02/11/2025: We went to Fornello for the second time, accompanied by a couple of friends. The dinner was good, but I have to make a point: three of us chose the tagliolini with butter and white truffle. Typically, the truffle is cut at the table because it enhances the flavor of the truffle, and the weight per portion should be between 5 and 10 grams. In our case, however, the tagliolini were served directly from the kitchen with the truffle already on top, a minimal amount that left more room for the flavor of the butter. What a shame.

02/08/2025: We spent 14 days in Tuscany – and visited Mondo about every other day. No matter where else we tried ice cream, we never had it taste better than at Mondo. My absolute favorite – the affogatino – was fantastic! The staff was very friendly, and despite the language barrier, we always got along well. If we ever come back to this area, we'll definitely go back there.

30/10/2025: Post-Mugello lunch with a view... of Fiorentina! 😋 After a morning of roaring engines and breathtaking curves, we treated ourselves to a tasty break at Bonaugo! Arriving at 2:30 PM (when in some places they look askance at you), they greeted us with a smile and so much kindness. From there on... it was all downhill. Actually, no, it was pure pleasure! We started with two first courses that smelled of the woods: 🍝 Tortelli Mugellani with porcini mushrooms and Tagliolini with porcini mushrooms and truffle Then came HER: 🥩 The Bistecca alla Fiorentina - cooked rare to perfection, with a crispy crust on the outside and a tender and juicy inside, accompanied by beans al fiasco and fried potatoes. All washed down with a fresh and light house sparkling white and a Rosso di Montalcino that held its own against the queen Fiorentina with style. A sweet finale with a truly well-made strudel, which makes for a satisfying end to your meal. A family atmosphere, fast and courteous service, authentic dishes, and a fair bill. Would I go back? Absolutely. Perhaps hungrier. Or with any excuse. A top recommendation. Mugello style.

23/09/2025: A very beautiful place, with divinely prepared typical Maremma dishes. We had Maremma ravioli with wild boar ragu, fillet steak with porcini mushrooms, and wild boar cacciatore. Everything was delicious. Due to bad weather, we couldn't dine on the outdoor terrace; the tables are spread across various levels with a view of the valley, truly beautiful. Highly recommended.

17/09/2025: A friend highly recommended it to us. The place is located in Tirli, a small village nestled in the hinterland between Castiglione della Pescaia and Punta Ala. The sea view is stunning, and the tagliatelle, wild boar ragu, and onion crostini are excellent.

05/10/2025: The best pizzeria on Elba!! We've been going there for years now. Crispy, filling focaccias, easy-to-digest pizzas, amazing sandwiches, and delicious, plentiful fries. The owners are fantastic: helpful, polite, and welcoming... the lady even brings the pizzas to your table. Fantastic!! I wish there were more like this on the island. If you pass by, you can't help but stop by.

17/09/2025: An intimate venue with interesting historical details about Castruccio Castracani from the early 14th century. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable, and the food lives up to expectations. Excellent as both a pizzeria and a restaurant.

17/09/2025: I often come to the south for a quick drink of amaro or an aperitif. I've also had dinner a few times. It's an excellent place to meet friends and taste excellent amaros from different parts of Italy. Recommended. Lately, they've been offering an aperitif buffet. Excellent and very generous. If you come early enough, you can find seating both inside and outside; otherwise, you can enjoy your drink standing in the square.

Everyone was always smiling and ready to accommodate any need. The food was as good as a restaurant in an osteria, and delicious to say the least! ENRICO, NUMBER ONE ⭐️
