04/01/2026: Wonderful experience! I've never had a better Florentine steak. Frankly, the price was even too low for the quality of the food we ate. I HIGHLY recommend it!

30/12/2025: We chose this restaurant on a beautiful Sunday in November, inspired by the numerous positive reviews, and I must say we were completely satisfied! We sat in the second room, more modern and welcoming than the entrance, and immediately appreciated the elegant yet unpretentious atmosphere and the kindness of the staff. Pappardelle with wild boar ragù, fried porcini mushrooms, a delicious roasted porcini mushroom cap, and the inevitable steak! A good red wine accompanied it, and a cream-filled millefeuille for dessert. What can I say... it was an absolutely satisfying lunch. We waited a bit for the meat, probably because the place was crowded, but it was absolutely worth it: quality produce, cooked properly, and beautifully presented... Excellent! The pappardelle with wild boar thrilled the kids, and the mushrooms were the icing on the cake of a lunch that simply leaves you wanting more. Considering the quality of the product, the bill seemed fair for what we ordered. Parking might be a bit difficult along the road that runs through this small corner of Nievole; I'd recommend arriving 10 minutes before rush hour. Otherwise, "Il Pellegrino" keeps all its promises and offers customers a totally positive experience! Top marks!

27/10/2025: This place is truly wonderful, I was there for lunch and I was happy and satisfied with every aspect, the view is spectacular, the food was delicious 10/10 I complimented the chef, my partner tried the suckling pig and was really impressed he said he had never eaten it so good before, I had the beef fillet with truffle, the quality was excellent, I also appreciated the service, they were very kind and fast, I highly recommend this place it does not disappoint expectations.... we will definitely be back!!!!!!

19/02/2026: Top 5 meal of my life, and the rest of my group might rank it even higher. The food was 10/10, but it was the atmosphere that elevated the night to something we still talk about 2yrs later. We visited a number of vineyards, but it’s the €10 bottle of house red (signed by the staff) that now sits on our mantle at home.

18/02/2026: It changed owners a few years ago (grazie mille, Signora Maria e figlie!!) and, of course, the food also changed. But the current owner only added his personal touch, nothing more than that – because the quality and flavor remain impeccable. The atmosphere remains incredible, the pasta is the same, and the caramel cheesecake is, at the very least, curious: it's worth trying. Special mention for the exceptional service: even arriving for dinner at a time of low traffic (which can be an advantage), it was easy to see that the waiter not only has the training and practice to serve; in fact, he has the gift of serving well, as he was polite and kind, a gesture that has been somewhat difficult to find among Florentines lately. The same goes for the owner: he made a point of saying goodbye and chatting with us for a while. Don't be fooled by the location: even though it's close to tourist attractions (it's very close to Piazza della Signoria and Palazzo Vecchio), it's not a "tourist trap" at all; quite the opposite. It's not exactly a cheap place, but the cost/benefit ratio is more than worth it!

15/03/2026: Everything was perfetlct at the restaurant from the Service to the food. But, what really standed out was the Pizza: the best I had in Italy!

21/02/2026: Discovered this place by chance during a visit to Viareggio. It's a shame we live far away and can't return. Excellent food, from appetizer to dessert. We had tordelli with ragù and ravioli with fondue and truffle shavings. For main courses, we had ribs, beef fillet, and sliced ​​beef with fondue. The meat was tender and flavorful. The service was exceptional, with perfect customer service. In total, for four first courses, four second courses, four desserts, two appetizers, wine, and water, we spent €300. Excellent price for the quality and quantity.

14/01/2026: As soon as you enter this local restaurant, you can tell everything is going to be freshly cooked and home made. A small team of two or three women in the kitchen preparing local dishes like pici (with a great local pesto recipe) and crostini with toppings that melt in your mouth. And not expensive. Don't miss it if you are in Sienna, you will pay half the price of eating in the main square and have a great local experience.

22/02/2026: We ordered a great fried fish and seafood takeout yesterday, Saturday, for lunch. The food deserves a 4 (which is still an excellent score), but I want to give an extra point (and a special mention) for the courtesy and service. Besides having noticed it on site, in the takeout bag we found napkins, cutlery, lemon-scented hand wipes, and a 0.5-liter bottle of still water with two glasses (which we hadn't requested). It truly seemed like an unprecedented gesture of courtesy and thoughtfulness for a customer who didn't consume on-site, and therefore often served in a secondary capacity. Thank you, you deserved the review.

13/11/2025: A pleasant discovery! I'd heard about this place and finally decided to try it, piqued by curiosity. Small but very welcoming, where you can relax and read a book! I tried a very good and unique poke. Fast service and affordable prices. It's a shame the bistro is a bit hidden, but I'd definitely go back!

12/11/2025: Special place: a bar and a bookshop, specializing in children's books, with a room for courses and meetings... To visit and return! Now there are access problems due to road reconstruction, but the uniqueness of the place is in the second entrance. Perhaps less comfortable but incredibly fascinating. Visiting the restaurant remains a priority if you pass through these parts. A plus is the service: the friendliness and affability of the owner are a plus that transforms every visit into an enchanting adventure. Update: road and access finally fixed, it is confirmed as a true oasis for a restaurant for the soul and... also the stomach... highly recommended.

24/02/2026: The Maremma ravioli and wine were good. The other dishes were nothing special. We should have avoided the simple stuffed zucchini for €16.

29/12/2025: I've been to this restaurant with my family, it was quite small and very crowded, the food is good and the portions are generous and the price is fair, the only downsides are the smell of fried food that can be felt on your clothes and a waitress who wasn't exactly polite, but overall it was a pleasant experience.

23/12/2025: Excellent place, I can say it's the best place if you want to eat something fish-based, excellent quality/price ratio, the dishes are good and plentiful, not much to say, the only flaw is that the place is a bit small and when it's full you're too close to other people.
