Trattoria L'elfo In Bari

We stopped by chance while visiting the center of Bari: a family welcome, typical local dishes with top-quality ingredients, prepared the way our grandmothers used to teach, with fabulous results. We tried various dishes, all delicious: an absolute must-see! Thank you so much, and see you soon!

I had orecchiette de bresciola and it was so delicious 🤤 paired with red wine and I didn’t miss out on their tiramisu. My heart was full 🥰 Also the location and service was incredible 😍

Excellent experience, we were a group of 9 friends, they welcomed us even without having booked (Mario, a gentleman who sold drinks near the seafront, took us) and delighted us 😋 Everything was excellent: rice, potatoes and mussels were delicious, mixed fried fish tender and light, exceptional octopus. I recommend you go there and experience the taste of good flavours for yourself 👍🔝🔝🔝

We were in Bari for four days and unfortunately we only found this restaurant on the last night. When we arrived the restaurant was full but they provided a table, we asked for drinks and then someone at a neighboring table lit an extremely smelly cigar, all the smoke that came to our table, then we asked the waiter if there was another table and he said that the place was full but luckily they had just left a table and the owner immediately said that we could sit down and apologized but we said that it was not his fault. The service is fantastic!! We ate in at least two restaurants every day but here they were the most normal and friendly, they asked us several times when we sat down if everything was okay. I am not a big pasta person but the crab gorgonzola was very delicious, the white wine was also very light and fruity. We received many smiles from the staff, this is not the norm unfortunately we see in other restaurants here.

The food is delicious. The service is also adequate.

From my point of view, overrated. Maybe because I like to leave tips, not have them included in the price (I knew, it was displayed).

A stunning place in one of the alleys of Barivecchia. Excellent and plentiful food, professional staff, and Antonello, the owner, is incredibly friendly. I recommend it to everyone and will be back.

Authentic, traditional Bari cuisine amidst the alleys of Barivecchia, fantastic staff! Excellent quality products, highly recommended. We'll be back again and again! 😍
