19/04/2026: A trattoria from another era, even for the price....€30 tasting menu. Excellent food and a family atmosphere.

04/04/2026: If you are "picky" about service, location or other things like that, don't go there. This is an ancient place, with ancient courtesy and kindness, with a welcome that belongs to a world that no longer exists. The food is excellent and if you go on a Sunday you will experience a typical Piedmontese lunch. For me and my wife it is a place of the heart, where we like to "take refuge" every now and then, escaping from the city to rediscover a post-war atmosphere that has miraculously survived the intemperance of time that passes and modernity that takes everything away.

23/04/2026: We had a family lunch at Easter. Excellent food and excellent service; despite the packed dining room, the waiters were attentive and provided prompt service. Compliments for the establishment, located in an exceptional location. The owners are very kind and the staff are lovely.

05/01/2026: Four stars for the service, but the only issue is the bread issue. When you ask for a second round, they bring you a different loaf of bread than the first, of inferior quality. Otherwise, we had a truly lovely dinner. The place is intimate and welcoming, the food is very good, and you can sample typical local dishes. I also recommend it for its location, practically in the city center, ideal for a stroll afterward!

03/05/2026: We booked at the last minute, and the staff greeted us with a smile and kindness. The food was excellent, tasty, and plentiful. The service was impeccable; they stopped by to check if everything was okay, and even went overboard. When I asked for grated cheese for a delicious pasta and potatoes dish, the very kind waiter grated Parmesan cheese over the pasta. It wasn't his duty, but he was kind enough to do it himself. The atmosphere was welcoming, the table set in a tavern style, with a checked tablecloth and small wine glasses. The music was catchy, but the volume was high enough to keep the guests chatting without difficulty. RECOMMENDED!!! YOU MUST TRY THE PIZZA

28/02/2026: Chef Alessandro Zanotto's family history is a manifesto of Monferrato. Today, his 23-year-old grandson has already designed the winery you're visiting, and he cooks with the energy and cultural clarity of his home, having gained significant experience at the Mudec in Milan, one of Italy's international cultural centers. Lower Monferrato. Varengo, a hamlet of Gabiano. Hillside. A rare example of "family style and culture" that knows how to create refined cuisine. Perfect portions. A small wine cellar, but a place for meditation and a delight for the senses. The restaurant is by reservation only—or rather, "reservation"—and offers a highly personalized menu based on guest requests. The menu changes every three months. Refined local ingredients are used, including meat. Whipped maple butter, homemade bread, pretzels, spreadable gorgonzola, and the boiled meats with green sauce in a Chinese ravioli set us on a path to dinner. Innovative appetizers, and the first course, a beetroot and gorgonzola risotto, with rare flavor and balance. The second course's tender and flavorful diaphragm cooked on a silken potato. A genuine, artisanal, unfiltered Grignolino. A Catalan cream with a surprising flavor and color.

11/11/2025: A place where you always feel at home, a location with a beautiful view and excellent food, especially since they produce everything themselves. A noteworthy set menu. Also excellent outdoors in the summer.

14/03/2026: A lovely discovery on the outskirts of Casale's city center! A fairly spacious place with two dining rooms, very friendly staff, fresh and well-cooked food (the burger is amazing!), and reasonable prices. The underground cellar (infernot) is also beautiful, a must-see!

12/04/2026: A great find! The owners are friendly and approachable, yet very professional. We ordered three takeout pizzas, and they were delicious, with a light dough and quality ingredients. We'll see you again very soon! Highly recommended!

28/12/2025: A perfect location for an aperitivo, whether for a romantic dinner or a romantic dinner with friends or family. Good background music in a relaxing atmosphere, and a decent menu with several tempting options. By food, I mean drinks; since we didn't have much time, we limited ourselves to the cocktails, which were balanced and aromatic. The only 3 stars are for the quantity of chips and taralli (both delicious). We'll be back to complete our review. Prices are reasonable, and the bartender is very friendly and helpful.

05/06/2026: We went there tonight and got two pizzas, one gluten-free for me, since I'm celiac, and a regular one for my husband. Both were delicious, mine was thinner than other pizzerias, and finally, it wasn't toasty. They also make gluten-free farinata and desserts. I recommend you go, we had a great time. 😁

11/06/2026: As always, a guarantee: good and fresh seafood dishes, Marcello (the owner) welcoming and always smiling, Caterina (the chef) fantastic and also always friendly and smiling... 5 stars are not enough for the experience we had.
