Don't go there... otherwise I won't find a place and you know what I'll do to you, right?!?!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

01/08/2025: I stopped for lunch on a road trip: I was welcomed by the owner in an intimate and refined setting. After perusing the menu, I noticed the medium/high prices, which I'm okay with, but considering the culinary quality of the area, I didn't find the food exceptional enough to fully justify them. I'll be honest and tell you that everything was good, but it just lacked that little something extra. The thing that bothered me most, however, was that when it came time to pay, the owner—who I assume made a mistake—charged me about ten euros more than I should have, adding up the menu prices, without a proper itemized bill. For a lunch costing nearly €50 (appetizer, first course, coffee, water, and a glass) that seems like a hefty sum. I paid absentmindedly. At the door, I realized what was odd and wanted to ask for an explanation, but I wasn't allowed to do so because the owner closed the door behind me and pulled down the shutter with Olympic speed. I was the last customer. I could have even knocked on the shutter, I didn't, but if I pass by that area I certainly won't come back.

17/05/2025: Locale semplice e pulito in un piccolo paesino della valle; camerieri gentili e disponibili, soprattutto i padroni di casa, particolarmente attenti e simpatici! Ma la vera protagonista del locale è la carne (senza nulla togliere alla pizza) cotta nel forno, molto lentamente…mi rendo conto che i tempi di attesa per una bistecca siano un po’ più lunghi, ma dietro non c’è una disorganizzazione del personale , semplicemente una scelta studiata, per offrire al cliente una carne di qualità, cotta al punto giusto, ma soprattutto calda al cuore se piace al sangue come piace a me. Graditissime le due salse proposte, per condire la carne, ma che spalmate sul pane sono super golose ed il tagliere di ben venuto per rompere l’attesa. Ottimi anche i dolci, rigorosamente homemade. Bravissimo Alessandro e tutto il suo staff!

19/07/2025: The restaurant is decorated in a vintage style. The table setting is very beautiful and well-presented, even including a dessert fork. Service is average. The appetizers were good, although there wasn't much jam. The first courses were very interesting; it's a shame the ravioli didn't taste very good. The tiramisu cheesecake was good. The appetizers were a bit pricey, but the first courses were more than reasonable. A very positive note: we didn't pay a cover charge.

09/06/2025: Passing through for a weekend we were looking for a simple place but where we could eat traditional dishes well. Real trattoria atmosphere and welcoming. Excellent simple and homely cuisine, not too extensive menu (which I consider a plus point) but everything of excellent quality. Good pizzas too. Absolutely recommended.

For those who want Piedmontese-style boiled meat with bagnet sauce or a good plate of spaghetti, this is the place to be. There's no à la carte menu; you eat what's available. It's definitely a place to visit often.

19/06/2025: Il jolly... e' perfetto! Il giusto stile ottima cucina tipica porzioni ragionevoli e rapporto qualità prezzo ottima!!! Io parto da Varese almeno 1 volta l'anno x andarci...poi li vicino mi fermo in cantina "Ca bensì",da Federico Robbiani e compro dell' ottimo vino!

21/07/2025: Che dire, il nostro ristorante ideale della domenica, senza troppi fronzoli ma che bada soprattutto al sodo (la cucina). Abbiamo trovato questo storico ristorante, perso fra le colline del Monferrato casalese ed è stato una piacevole sorpresa. C'è il menu fisso (cosa che io preferisco) ma volendo anche la carta. Si parte dai classici antipasti monferrini (molto apprezzato che la signora passi a chiederti sempre il bis), semplici ma buonissimi (cito la carne cruda di fassona, la frittatina al gorgonzola, le melanzane,...) poi la scelta tra uno dei due primi e uno dei due secondi. In realtà, alla fine, siamo riusciti ad assaggiare tutto: agnolotti al ragu bianco e risotto alle mele, trippa in umido e tagliata (eccezionali) , perché la signora passa a chiedere se si vuole un assaggio (generosissimo) anche di ciò che non si è scelto, stessa cosa per i dolci (alla fine abbiamo assaggiato anche il bonet). Una considerazione sulla lamentela che ho letto relativa al servizio "troppo veloce"; personalmente non sopporto quei posti dove ti siedi alle 13.00 e ti alzi alle 17.00, con tempi biblici tra una portata e l'altra. Va bene parlare, ma lo si può fare anche mangiando, quindi, per me, qui allo sciapa pum, la sequenza e i tempi delle portate sono stati perfetti! Infine, il vino scelto (della zona) era ottimo e i prezzi decisamente onesti. Quindi, anche se veniamo da un po' lontano, ci torneremo sicuramente.

29/06/2025: Da tempo frequentiamo questo ristorante e vorremmo farlo più spesso perché è sempre inappuntabile sia per la qualità della cucina sia per la cordialità della padrona di casa che porta avanti una tradizione di famiglia iniziata tanto tempo fa.

20/07/2025: A little find in the center of Novi Ligure on Via Roma. On a street where most of the shops have closed, I found such a beautiful little place, well-maintained, with great attention to detail. I love the interior, but the garden behind is also a true gem. I will definitely be back. The prices are quite high, but for a place like this, you're happy to spend them. I highly recommend it.

23/06/2025: Sono stato tante volte volte al Banco con soddisfazione per la farinata quindi ero felice di provare una cena informale estiva all'aperto nel dehor. Ore 20 ci sediamo con prenotazione. Camerieri giovani gentili ma molto impacciati e confusi. Sedie scomodissime un tavolo rotondo per due dove non ci stanno nemmeno i piatti e i bicchieri. Ordiamo due calici di vino una battuta di fassona servita con insalata e un antipasto ligure. La battuta è discreta nella norma l'insalata scondita e non c'è olio né aceto né sale sul tavolo ma delle buste per condire di qualità infima. L'antipasto ligure è deludente tocchetti freddi di panissa non fritta con fagioli di scatola il tutto scondito immangiabili 4 acciughe ridicole tirate fuori dal vasetto e stop insalata di stoccafisso e patate scondita di sapore non buono come fosse avanzo di frigo una fetta di cima discreta senza infamia e senza lode con un cucchiaio di bagnetto verde. Io quando ho appetito mangio tutto lo stesso però era da rimandare al mittente. Così anche il cliente fedele non ritorna.
