25/12/2025: Terrible experience never again

25/12/2025: "It's just a matter of opinion," I was told at the end of Christmas lunch, which featured a meat-based entree that had been requested to be changed weeks earlier. The request had been met over the phone with a "yes, it's fine," and during lunch, they were informed of the change again without anyone batting an eyelid. By the time the meat entree was served, this information must have been forgotten, because only after a reminder (a good 15 minutes had passed since the meat entree was served) were we informed that the kitchen was preparing a plate of orecchiette with cherry tomatoes, arugula, and ricotta cheese. A plate of orecchiette with tomato sauce from the children's menu arrived, sprinkled with ricotta cheese and a basil leaf. When we mentioned this at the register, we were told they weren't actually obligated to make changes to the menu, which I should have been told over the phone when I asked if it was possible, not at checkout. At which point, the person at the register insisted on telling me it was just a matter of opinion and that they would bring us a tomato-based pasta anyway. In the end, the menus were paid for in full because they did bring something to the table. The problem is that, at the turn of 2026, it's ridiculous not to be able to provide a meatless option for a first course. In any case, the problem wouldn't have arisen if it hadn't been for the phone call; these are, after all, "opinions."

13/12/2025: The place is very welcoming, clean, the staff are friendly, and the service is fast. A pleasant place to spend a quiet evening, but... Tagliolini with scampi had something special about it, a not-so-pleasant flavor, definitely due to the fish not being particularly fresh. It didn't smell good or taste good. The roasted octopus was good but tough. The baked potatoes were good. The sorbet was unimaginable, basically just ice chips. It's definitely a good place for pizza (though I haven't tried it), but otherwise, it's not up to par.

08/11/2025: Unfortunately, I ordered a gluten-free pizza, happy to finally have found a pizzeria that made it. Instead, I ended up with a frozen pizza base with added toppings. A real disappointment! Absolutely avoid it.

28/09/2025: A charming place, a seaside restaurant, extremely elegant and high-end. We had two appetizers, two main courses, and a shared dessert, plus two glasses of wine. The two appetizers we chose were gurnard carpaccio with citrus extract and roasted mackerel with zucchini scapece. The two main courses were stuffed squid and cardoncelli mushroom "absolute," which is mushrooms in three textures. Finally, a "chamomile meadow." Everything was delicious, everything was undoubtedly prepared with dedication and passion. Everything was beautiful. However, nowadays it's really hard to find places that prioritize the quality of the product, but rather put it on the surface. The dishes we tried were basically "poor"—we're talking zucchini, mackerel, cardoncelli mushrooms; perhaps the most expensive was the cuttlefish. I paid 50 euros for each of these items, which isn't worth the product itself, but rather its preparation and everything that goes into a restaurant of this caliber. But, excuse the cruelty, I don't have to pay for this. I want to pay for the dish, and we're not talking about an expensive dish, because they didn't offer me white truffle on the menu. When I talk about appearance, I'm also talking about the initial show cooking, which was nice, yes, but customer service is another story. The service, if anything, needs improvement: I have the freedom to choose the wine by the glass, and if the sommelier wants to recommend it, he should open the bottle in front of my table, or at least keep it vacuum-packed. And I can accept a mistake like that in average restaurants, but not here, where, I repeat, the bill wasn't so "sweet."

15/03/2026: I want to review this beautiful restaurant in Putignano, located in the heart of the historic center of this city, famous for its Carnival. The owner is extremely friendly, helpful, and kind, as are all the staff, always attentive to the needs of their guests. The restaurant is meticulously designed and truly welcoming. The food is the icing on the cake: the orecchiette with turnip tops, enriched with a sprinkling of farinella, perfectly represents Putignano's culinary tradition, while the diaphragm steak is simply superb. An experience you absolutely must try!

27/01/2026: This restaurant near the station is a wonderful find. Everything is delicious, top-quality, fresh fish, unusual combinations of ingredients, and beautifully presented dishes. The place is cozy, with a quiet atmosphere, pleasant background music, and friendly staff. The prices are average for the quality and service offered. I'll definitely be back!!

10/01/2026: The best pizza in Corato by far. Zorba's pizza is undoubtedly an institution for our family. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Mr. Biagio, with his golden hands, Walter, with his reassuring smile, Cinzia, with her easy-going manner, and Roberta, with her unique professionalism, form a winning team, but above all, a team that makes you feel at home.

Sei nel posto giusto se vuoi soddisfare il desiderio di assaporare piatti a base di pesce, il tutto pasteggiato da ottimo vino. Squisitezza e cortesia da parte della simpatica proprietaria. Servizio celere grazie alla professionalità di Marco e Marianna, che si muovono tra i commensali con il loro sorriso contagioso, gentilezza e simpatia. Vi consiglio vivamente di lasciarvi tentare da questa graziosa location.

05/03/2026: Excellent food, but a €15 sandwich without chips on the plate is unacceptable. The bill was steep at the end, since I had €6 worth of chips on the side, and I ended up spending €25 with water. Otherwise, I recommend it.

14/03/2026: We had lunch as a couple on a Sunday in February at this trattoria-style restaurant. We tried appetizers with parmigiana, fried artichokes, stewed turnips, panzerotti; a first course of rice, potatoes, and mussels; orecchiette with braciola al sugo; and a second course of mixed fried seafood and roasted sea bream. This restaurant doesn't have menus with prices displayed. We returned and found that the final bill was unclear. Overall, the food was well prepared.

21/09/2025: In addition to the classic grilled meat, excellently cut and finished, which even the children loved, we also enjoyed the excellent mutton stewed in a traditional terracotta dish. It was fragrant and spicy just right, so tender it was perfect for eating with your hands. The house Primitivo was excellent. The staff was helpful and courteous. Highly recommended.

03/11/2025: We ate arepas with egg, a delicacy in southern Italy where it's hard to find anything other than pasta and bread. It reminded us of home and gave us the energy to continue exploring the country.
