29/04/2025: Bel locale nel centro di Vicchio, prezzi buoni e ottimi cibo. L’uovo cotto a bassa temperatura è assolutamente da provare! Molto buono anche tutto il resto, dai primi al dolce passando per la carne.

14/04/2025: Siamo stati in questo ristorante una domenica a pranzo, personale gentilissimo e proprietario molto disponibile. Eravamo in quattro ed abbiamo preso dall’antipasto al dolce, tutto squisito e di ottima qualità. In base alle portate il proprietario ci ha consigliato anche un ottimo vino. Torneremo sicuramente, se passate da Vicchio andateci e non rimarrete delusi

24/06/2025: Honestly, fantastic food and amazing ambience. Yes the prices are abit on the expensive side but you get what you pay for with the quality and fine dining feel. I can definitely say I've paid much more for much less in other places. Would recommend if you want something special in florence!

We received a warm welcome, the service was fantastic, and the food was truly exceptional — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. A perfect dining experience from start to finish. Highly recommended — 10 out of 10!

06/07/2025: Another pizzeria selling its soul to maximize tourist money. Menu states on the cover (in black and white very annoyingly) that each person must order their own pizza in order to have a table. Pizza is way too large to be appropriate for one per person. Almost double the traditional size and far too much food for one person unless you’re trying to pack weight with 1500 calories of dough and cheese. The cheese was far too much, and the dough was salty. We get better wood-fired handmade dough pizza from numerous locations at home in Seattle, and Seattle isn’t even known for good pizza. It’s sad to see pizzerias like this selling their soul for the tourist money, but seems to now be common across Italy.

05/07/2025: Been a couple of times because it is the only pizzeria in the area. Unfortunately both times treated badly by the service and the second time in addition to bouncing us because "there were no tables", at 7:15 pm with half the terrace free, they refused to let us do takeaway justifying that they were full ... Denying even takeaway never happened ... Too bad, there will not be a third time.

09/06/2025: We ended up here by chance and were thrilled. All the dishes we had were delicious (from the starters, to the main courses, to the desserts). Smiling and kind staff, trattoria-like atmosphere and prices. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

28/06/2025: This was quite literally the best dish I’ve ever had in Italy, and maybe in Europe. I had the red onion buttons with a balsamic glaze and I swear I’ll be dreaming about this dish forever. On top of that, the service was so kind. Highly recommend.

02/07/2025: We were really tired due to long transfer time to Florence, this was the only place nearby and opened late, so we gave it a chance. Best decision so far. The owner, he really knew his food. He recommended us what to eat, to drink and please listen to him. The steak here was probably the best steak I have ever eaten in my life and the price was insanely good. My parents keep showing this place to others, talking about their best steak in Europe. Please give this place a try and shout out to the whole team there!

30/06/2025: I'm bad at pictures. My wife stopped in on our 1 year anniversary trip. We both loved the atmosphere of the old building. It has a very rustic charm. They have a wide selection of wines, all lining the walls. The server was very helpful, the menu was small which I prefer. Our starters were fantastic, pastas were perfect, and the bistecca was excellent. Bus stop is only 3 minutes away, plenty of Airbnbs nearby. If you're staying in/passing this area don't miss this place.

17/07/2025: I spent two days in Florence with my wife and son in July 2025. On the first evening, we were looking for a restaurant on the way from our hotel to Piazza Michelangelo. We were guided solely by the reviews and chose La Scarpetta. The bottom line... we didn't regret it for a second. When we entered the very unassuming restaurant, we initially thought we were in the wrong place. There's nothing typically Italian about this restaurant. The interior is made of plywood panels, but they were really well presented. The server was an Italian-Asian who was extremely friendly and accommodating. He spoke perfect English, making communication easy and engaging in small talk was really fun. Now, let's get to the food. My family ordered egg-battered and deep-fried white bread with mozzarella on a bed of arugula, and I ordered the beef tartare from the specials menu. The beef tartare was perfectly dressed, tasted excellent, and presented in the style of a Michelin-starred restaurant. My family also really enjoyed the mozzarella bread. For the second (and final) course, we had two pasta carbonaras and one tagliata with Parmesan and arugula. There was nothing wrong with either dish. The guancale in the carbonara was very crispy, and the entire dish was perfect. The tagliata was also perfectly cooked and served medium-rare, just the way my wife likes it. The evening was rounded off with an excellent bottle of Chianti Reserva from Tuscany. If we ever find ourselves in Florence again, we will definitely visit La Scarpetta again. We really felt very comfortable, received excellent service, and had an even better meal.

08/07/2025: We had a great meal at Trattoria La Scarpetta. We had a light meal with chicken and mushrooms with grilled vegetables, followed by a delicious tiramisu for dessert!

Every dish carried emotional weight and culinary brilliance, and the service was simply flawless. A Michelin star doesn’t quite capture the depth of what this team delivers. A must-visit in Florence.

Every dish told a story, from forest-foraged vegetables to flavorful eel, finishing with dessert that left us reflective and connected to the dish. Service? Impeccable. The Michelin star feels like a modest understatement—this place and its food is next level.

22/05/2025: Outdoor setting and relaxing lounge chairs offer amazing Tuscany vistas. Food is home made and delicious. Staff are friendly and families are welcome.

28/06/2025: A superb experience. We arrived at this vineyard by chance, and the shaded terrace inspired us to have lunch there. We were able to taste the vineyard's wines and enjoy simple dishes made with fresh produce from the garden—a real treat! We also took the opportunity to buy chanti and vin santo, on the good advice of the French-speaking manager.

16/06/2025: Unbelievable food for the price. The fish dishes were superb and portion sizes were generous. Worth booking as it gets very busy.
