The loveliest cafe in Florence. It is famous for its wine window, but I would also recommend having a glass of wine inside. The employees are diligent and very friendly. It's a great place to sit down and have a drink when you're a little tired.

We had an aperitif and a cocktail after dinner. We had some glasses of wine and then some very special cocktails. Very kind and attentive staff. Beautiful place and the experience of the window is also beautiful. Advise

We stumbled upon this place while looking for the traditional wine windows in Florence. So after getting out drinks at the window (such a great tradition) we went inside and had some tiramisu. The interior is beautifully decorated and the staff is very friendly. We really liked it!

We stopped for the famous wine window in Florence. One of the very few still operating. Then we sat in the restaurant for a few drinks from a very friendly staff. It was not busy on our visit but there can be a line when the tourists are here for the wine window service. This is a place to see. It is not too far from the ponte vecchia bridge.

If you are looking for a fusion restaurant, this is it! Varied menu, somewhat confusing to read due to the schedules, gourmet dishes with very good textures and presentations, adequate portions and for all tastes. I recommend taking a bottle of wine from the Tuscany region, if you are in a hurry you can order your glass through the anti-contagion window.

We found out about this place from Stanley Tucci’s series during the episode in Tuscany and decided to try it for lunch when visiting Florence for the day. It was very convenient to get to…only 600 meters or so from Ponte Vecchio & a couple blocks past the White Boar. The atmosphere was very nice and the service was quite good as well. Among the dishes we ordered, I would highly recommend the Spaghettini Babae with pistachios and shrimp, the Tuscan tomato & bread soup with ricotta, and the Rigatoni Freschi with tomato & basil sauce. All were excellent! This is an amazing spot tucked away a bit from the busier streets & piazzas of Florence and I would highly recommend it!

I went here later at night. I went to the wine window outside for the experience. It is a cool old idea. The wine was also good.

Sono stata da Babae per ordinare il calice di drink dalla loro classica buchetta del vino!!! Un esperienza torppo sfiziosa da fare assolutamente se vi trovate e Firenze . Ce un fatti una buchetta dove suonare il campanello e ordinare il vostro drink o calice di vino e vi verrà servito direttamente da quella buchetta come facevano i nobili fiorentini nell' antichità! Il prezzo del drink altino ma consiglio l esperienza

15/02/2024: Premetto che è stata un'esperienza positiva, il locale è molto gradevole e la pizza da me ordinata, una Margherita con bufala, è stata una delle più leggere e digeribili che io abbia mangiato. Anche il dessert, un tortino con cuore caldo al pistacchio è stato da leccarsi i baffi. Il tutto coronato da un servizio ineccepibile. Non do il massimo dei voti per i prezzi che ho trovato sinceramente un po' alti e anche per il fatto che nel menù i dessert non ci sono, quindi il clente non sa quanto va a spendere ( 7,50 euro per la cronaca) . Se non avessimo avuto la promozione di the Fork , che ci consentiva di scalare 50 euro dal conto, avremmo speso 30 euro a testa per una pizza, una birra piccola, dolce e caffè. Troppo. Altra cosa, la musica di sottofondo...2 ore di Fabrizio De André di sabato sera sono troppe 😉
