11/12/2025: I was with two friends and a friend for the first time at this wonderful place, which we found by chance on Google. We were delighted to discover a delightful, welcoming, and beautifully lit atmosphere. All the Christmas decorations were beautiful and tasteful, especially a large tree that occupied a prominent, yet central, spot in the space reserved for the tables. Otherwise, they would have left us a table, so it was a commendable choice! A word or two about the staff: Daniele was extremely kind, professional, and friendly, as were his colleagues. They were all very helpful, even when we had some difficulties with the wifi connection, and were very helpful with honest advice on the menu. We'll definitely be back soon! Thanks guys 💪🥂🍀🫶🔝

07/12/2025: I haven't been back in years, but I must say the offerings have remained the same: a mix of the owner's kindness, a welcoming location, and good value. A perfect place for both romantic dinners and evenings with friends; it's located in an old building, which still features a well inside. The gastronomic offerings are extremely varied, satisfying all palates; the same goes for the food, from beers to wines. The dishes are generous, a rare thing these days, but much appreciated. The reservation system is very helpful and very smart. I'll be back more often.

19/02/2026: A very warm welcome. We ordered wine, appetizers, and pizzas. Everything was delicious, the pizzas were made right in front of us. The waitress speaks good English, and everyone was very friendly. Highly recommended.

10/02/2026: Everything was absolutely delicious. The appetizer was a dream, and the pizza was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. I highly recommend trying the tiramisu — it’s the best I’ve ever eaten. The only small thing I would change is the lighting; a bit dimmer would make the atmosphere feel more romantic.

06/11/2025: We came here because it was recommended in the Lonely Planet guide, but when we arrived it was closed – even though Google clearly shows it as open. Please update your opening hours so we don't make a wasted trip, thank you 🙏 Update: The opening hours aren't updated in real time, it's true, but they are updated quickly if you request it, probably within 24 hours. It would be even faster to do this than to reply to comments :)

22/02/2026: Good food, confusing service. They omitted the tagliata included in the set menu. The service was really rushed; they cleared away the plates without asking if I'd finished.

15/02/2026: The elegant and welcoming setting immediately captivated me and made me feel at ease. The friendly and approachable staff guided us through the daily à la carte menu and the selection of local wines. Everything was delicious and locally sourced, as can be seen from the carefully plated appetizers, all reminiscent of excellent traditional Apulian cuisine. Savoring the treasures of the region in a rustic setting that perfectly suits the setting is, I think, one of the things this place can boast about. I'll gladly return very soon.

05/03/2026: I went for dinner during the week with friends and it was a wonderful surprise. The service was truly attentive, present but never intrusive. There's a truly peaceful atmosphere, allowing you to enjoy the evening without rushing. At the end of the dinner, we chatted with Stefano, who also took us to see the wine cellar: a place worth a visit, with an impressive selection of wines. It was more than just a dinner, it was a complete experience. We'll be back soon.

05/03/2026: We hadn't made a reservation for dinner at Botteghe Antiche, so a spot on the square wasn't an option. Inside, there was still room, and we had a view of the kitchen, which is always a nice sight. The dishes were delicious. We found the atmosphere a bit lacking; the service was friendly, but a bit distant.

28/02/2026: The owner of the Butcher's Counter is extremely professional, the entire staff is professional, courteous, and kind. The grilled meat is excellent... An explosion of flavors... We'll gladly return.

17/01/2026: One of the best gelatos I've ever had. Extremely creamy and delicious! The staff is friendly and helpful. When I return to Polignano, I'll definitely return to this gelato shop. I highly recommend it, you won't regret it. Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!!

08/01/2026: Fantastic experience at Gelateria Caruso! The staff was incredibly kind, courteous, and friendly, and even let us taste all the flavors before choosing. The gelato was absolutely delicious—highly recommended! The crepes were also excellent, with so many flavors available. Absolutely not to be missed!

01/12/2025: The highlight of this place is the good coffee; those are the only two things going for it. The service is terrible; they make the wrong orders even when there aren't many customers, and they repeatedly come to the table for no reason, interrupting other diners. They also force customers to write Google reviews with them to get 5 stars, under the pretext of entering a contest.
