23/08/2024: Sono venuto per la prima volta su consiglio di mio cugino, devo dire che il posto è romantico molto curato e caratteristico, cucina eccellente pesce fresco piatti abbondanti gentilezza del personale che dire ci torneremo presto ,complimenti !!!!

22/08/2024: FANTASTICO! Il miglior ristorante di Castiglione… e negli anni ne ho provati parecchi. Location intima e piatti davvero meritevoli, positivamente stupito, le porzioni abbandonanti e prezzi più che corretti. Unica nota ‘negativa’: il caldo. Non andava (o forse non c’è) l’aria condizionata, detto ciò, ampiamente ripagato da come si mangia bene.

07/07/2024: Elegant restaurant with very friendly staff. The raw materials are of high quality and the combinations are certainly interesting. We didn't enjoy the experience much despite having taken a tasting menu with wine pairing. We were surprised by the complete lack of attention for a little dog we had with us: we weren't even offered a small bowl of water. It's worth it, but there are some elements that surprised us negatively: the bathroom was old and not very well looked after and the entrance, perhaps not the main one, was a bit abandoned with some boxes in front of the counter. In short, having already had many experiences in starred restaurants, we can say that the food is worth it, but the expectations for a two-star restaurant were decidedly high and not fully satisfied.

17/06/2024: An evening of surprises, all positive. The approachability and creativeness of the menu, the outstanding wine list (with very reasonable prices), the graceful service, and the wonderful setting. Most impressive that the hostess has been here for over half a century, there must be something magical in the water… most certainly worth a visit. Nota bene … several reviews confuse the simpler “Giardino” with the 2 Michelin star restaurant “Caino”. This review is for the latter, which has tasting menus from ca. €200.

14/08/2024: We ate very well, both first and second courses were excellent! The special tripe. The lady who welcomed us, the owner, was very welcoming and kind. All very positive, thank you ✨

10/08/2024: I ate very well, the fish lasagna was great. The home-made desserts are also excellent. We will definitely be back to eat the cacciucco. Cozy place in style with the name. Very kind and attentive owners.

12/07/2024: I ordered a grilled fish with baked potatoes, almost non-existent potatoes, there was just a thin slice of taste. Too bad because the fish wasn't bad, sorry to see it fall on such a cheap item. I recommend changing the name on the menu if you don't want to betray customer expectations, or supplement with more potatoes. The dessert (brownie with ice cream) was very good. My sister had the tortelli and they were good. Very convivial environment, but we were a little annoyed by the mosquitoes. Good service except that the waiter, picking up the plate of mixed grill, dropped some on my shirt, dirtying it. Let's say that the experience was neutral.

10/07/2024: It was the first time that my wife and I ate at this restaurant and we were very satisfied with the quality of the dishes and the quantity.

31/08/2024: This year we went to the seaside in Castiglione della Pescaia and along the way, on a roundabout, there is this place. We booked the day before for the mid-August evening. I got the tortelli with wild boar ragù, my partner courgettes with ragù filling and the boy's veal steak and a side dish of courgette flowers. All the food was very good and my partner tasted one of my tortellos calling it spectacular. The portions seemed a little small to us. The place is rustic but very well kept. The service was good.

26/08/2024: Greetings I went to this restaurant with a couple of friends with children for dinner The location is beautiful but unfortunately I can't say the same about the food We opted for the fish but honestly I strongly advise against it First courses made with cream that I practically didn't sleep at night Fried paranza without fish but nothing special... Grilled fish, actually swordfish but practically raw Pizzas have to be satisfied even though they have a wood oven. The only positive note is the desserts. Finally, I would perhaps recommend it for meat but if you opt for fish, definitely not! Greetings

18/08/2024: Despite the reservation, the table was assigned to us 1 hour late without offering us a timing or a drink unlike other tables. Anonymous location in the hours after sunset, the service was aseptic and detached. There were 8 of us and when we expect to spend €65 each it is for a much higher quality of food than other cheaper restaurants in the area have accustomed us to. When we asked for the bitters offered to make up for the long wait, the owner refused to comply, putting them on the bill without communicating it and mocking us by offering a second free round which out of moral integrity we refused. Red herring for tourists

31/08/2024: Good but not as excellent as the price would require. Spaghetti alla corsara with sardines and pistachio pesto, they were good but you couldn't taste the sardines and it was practically a pistachio cream. The crab pici had just glimpsed the crab.

30/08/2024: Very kind, fast service. Excellent first courses, second course not very good, as are the vegetables. A lot of oil but the sensation that it was not olive.

15/07/2024: This hotel makes you feel at home. The attention and care for the guest shown by all the staff, from the owner to the cleaning ladies, are impeccable. The food and the quality of the ingredients are excellent. The hotel is a few steps from the beach and is surrounded by the pine forest which keeps the outside temperature always pleasant. Perhaps the only flaw is that the hotel is not very close to the center and this forces you to use your own car if you have small children and if you want to reach it. However, it is ideal for those seeking tranquility. Thank you for making us have a wonderful holiday.

15/08/2024: Ottima serata, anzi direi serate visto che non è la prima volta che veniamo in questo locale cibo semplice pesce ottimo spaghetti alle vongole e gnocchetti agli scampi super per non parlare della frittura mista ottima sorbetto caffè amaro e dal titolare al personale persone squisite!!

23/07/2024: Outrageously picturesque. Great food and accommodations, family friendly pool, cute Tuscan towns nearby for pizza etc. A perfect few days to experience Tuscanny. It’s luxurious in its simplicity, beauty, delicious local food and wine, service and surroundings.

20/05/2024: This is truly a gem to stay. The charm and atmosphere of the location is fantastic. The buildings, the garden, the decoration and the facilities are simply perfect. The staff makes that complete. They make you feel like you have a home in Tuscany instead of just a hotel to stay in. The restaurant and bar complete the picture with super delicious food and drinks! We already want to go back!

26/07/2024: Excellent restaurant, well prepared and tasty food with carefully chosen ingredients. Excellent pizza. Exquisite desserts. Welcoming and familiar atmosphere often enlivened by excellent live music. If you are in the area you must have dinner at Colonia. If you are not in the area you have to come specifically.
