11/03/2026: The location is great, but the management is terrible. It was a rainy day, but when I arrived it was not raining. There was an empty and dry table outside on the side, so I sat down. The waiters rudely asked me to get up and told me I couldn’t sit there, even though the tables right behind me in the same row were occupied. Their attitude was very unpleasant and unprofessional. No matter how good the location is, service is part of what customers pay for. Because of this experience, I will definitely not choose this place again.

25/02/2026: I had lunch at Trattoria Tiberio on Via delle Ruote in Florence, and the experience was decidedly positive, with a few small nuances worth mentioning. The restaurant is an authentic trattoria, free from modern constraints or unnecessary stage effects. You come here to eat traditional Tuscan cuisine done well, and that's exactly what you get on the plate. No creative reinterpretations, no stylistic exercises: just classic recipes prepared with care and using quality ingredients. And it's precisely this consistency that makes it so compelling. The chef is very friendly and exudes true passion for what he does, one of those presences that makes the atmosphere more human and genuine. The waiter, young and friendly, also contributes to the pleasant and spontaneous service. The only slightly less warm note was the owner, who wasn't particularly outgoing: nothing serious, but you could sense a more formal welcome than the rest of the team. The food is good, solid, and reassuring. The flavors are clean and true to tradition. You leave satisfied, without that feeling of heaviness or superficial cuisine that unfortunately occurs elsewhere. The wine list isn't very extensive, but it does contain some noteworthy labels: limited but sensible choices. The price is around €50 per person. It's not a cheap trattoria, that much must be said. However, the quality of the food and the overall experience justify the expense. It's not the place to go to save money, but the place to go when you want to eat well, without surprises and with solid reliability. In summary: well-executed traditional cuisine, an authentic atmosphere, and young, pleasant service. A few inflexible welcomes and a limited wine list prevent it from giving a fifth star, but the overall rating remains entirely positive. A pass. I would gladly return. ⭐⭐⭐

05/03/2026: I shared dinner with 20 friends on Saturday in this stunning setting, eating and drinking very well. The restaurant has recently undergone a renovation and is, to say the least, beautiful and welcoming, a place where we feel at home. The food is excellent, the steak is special, and their first and second courses are truly exquisite, as is the excellent service, and the wines they offer are very good and high-quality. The quality/price ratio is also excellent, I will definitely return and recommend it to everyone because it's worth it!

15/03/2026: As tourists, we were just steps from the pizzeria. A warm welcome, and on our second evening, they even offered us a complimentary aperitif! The pizzas were absolutely delicious. The waiters/waitresses were very friendly. And a good wine. Thank you so much.

11/02/2026: A very nice restaurant with a carefully designed dining room, perhaps just a little dimly lit. The pizzas are excellent, but I was surprised by the fish-based first courses, which were excellent and the portions were just right to fill you up. In my opinion, their strong point is the service. The staff were incredibly kind, and I often heard other customers compliment the young, super-helpful waiters. Well done. It's a shame about the location; it deserves to be on a central street. Highly recommended.

It features two main rooms, a small private area, and an outdoor area adjacent to the main road in the summer. The interior is decorated in a rustic, welcoming, and warm Tuscan style. Food: The menu features both seafood and meat dishes (though not predictable), but the pizza is my favorite. It's well-risen and easy to digest. The menu offers a wide variety of tasty and innovative options, often based on seasonal ingredients. A staple in several courses is the bardiccio, a typical local sausage, flavorful and definitely worth trying. Service: Courteous, punctual, and helpful. In summary: My wife and I often frequent Bastian Contrario for the excellent variety of pizzas they offer, the warm and welcoming atmosphere, the attention to ingredients, and the beer pairings.

15/03/2026: A great place to eat a great pizza. I've tried them all myself, and they're definitely good. The only drawback is the high prices for the Roman-style and steamed pizzas, while the Neapolitan-style pizza is in line with many other places. Reservations are recommended.
