06/08/2024: amazing service, ambiance was amazing and food was so yummy !!

06/08/2024: GOOD POINTS The timing between courses was excellent and we were well looked after. The staff were fun, friendly and talkative. The food was mostly ok, we had chopped tomatoes on toast to start followed by pasta dishes. The portion size was just right and the ambiance was nice. POINTS TO IMPROVE There wasn't a house wine available and the wine list was not inline with the prices of the dishes. The first wine started at 35 euros but a pasta dish was 11. Half a bottle was not possible. We sat inside and there was an air conditioning unit. Unfortunately it was simply too hot in the restaurant to fully relax so we left after our main. The sauce was smeared and dried onto the side of the plate making it look like an unwashed dish. Blobs not smears are my preference here. Please check the toilets for cleanliness adding sufficient supplies of paper. My other half was not happy. We had a side salad but it came with no dressing or even a hint of olive oil. The establishment was clearly overrun with only half a restaurant full. The till area was a complete mess and was quite shocking. Finally please fix or remove the clock on the wall.

05/07/2024: Dear Diary - Stepping into Hosteria del Bricco felt like stepping into a warm embrace. (I believe) The family-run vibe was undeniable, with various artwork lining the walls. The food mirrored that warmth – fresh, comforting Italian fare that tasted like it had been passed down through the years. The staff, likely some of those same family members, were incredibly friendly and attentive. This was a great find, a bit away from the tourists scene, the restaurant retained a cozy charm. It was a delightful spot for a delicious and authentic Italian experience.

29/08/2024: We stopped in here while visiting Florence and we did not regret it. It is right next door to a viral sandwich shop from tiktok so follow the crowds. We asked the staff member to choose one for us as we weren’t sure what to pick - he made us up two completely different sandwiches and we could not pick what one we liked better. He also checked with us beforehand if we would like the fillings he had chosen and gave us little tasters to make sure! We had a glass of wine and sat inside - it was a highlight of our visit to Florence. Would highly recommend

26/07/2024: We’ve been here twice this week, both times a great experience. Amazing food, great wine selection but above all service which you don’t experience very often in italy. Super pleasant experience overall. Would definitely recommend especially for people with food allergies because they take these very very serious!!

21/08/2024: We went for dinner and we really liked the place. The waiters were very correct and the pizzas were very good, with an excellent quality-price ratio. Very small place, with a terrace on the street, so it fills up very quickly. Better to book before. Advisable.

20/08/2024: We went there twice and both the times they had been very rude. The guy waiting tables had very bad attitude. We felt he was a bit raciest as well because he treated others very politely. We went there after seeing rating of the place. But now I feel the rating could be faked. We did not try the food so I can’t say anything about that but they need to work on their customer service. Never going there again.

23/08/2024: We were passing through and stopped by chance. It was a pleasant discovery and a great experience. Excellent cuisine meticulously prepared. Compliments to the young waitress who helped us a lot in choosing the dishes.

Each dish is a delight for the palate, accompanied by impeccable service that completes the experience.

02/08/2024: Great little place chef owned and run. Core cheeks, tripe, delicious pasta. Wonderful Local cuisine. Air conditioned interior. He also made a little cheese pasta for my 8 year old.

30/07/2024: One of the best street foods I’ve tried. Super nice service: very happy to show us what was available and give us recommendations. Very tasty food. Had the trippa with bread, and Lampredotto spinach with bread. Coming back tomorrow for seconds before leaving for the airport. Highly recommended.

25/08/2024: Alla mia collezione di cene al Borgo San Jacopo mancava il menù estivo, così appena rientrata dalle vacanze ho organizzato con una mia cara amica. Abbiamo gustato pienamente i piatti che Claudio e la brigata hanno pensato per la stagione estiva, iniziando con l’anguria nell’amuse bouche, poi la melanzana come antipasto, per proseguire con gli spaghetti e caviale e ostriche , lo scorfano e finale con il piccione. Un girandola di sapori accompagnata dal perfetto abbinamento dei vini proposti da Salvatore, sommelier attento alle novità, capace di introdurre un vino del Libano e poi farti apprezzare le grandi maison italiane. Impeccabile anche l’accoglienza, Nicola, Domiziana ci hanno coccolate per tutta la sera, la loro è stata un’attenzione misurata che insieme alla presenza professionale di Claudio e Lorenzo in sala ha reso la serata speciale.

24/08/2024: Ieri sera siamo stati a cena a borgo San Jacopo …. Sempre una conferma! L’accoglienza è straordinaria…. In particolare grazie a Nicola, restaurant manager, con la complicità deliziosa di Domiziana. Il cibo è stato eccellente con particolare elogio alla melanzana ed il piccione del menu estivo ( da provare) e tutto accompagnato da vini eccezionale scelti con grande cura da Salvatore biscotti che non delude mai ….. una certezza tutto

03/09/2024: This is AMAZING! It is better than the “hyped” TikTok spots. They serve quality delicious sandwiches. We found ourselves going a few times during our trip. We love the #1 Suicida. Order that one… add pecorino cheese cream, and thank me later. Also, the #13 Dante is great too! If you see the line long during lunchtime, don’t worry it goes by fast. Claudio, was one of the staff is awesome! GO HERE!

07/06/2024: Very nice little place in the streets of the center of Florence, characterized by lots of bottles of wine on the walls and a somewhat wine bar style (the name suggested something). Developing in length, some tables appear rather attached to the neighboring one, so let's say that you don't have a truly "intimate" dinner, but this is not a problem. Very friendly staff, they also provide some advice on both dishes and pairings that can be made with wine. We opt for some crostone with livers as a starter and two types of first courses as the main course: "fettuccine" (I don't remember exactly the pasta format) with truffle and ravioli filled with wild boar. All very good, perhaps not very abundant dishes as far as I'm concerned. We conclude the dinner with a tiramisu (very good) and the classic Cantucci with vin santo. Really very good dinner and good value for money.

02/06/2024: A few Reddit users suggested this place and so glad they did. The food and service were fantastic. The steak is meant to be shared, far too large for one person. It was delicious with and without finishing salt provided. I love octopus and this was cooked to perfection, in my opinion. The ravioli was to die for, don’t sleep on it! Not pictured but also excellent: tartare and tiramisu. The service was also great. The owner and waiter were kind and attentive.

17/08/2024: An incredible discovery. Great inventiveness and perfect work with mainly locally sourced products. Cuisine worthy of a Michelin star. Try them before they're starred! Very successful wine pairing. Careful and diligent service. MUST DO in Tuscany ⭐️⭐️⭐️
