30/11/2025: Everything was really excellent, the pizza was delicious and the staff were very friendly. I will definitely be back!

21/11/2025: This pizzeria offers a different promotion every day, which is sure to please your wallet. The appetizers are delicious, the desserts are superb, and the pizza gets top marks! Finally, a good, light, digestible, and above all, quality pizza, whether you order it in or take it out. It doesn't get rubbery like it often does...Well done, guys!

29/01/2026: I couldn't find the restaurant; I think it's changed its name and owners, unfortunately. I went because of a friend's recommendation, but I didn't find the restaurant.

24/12/2025: I returned after many years. The owners have changed, but they're very kind and made me feel welcome. The pizza is always good. The only flaw is the location, located outside in a gazebo facing the market square but heated by small heaters. I ate the pizza quickly because I was freezing. I'd better come back in spring next time.

12/03/2026: This is a place where you have to mix and match the ingredients yourself. That means if you fail at combining them, it might actually taste terrible. Don't add the spicy sauce... though the bread was delicious. Also, a panini costs 12 euros.

26/02/2026: A charming little corner in the heart of Florence and certainly one of the best places to enjoy a spritz. The food is delicious, and the owner is incredibly welcoming and makes you feel right at home. A must-visit when you're strolling through Florence.

19/02/2026: I went for dinner a few days ago, inspired by the "not-so-exciting" menu. I was thoroughly satisfied. Very small (I think it seats no more than 15-20 people), but truly interesting in terms of the menu (with decidedly local dishes), the service (friendly and attentive), and the price (given that we're in San Frediano). Congratulations on your work.

06/03/2026: We had lunch on a holiday, the tagliatelle with wild boar ragù was delicious, and the mixed fried fish was excellent.

08/03/2026: Fabulous food, great cocktails and a big suprise from this micro bar and eating establishment. Christian, the young owner, took on the task of this great little place not far from the Ponte Santa Trinita (Bridge). As we walked up from the bridge it was up a street on the left just off the small Piazza Della Passera. We were off to eat at the Piazza but spotted Carro Matto, heard laughter, great 80s music and popped in. It's very small, well equipped and has a couple of tables outside Christian welcomed us and gave us sound advice on what to order. Great English, sound advice. The menu isn't huge. No deserts. Just as well as by the time we are their fabulous pasta dishes we were full up The cocktails and happy hour were a bonus. It was soon full of local people. Christians uncle prepared and sliced meats and food too Such a friendly family concern. We had a lovely couple of hours. Please give this local chap the opportunity to show you a genuine side of Florence. You know my reviews are never biased. This was a big suprise in a small package and excellent prices.

08/12/2025: We found Carro Matto by chance, and it was a winning move! The Schiacciata "La Divina" with caramelized onions, fig jam, lard, and gorgonzola is highly recommended.

09/01/2026: The restaurant is very elegant and the outdoor garden is truly beautiful. The food is good, with some sophisticated dishes, though perhaps not all of them were perfectly executed. For example, the carbonara crostini, which I didn't like. The fillet steak, on the other hand, was delicious and cooked to perfection. The high price is partially justified by the beauty of the location.

09/12/2025: Amazing experience, highly recommend. The quality of the food and service was wonderful, especially being much more affordable than majority of competitors. Also note that it is very gluten friendly.

03/11/2025: We had dinner at this trattoria on a Saturday evening. The place is small and welcoming, and the staff is attentive and friendly. We split four Tuscan crostini, which were delicious, and then opted for two first courses: homemade gnocchi with Parmesan and saffron fondue, and pappardelle with wild boar. The wine was good, and the homemade bread, schiacciata, and savory breadsticks deserve a special mention.

13/10/2025: Wonderful small restaurant outside if the tourist areas - an easy walk from the piazza liberta. Despite my Italian being just okay I enjoyed communicating with the staff and having fun and ordering two amazing pastas, and an amazing Florentine steak for dinner, including getting a wine recommendation for a Chianti Classico which i will be trying to track down in the states ! The first course of pastas were both incredible , especially my wife’s gnocchi which were pillow soft! For second course, The Florentine steak was huge and the staff gave us some direction on how to eat it slowly, with some olive oil, and how to enjoy! Highly recommended!
