14/04/2025: I'm almost 15 months late leaving my positive review. We ate here on 30 December 2023. Simple, convivial place with excellent cuisine. We had a great time and the atmosphere was very pleasant. I recommend it and hope to return

12/04/2025: The serving for the grilled pork chop was big. I had 2 big pork meat. The chocolate mousse cake was good. The taste was not special, though. For me as a tourist, the place is lacking in atmosphere. It is a self-service restaurant with communal tables.

07/04/2025: A typical little restaurant as we like them, a stone's throw from the Uffizis. Fast and courteous service, I recommend the steak with mushrooms accompanied by dried beans. A real treat!

04/04/2025: Discovered by chance, the restaurant is really nice and well managed by Carmen and her husband in a nice Sicilian-Tuscan mix. Quality cheeses and very good real veal. Desserts are also recommended. We will return to taste other delicacies seen on the menu.

15/03/2025: Excellent food. The beef tartar is my best. Really amazing food, very tasty and well presented. The service is great as well. We loved the meat and the red wine. Very nice selection of red wine. Many thanks for this lovely dinner.

22/03/2025: One of those places where you can breathe love. All the service is offered with such kindness. The pappa al pomodoro, the sandwiches and the platter of typical Tuscan cured meats are excellent. The tiramisu is a must try... "awesome" and above all homemade by "mamma". The environment is small but really special and intimate.

18/02/2025: Locale gradevole, personale gentile e cameriere simpatico, eravamo in 7, prenotazione per le ore 13, alcuni arrivati alle ore 13:20 e serviti dell'antipasto dopo circa 20 minuti. A me il primo mi è arrivato dopo le ore 14:20 un po' lunga come attesa, una bella porzione tagliolini al granchio, un po' scotti e sommersi dal sugo, comunque buoni di sapore, secondo, fruttura totani e gamberi, porzione giusta, ma solo anellini, e 4 gamberi abbastanza grandi, frittura asciutta, morbida, peccato che mancavano le gambine che sono quelle che mi piacciono, di contorno verdure grigliate, melanzane zucchini e peperoni. Vino bianco frizzante, tra tutti un litro e ½. Non posso dire che mi ha entusiasmato ma neanche deluso, spesa media a testa poco meno di 32€.

07/04/2025: Let's set some expectations: The reason this place is SO popular is because it's super cheap! However, the food is also really good so the combination of the two is what makes it so appealing. Is it the best food I've had? No Is it good and tastey? YES. Is it worth the wait / queue / line? Maybe, depends what kind of experience you want and expect. Note that you can't reserve a table! The place is very pleasant and run by a family and you sit at a table with other people so there's room for everyone. It seems every day they have a different menu but if you check the menu you can get a rough idea of what they offer. Because the place serves so many tables the service can be a bit chaotic. However the staff is nice and the food comes really fast! Overall a super nice experience! We were 3 people having lots of dishes (and wine) and we ended up paying 20eur pp! Enjoy 😊

23/03/2025: Excellent selection of meats and cheeses, wide choice of rotisserie, groceries with fresh fruit and vegetables and wide selection of wines. Catering service with the possibility of having a workers' lunch. Very good steak also Angus. The tartare is the best in the area. Highly recommended

05/04/2025: A point of reference both for an aperitif with the cutting board of the day and a glass of wine and for after dinner for a nice amaro. It is impossible not to mention the provola and capocollo terrine. Finally, the owner is always ready to make you feel welcomed and at home. Unmissable

29/11/2024: Proprietario gentilissimo. Locale con vista sulle cave di Colonnata. Servizio semplice e fai da te. Ordini e poi vieni chiamato al bancone a ritirare il piatto pronto. Si instaura subito un rapporto cordiale con i proprietario molto gentili e disponibili a descrivere i vari cibi a disposizione, con particolare attenzione a fornire indicazioni sugli ingredienti dei cibi, per chi come me ha problemi di salute. Noi abbiamo ordinato gli sgabei ed un misto di formaggi ed ovviamente lardo. porzioni abbondanti ed il proprietario ci ha poi fornito dei sacchetti per portare via il cibo non consumato. tutto buonissimo ma le porzioni erano decisamente abbondanti. Ho capito che la gestione è a conduzioni famigliare. Tanto di cappello. Ah ovviamente abbiamo acquistato il lardo (buonissimo).

18/03/2025: Excelente pastelería, y el servicio era simplemente excepcional. Pedimos un poco de paisajismo para nuestro viaje en tren a Venecia, y los tenían listos a primera hora de la mañana.
