Quaint atmosphere, excellent hot chocolate and capo in B, friendly and attentive service. Seating isn't always available, but it's worth a try. Recommended!!

Antico Caffè Torinese is a beautiful public space where you can enjoy your morning coffee and read the newspapers while being served by friendly, relaxed, and welcoming people. What more could you ask for from a café in a tourist area? Nothing, just this. Splendid. Autumn 2025.

I've been missing Caffè Torinese for a long time, and I don't know why. It used to be my favorite bar, and I frequented it often, partly because I knew the old owners. Then, changing habits, I lost my way, until yesterday when I returned with my wife, and it was a happy reunion. The atmosphere hasn't changed much; it's still one of the most beautiful places in the city, maintaining its century-old history and elegant management. I must say, I felt like I'd never left that wonderful place, even though it was run by different people. Different, but extremely kind and competent. I'll definitely be back to enjoy the excellent aperitifs I adore, and to once again appreciate an atmosphere I've always loved, fortunately managed with kindness and professionalism.

20/04/2026: On Saturday evening, we had a truly fantastic evening in a comfortable, family-friendly atmosphere! The owners are both professional and very friendly! The fish ljublianka is highly recommended, and the tiramisu is a true delight... If you're in Trieste, you absolutely must stop by.
07/04/2026: Drawn by the chalkboards describing the dishes, we had an evening, and it was a great tasting experience. Meanwhile, the chef came to the tables and explained a bit about the dishes. The atmosphere, typical of a trattoria, was very friendly and put you at ease. The dishes, however, were those of a high-end restaurant, very well-presented and tasty. A lovely evening for the palate to celebrate an anniversary. Claudia's dessert was a fitting conclusion, truly well-executed and balanced. Thank you, I'll gladly recommend you.

09/04/2026: Great experience for lunch today 😊 Super fresh crab, just like the snapper we had for main course...simply sublime and impeccably cooked 👌💫 Very friendly and welcoming. We'll be back as soon as possible 😊✨️
14/03/2026: I had dinner with my husband at Massimo's and left the trattoria happy! Despite it being a distinctly rustic place, we ate incredibly fresh, impeccably cooked fish. Don't expect experimental cuisine, but it's definitely honest and respectful of the ingredients! The mussoli were delicious, the gnocchi with spider crab were delicate and flavorful. The linguine with caperozzoli (small clams) was stellar. And then for the main course, a very rare small fish, perfectly boned and fried (menore). The strudel made by his wife (who serves with kindness and charm) made the evening a perfect end. In conclusion: a small restaurant with a typical family-run trattoria atmosphere, warm welcome and fast service, stellar ingredients, simple and delicious cuisine, and a very extensive menu, especially fish-based. The house wine was more than good. We'll definitely return.
