11/08/2024: Nice and intimate atmosphere, kind staff and what dishes! Everything cooked to perfection! The tiramisu is highly recommended, one of the best I have ever eaten

30/07/2024: On Monday evening, passing through via Camilla Rosalba, we had dinner with our inseparable golden retriever, in this beautiful bistro, intrigued by the spaghetti all'assassina (a poor dish from Bari cuisine) that we had never eaten... We therefore don't have a yardstick to decide which are the best, as these are the first ones we tasted, but we liked them straight away. Very well seasoned, not excessively spicy, with the nice burnt part! We also tasted the appetizer of bites from Bari, composed of small fried popizze and squares of black polenta, made with burnt wheat and charcoal. Served hot, very good and special... Prices are not high. The place is also frequented by foreigners, the owner is dog friendly and the two young waiters are very polite. To be recommended!

20/08/2024: Well furnished and very characteristic restaurant. Very good food. It boasts a spectacular location, which gives more value to everything. Friendly, attentive and very precise staff. The director (a gentleman with blue eyes) cheerfully kept us company throughout the evening, guiding us through our dinner with kindness, affability and elegance. Price a little high, but for the location it's ok!

19/08/2024: Wonderful restaurant, on a one-of-a-kind terrace overlooking the beach of Polignano a Mare for a unique view. Very good food, unique dishes both visually and tastefully. Excellent service, neither too formal nor too informal, with a joke every now and then and serenity.

20/08/2024: What can I say... A wonderful experience! I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time and it didn't disappoint my expectations! The location is sublime, perfect for a romantic dinner at sunset, every little detail is taken care of, the service is of the highest level and the dishes are well thought out and well presented. The bill is high, but for an important occasion it's worth it. Must try!

02/09/2024: We celebrated our son's baptism yesterday. We were welcomed in a super manner by the dining room manager Francesco, who was always available to listen to the diners' requests. The guys (waiters) Alessandro, Domenico, Andrea are always available to refresh fresh drinks and provide extraordinary service. Piero the chef made us taste some really good dishes. Unfortunately I don't have any photos, but the appetizer, the very fresh raw seafood, the seafood risotto and all the other dishes were tasty and plentiful. Piero's wife who ran the bar area was friendly and helpful. We had an excellent quality/price ratio. We will definitely be back even just to taste a pizza or other dishes from their fantastic menu. Thank you very much to all the Calamaré staff ❤️❤️❤️❤️

18/08/2024: Overall, we had a good experience with friendly service. The food was enjoyable, though not particularly remarkable. The appetizer featuring different intensity olive oils was a standout and a really unique experience. The pasta with truffle was super tasty and even came with a small piece of real truffle, which was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the cod and lamb chops fell a bit flat. The wine suggestion was a great match with our meal. The location is convenient, and the restaurant itself is cute. Just a tip—try to avoid sitting outside if you can, it gets really warm out there!

17/08/2024: The service is particularly jerky, they urged us to order food, when they brought out the drinks they didn't even distribute them, they just put them in the middle of the table, this is interesting for the service fee of 3 euros per person. The pasta was delicious in the end, but it was a very small portion and anyone could make it for themselves.

15/08/2024: We ordered the orecchiette with turnip greens, they tasted of nothing. When the waiter was informed, he replied that it was a cream of turnip tops. With due respect, it is not possible to serve a tasteless dish.

21/07/2024: Absolutely terrible experience: we booked a table for dinner and arrived right on time in front of the restaurant. We immediately noticed the difficulties of the service, noting that the square was full of tables, a very long queue at the entrance and two/three waiters who were broken down and moved around disoriented without giving us any information about our table. After about an hour of waiting they finally made us sit at a table in the back of the room, or rather I would say they parked us in the back of the room, forgotten by the entire service and after various insistence about two hours after our arrival they took the lead. Everything finally seemed to be sorted out but after a few minutes the waiter returns saying that the pizzas would require even more waiting time and that he himself would not be able to quantify. In anger we begged to tear up the order and bring anything as long as it was done quickly. An experience to forget: arrival at 9.30pm, orders taken at 11.20pm, first courses arrived at 11.45pm, all this with my wife in the ninth month of pregnancy gripped by anger and tiredness. The summer location on the small square is beautiful but if the waiters and kitchen are not up to guaranteeing the service there is no need to fill it with many tables: better few and well served

01/07/2024: It is one of my favorite places, chosen several times for lunches and dinners and events. The restaurant overlooks the belvedere which alone is worth a visit to Poggiorsini. Good service and management of the place. Really good food, well served and of good quality. Excellent prices, very honest.

19/08/2024: So nice environment on the seafront, super clean inside and nice place. Then you eat well, tasty fish at a good price. It costs around 10 euros for a poke and fish morsels around 5-6 euros, but it's worth it. The only flaw is that you have to go inside to book and get the fish yourself, but even if you don't have table service it's fine anyway.

23/08/2024: We stayed in Bari for 7 days. We went to Caffè Italiano I believe about 4 times. The food is great, the people are very kind, they are always smiling. The place is pleasant and cool. We highly recommend it!!

22/08/2024: Cozy place, excellent location for birthdays, business or romantic dinners. Ideal for spending an evening during the hot summer or winter season. Excellent for seafood and spectacular fried snapper. Highly qualified staff.
