13/04/2026: A place that's so much more than just a restaurant. My family and I had dinner at Il Barretto and found a warm and authentic atmosphere that made you feel immediately at ease, right at home.
You can clearly sense the passion in the kitchen and the quality of the ingredients. We went for the Fiorentina and were more than satisfied! The meat was incredibly tender, melting in your mouth, incredible.
Finally, I wanted to focus especially on the service and sincerely thank the staff for their smiles, kindness, and attentiveness. Everything was impeccable. You are professionals.
We left with a wonderful feeling, that of having had an experience we absolutely want to repeat. We will be back soon, without a doubt.
13/04/2026: A truly wonderful experience! Impeccable service with attentive and very friendly waiters; you immediately feel at ease. The dishes were excellent, everything was truly perfect from start to finish.

15/04/2026: Hands down, the best meal on our trip. The Florentine steak was phenomenal. The potatoes that came with it were amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful. We sat outside in the wonderful atmosphere of Piazza Signoria. It could not have been better! I highly recommend this restaurant.

11/04/2026: We called the restaurant to arrange takeaway (tired kids and all).
The staff were so thoughtful, everything was ready within 15 minutes and more importantly very tasty.
The meatballs were good with great tomato sauce. Try the mushroom and tortelli in veal, cream and porcino sauce.

12/05/2026: Wonderful family run restaurant serving delicious freshly made food. But if you are into Tiramisu, be aware they only make a limited number of servings per day, and they all get eaten.
The Peposo, Tuscan beef stew, is exceptional as was the Creme Brulee which caramelized at the table.
Patronized by locals you need to make reservations for the weekend.

The food is prepared with care down to the smallest detail, allowing you to savor the flavors of everything offered.
The portions allow you to try multiple dishes and leave feeling full of flavors and an appetite.
We chose to complete the coupon with a Trentino wine and desserts from Martarè.

29/12/2025: Very friendly and kind staff, very good food and a quiet atmosphere where you can chat with people at the table without having to raise your voice, I recommend it to anyone passing through Florence or are in the area.
26/12/2025: Had Diavola, it was slightly bigger than most other places.
The quality of dough was superb. Restaurant was busy as eh but it came troppo veloche ie fast within quicker the one might think.
Cherry on top was mascarpone Pandoro special cake made at Xmas by mumma . It was best restaurant desert I've tried since 2 months in 4 cities .
Props to family run and operated venues. This place is a Neighborgood gem . Fair prices too. A lot of flair.

03/04/2026: Amazing experience. I went 7 months ago and still think of this place. Chef was super welcoming and engaging. Food was the best we had during our entire trip in Tuscany. Even the music choice was great. We made sure to come back a second time before leaving the country.
Whenever someone mentions they are visiting Florence, I write the name of the restaurant down and tell them this is a must on their trip. I will continue sending Gabriele business from Canada for as long as he decides to keep cooking.

10/04/2026: An awesome take-away counter for affordable, real, authentic Neapolitan pizza. The owner works alone behind his counter and makes the pizza from scratch in front of your eyes, before sliding it into his wood burning oven to bake. The pizza itself was amazing, and provided the perfect evening snack!
04/04/2026: The best pizza for the money in all of Florence, even the slices. The manager, I think his name is Fabbio, is very friendly and kind!
It's not expensive and the quality is very good. The only downside is that, despite closing at 9:30, most days they run out of products by 8.
That says a lot about how good their pizza is!!

16/04/2026: Nothing to say about the service, everyone was very friendly, but the food wasn't good and it's not Peruvian food. They gave me a "chifa combo" that didn't have the vegetables that noodles usually go with; instead, it had diced zucchini and no sauce made with ingredients like soy sauce and oyster sauce. The chaufa was passable, the carapulcra was just a potato sauce with a piece of pork in the middle, and the ceviche was completely bland. A one-and-done experience.

14/03/2026: We stopped for pizza here given its proximity to the Mandela Forum, especially after seeing the positive reviews.
We were warmly welcomed and ordered two pizzas and a covaccino with Nutella to follow. The dough was very good and easy to digest. The prices are fair, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We'll definitely revisit it if we're in the area in the future!
14/03/2026: €3+ for adding buffalo mozzarella to a pizza is a bit high, but the staff was friendly and the food was good, even though the pizza had a lot of oil.

03/05/2026: The best pasta I had in Florence, on a quaint sidewalk in the city. The pappardelle with mushrooms and the tiramisu were outstanding, and the service was incredible. I would recommend it to any friend traveling here.
