10/06/2024: Rustic atmosphere, very friendly staff, simple and excellent traditional Trieste food

29/05/2024: Highly recommended for the fish and the friendliness - if I may allow myself a suggestion, the mixed grill of fish (very evident flavors and light seasoning, never intrusive) and the breaded sardines. The place is small (a room with about 30 seats), so it's best to book (especially on Saturdays). Unfortunately there are fewer and fewer places like this in Trieste.

03/08/2024: Without praise without infamy, the pizza is not bad even if it has undergone some upward price adjustments.

31/07/2024: Reviewed by a local - Angelina used to be an excellent trattoria but the quality of the food and service plummeted. The antipasto misto is still a valid and good-looking platter for 2 people, but that's about it. If you bave never had sea food before, or a sea food based pasta, then it will work out well for you. But if you are looking for something with more of a kick, you will be disappointed. Beside the antipasto, we ordered the shrimp salad with balsamic vinegard (an absolute scam of a plate), pasta allo scoglio and pasta al pesto. Whilst the portions were good, the dishes were bland, anonymous and overpriced. Kudos to the young waitress for the excellent service, whilst the manager made up pay also the salad we did not touch for how bad it was.

15/07/2024: Very welcoming Karst restaurant, with typical foods. Little variety but lots of quality. Fast service. I recommend the vegetable roll, particular and delicious.

03/07/2024: Friendly staff and correct prices. Good dishes with generous portions. Possibility of eating outdoors. Overall positive experience. Advised.

14/08/2024: Not great. Stale, overcooked langoustines (scampi). Tinned tuna in the salad. Pasta and pizza ok.

10/08/2024: Do not eat the veggie burger, it lacks taste and is not good. The other food we ordered was nice and service was good!

08/08/2024: Unfortunately we didn't eat here. We had to wait a long time because no one came to our table to bring us the menu. Finally I got them myself. After a while a waitress came and told us that the kitchen was closed (closed from 2 p.m., it was shortly after 2 p.m.). Very annoying and a real waste of time for us.

29/06/2024: Non-existent service, endless waiting, disproportionate price.

26/06/2024: Good dishes but a little small portions. Very long waiting times. When the dish seems to arrive, it turns out that only the first courses are served at the tables. For those who had chosen only one second, the wait continued for another 40 minutes. The bill is a little steep for a very simple tavern, given that for a starter, a first course, a second course, a liter of water and half a prosecco it costs €65. Be careful because there is no written menu so the bill is revealed only at the end.

08/08/2024: Gute, ehrliche Küche, nichts Außergewöhnliches, vernünftige Preise, leider ist das Personal etwas gestresst und recht lustlos, Trotzdem einen Besuch wert.

05/08/2024: Antipasto di verdura cotta... ghiacciato. Chiesto olio e sale e risposta della titolare.. ostile... "l'olio c'è già e sale ne mettiamo il giusto"... ma che saccenza😒 Spaghetti con vongole.. ma che roba... pasta (poca) bianchissima e scotta (precotta?) e un'abbondanza di vongoline.. chiuse..e ovviamente per poter guadagnare di più... un filino d'olio, un'ombra di prezzemolo e... andare! Insomma soldi buttati in quello che fino a tempo fa consideravo una buona trattoria. Un po' meno arroganza e un po' più di comunicazione da parte della titolare e della cameriera... renderebbero forse l'esperienza meno fastidiosa.

20/08/2024: we had a couple of starters: sardoni in savor, cozze, capesante gratinate and some house white. mussels came in a very salty sauce - the rest was fine. nice place overall, but make sure you check out some of the alternatives nearby.

19/08/2024: Sorry but I don't think it deserves more than 2 stars. Nothing to say about the staff who were quite quick, very kind and prepared, unfortunately however the price we paid for 2 slices of amberjack 2 appetizers 1 first course, €150 is truly excessive. I don't recommend stopping...

22/07/2024: This is a hidden gem. It is located at a place where you do not expect a restaurant. Yes, they serve a lot of horse meat. Aldo other meat. The staff was very friendly and I do recommend this place. Too bad they only serve white wine and red wine (besides beer and non alcoholic). But no different wines. Luckily I liked the red wine, but this is something to improve. And when I ordered the fileto steak I should have given the instruction to limit to 200g. 300 is really too much. But all and all, it was a good experience and I definitely recommend (unless someone is really offended by eating horse meat. I translated the menu into Dutch using Google so you get an idea. But of course this is potentially a bad translation!

09/08/2024: We stayed at the Briscac farm, it's already the second time and we enjoyed it very much... the staff is very nice and very helpful. We ate the mixed cold cuts (salami, raw ham, omelette, jota with sausage, sausage, potatoes and sauerkraut. There's the simple but good stuff. I recommend this place 100%. It's cheap, but just right for being in the Karst area.  (We paid €35) and ate; 1 liter of red wine. Cold cuts (ham and salami), bread The omelette, the jota and a trio: sauerkraut, sausage and potato, and 1 peaches in wine. Definitely coming back, booking of course.
