08/08/2025: David, Giorgia, and Dog are possible the best hosts I have ever interacted with. Their farm stay is comfortable with breathtaking views. There’s much to do from visiting other Tuscan villages or bigger cities, to relaxing on the patio with a good book and a glass of wine. No detail is overlooked during your stay and everything is carefully crafted including their itinerary guide book, included breakfasts, and once a week farm-to-table dinners. Wonderful, wonderful stay. Could not be happier.

02/08/2025: The B&B was fantastic. The location was beautiful and secluded, yet good restaurants were conveniently close by. David was a fantastic host, incredibly friendly and attentive. The extra virgin olive oil tour with accompanying dinner he offers is highly recommended!

06/07/2025: L'unico difetto di questo posto è che non è accanto a casa mia!!! Una quantità ESAGERATA di carni prelibate provenienti da vari angoli del mondo, ce ne sono di tutti i tipi: dry aged, grass fed, italiana, irlandese, uruguaiana, wagyu, enormi tomahawk, ma anche hamburger belli farciti, arrosto girato, pollo, grigliata mista etc. Mi sono buttata su una tagliata di Angus Uruguay grass fed (cioè esclusivamente cresciuto mangiando erba): un gusto pieno, deciso, per i veri amanti della carne, sentivo proprio il sego (grasso, l'equivalente bovina del lardo) della marezzatura sciolta, ed io che a casa cucino spesso con il sego l'ho molto apprezzato. Il vero peccato mortale l'ho compiuto io perché non l'ho finita... La porzione era bella generosa e purtroppo un paio di pezzetti li ho lasciati! Il mio compagno ha preso la tagliata di fassona piemontese (mi pare? Non me lo ricordo, ma era molto buona), che consiglio a chi preferisce un gusto della carne più delicato, accompagnata da patatine fritte fatte fresche da loro, tagliate tonde, belle croccanti. Prima abbiamo condiviso una tartare con tuorlo d'uovo fondente e cipolla caramellata, ammetto che non ho apprezzato molto la cipolla perché l'ho trovata troppo dolce, ma è anche vero che io non mangio dolci e potrei essere un tantino "schizzinosa" in merito. Anche il mio compagno l'ha trovata un po' dolcina. Il personale è estremamente cordiale, Maria è una forza, scambiateci due chiacchiere se avete la possibilità (ovvero se non intoppate il servizio così facendo eh!) perché è davvero un valore aggiunto. Come detto all'inizio, il problema di questo locale (che ricordiamo essere anche una macelleria, quel bancone mi faceva venire l'acquolina in bocca, avrei comprato tutto!!!) è che non ce l'ho accanto a casa... per il mio conto corrente sicuramente è una salvezza invece, perché sennò sarei sempre lì a spendere!

14/06/2025: We had a great time! Tartare and Chianina steak that melted in your mouth, combined with the kindness of the owners, completed an excellent evening. I recommend it for the variety of meats and wines (but not only, the menu is rich) and for the possibility of choosing directly from the butcher's counter what and how much to eat. Thanks for the great evening.

07/09/2025: After exiting the highway, we looked for a restaurant and arrived at Bernasconi. We had our dog with us and couldn't go in, but there were tables outside. A young waiter quickly set the table for us and began serving us just as quickly—well done. We ordered two first courses and a second course, which completely met our expectations with authentic dishes prepared with excellent home cooking in terms of quality, flavor, and digestibility. Recommended.

06/09/2025: The ravioli were remarkable, as were the wild boar with herbs and the ricotta, chocolate, and rum cake. Welcoming and friendly, we felt right at home. Excellent value. A special thanks to Yuma's "mama" :-)

15/08/2025: A very nice restaurant with a large selection of meats and desserts, open all day. Dinner for 5 with wine, appetizers, and desserts costs 177 euros. The only downside is the high cost of 7.5 euros per person.

23/07/2025: An intimate restaurant on the hills along the Setteponti. Ideal for intimate dinners or a quiet setting. Not suitable for children, so there's no point complaining about the wait or the unsuitable dishes. Prices are not cheap, ranging from €14 for an appetizer to €20-25 for a main course.

29/08/2025: When you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and seek a genuine place in Chianti, this is the place to be. It's a good place to be. Here, the focus is on substance: the cuisine is our own, well-crafted, with dishes that taste of Tuscany and portions that won't leave you hungry. The meat is remarkable, and everything is served with love. The girls serving are quick, kind, and professional, making you feel at home. The atmosphere is old-fashioned, one of those osterias that warm your soul. A place I love from top to bottom, enough to return with my eyes closed.

25/08/2025: A little gem in Chianti. Excellent and plentiful food, cooked and served with love. The staff are welcoming, kind, and professional. Excellent wine and a fairytale location. The parking lot is a bit small, but that's a small matter. Bravo, and thank you for everything.

20/08/2025: Beautiful place, staff was very nice. When comparing the food to other food I've had in Italy, my opinion is it was good....not great...but good. Loved the grilled vegetables. Little things made it not great but nothing worth actually writing about. I would go back and also recommend it if in the area. Excellent dough.

29/07/2025: We were passing through Scarlino. Among the narrow streets of the village, this little osteria intrigued us. The owner, David, was incredibly kind and seated us even though it was only 10 minutes before opening. Once inside, we felt right at home. Since he runs the restaurant and his mother runs the kitchen, the menu is limited, and rightly so. The meat is excellent. The local wines are also very good, and you can even buy them directly there. In short, a highly recommended place; everything is perfect. We need more places like this!

24/07/2025: Tranquillità, cortesia, ambiente intimo e ottimo cibo. Il menù non ti fa perdere la testa ma è bene così, pochi piatti ma fatti come dio comanda secondo tradizione locale e gustosissimi. dall'antipasto, ai tortelli, al secondo. Bene il servizio, ottima la...cantina un pò su con i prezzi, questo si. dipende anche da che vino scegli e da quanto mangi. Da replicare.

02/09/2025: We went there at the end of our stay in the region, and we received a warm and friendly welcome (I only speak a few words of Italian, and no better in English). And I must say that we regretted not having gone there sooner, because that would have allowed us to return. The ravioli with ragu as a starter and the sliced ​​beef with Parmesan on top were a real treat. And the wine, even in a bottle, was pleasant to drink. 19/08/2025: I visited Burro y Achuga in Florence and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The service was unbeatable: the waitresses are super friendly, attentive, and make you feel at home. Mr. Alberto also served us with extreme kindness, always attentive to every detail. The food is spectacular, both in flavor and presentation. You can clearly see the quality of the ingredients and the care put into each dish. The portions are also generous, and the prices are very good for the quality and quantity. In short, a highly recommended place to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine with warm and friendly service. I would definitely return!

11/08/2025: After doing some research this place came up on a few lists and was pretty highly recommended. We were not disappointed to say the least. We had such a great meal here. Seafood was fresh and food quality was superb! After having spent a few nights in Florence we had had enough of the regular fare one might find in the more central touristy areas. I mean there is just so much Bistecca alla Florentine and Pappardelle Ragu one can have. So we were ready for a change. We highly recommend the pastas and the fried squid starter. The creamed cod on the other hand while pretty good was not as good when compared to the other dishes. Service was great and our waitress spoke perfect English and was very helpful in helping us choose our dishes. We will definitely be back to have another meal here should we find ourselves in Florence again. As my partner is pregnant, we would definitely want to try some of the raw selection and dishes that feature raw food the next time around.
