03/10/2025: I had dinner at this lovely place, surrounded by greenery by the pool. Well, what can I say? The dishes were exquisite. We had a six-course tasting menu, and I gave it 4 stars because some dishes, for my taste, were a bit too heavy with oil, and at the end of the experience, I felt a bit heavy in both my mouth and stomach. Perhaps the price was a bit high, €75 per person, considering we only had water and the dishes used were fairly simple and humble. The service was very friendly and attentive, explaining each dish to us as it arrived in an excellent manner. I'll be back for another experience. Congratulations 👏

07/09/2025: Nestled in a beautiful, meticulously maintained natural setting, Al 588 offers a refined and authentic culinary experience. The service is impeccable, with attentive and professional staff. The value for money is exceptional for a top-tier restaurant. The wine selection is excellent, perfectly complementing the amazing cuisine. The homemade bread and olive oil are delicious and a great introduction to the overall quality of the food. We particularly enjoyed the fillet steak with porcini mushrooms and the "Montagna Toscana" dessert. A restaurant that masterfully combines taste, elegance, and local tradition. Highly recommended. Top of the list in Florence!

08/12/2025: We found Carro Matto by chance, and it was a winning move! The Schiacciata "La Divina" with caramelized onions, fig jam, lard, and gorgonzola is highly recommended.

21/11/2025: The management didn't give us a very friendly welcome. They insisted we park our car in a slanted parking lot, not parallel to the road, where no spaces were marked. This meant our car was invading the road, beyond the white line marking it. To avoid any arguments, we parked elsewhere. I should point out that a disabled person was with us. After lunch, the parking lot was still empty. Lunch and drinks were below expectations. We won't be returning.

16/10/2025: Impeccable service. I was looking for a particular book, they found it for me, and in half a minute it was gift-wrapped and ready.

08/09/2025: Spectacular! Lots of variety and very friendly staff. You can find history books and recreational games in different languages.

04/12/2025: I had a lovely plate of pici alla carbonara, unparalleled in its deliciousness. Compliments to chef Riccardo, but also to the person who served me! The atmosphere was very family-friendly, warm both inside and out (given the temperature outside). I'll definitely be back.

04/11/2025: Everything was great, the food was delicious, the service impeccable. Sometimes in Italy they're a bit rough around the edges, but here they were very friendly. We all left happy. The house wine was very good. A must-try if you like to try something different: the wild boar.

30/10/2025: An excellent pizzeria restaurant in the historic center of Montaione, with decades of tradition and owners whose family has already run other restaurants. The pizza is a highlight: excellent dough, generous portions, and a very extensive menu. During the warmer months, try the outdoor veranda, with its truly remarkable panoramic view. The interior spaces are also quaint and welcoming. The "Lorenzo" pizza is also a must-try, regardless of the individual ingredients. They all work together beautifully.

23/11/2025: We called at 1:00 PM to reserve a table for 2:00 PM, knowing we were a bit late, but were told it was no problem. Once we arrived, however, we were greeted very rudely; what I believe was the head waiter even exclaimed in front of the waiter who was setting up our table, "Who took these!?" as if our presence wasn't welcome. No problem... we won't be returning.

07/10/2025: A truly special neighborhood bar for aperitivo. Original and unique cocktails. The bartender is a true genius: very young, but he knows his stuff. Try it and believe it.

09/11/2025: We spent a weekend in Barberino yesterday after reading a lot of positive reviews, and we can only confirm them! A typical restaurant with local products. We had a delicious Florentine steak accompanied by salad, tomatoes, and delicious buttered spinach!!! The hostess is incredibly kind, she makes you feel right at home!! The cantucci biscuits are also excellent!! We'll be back!

27/11/2025: Our experience here was disappointing overall. We visited as a group of five — including one child and two grandparents — and planned to share a couple of pastas, a Florentine steak, and a couple of sides. Instead of accommodating this, the server pushed to bring “equal portions” of both pastas for all five people. We were never told this would increase the cost so dramatically, and the two pastas alone ended up totaling about €100. It felt more like an upsell than genuine guidance. The food itself was underwhelming. Our Florentine steak was bland and noticeably under-seasoned — especially disappointing after watching the same server present another table’s steak with salt sprinkled alongside the meat. The inconsistency was hard to overlook. There was also no coperto listed, and the server made a direct comment that came across as soliciting a tip, which is not customary in Italy and felt uncomfortable. Overall, the unexpected pricing, upselling tactics, bland food, inconsistent presentation, and pressure for a tip made this a disappointing visit. Two stars for the ambiance, but we would not return.

11/10/2025: An hour's wait for a plate of fresh pasta with pre-made sauce. We arrived when the place was empty; people who arrived much later were served first. When asked to explain the long wait, the staff was rude. I'd like to comment on the food, but I'm still waiting.

30/09/2025: Fabulous spot for some pasta. Found it by chance and the prices are very reasonable. Only disappointment is that I didn't get a chance to eat there again
