27/05/2025: Although it is mainly known in Bologna as a place where excellent fish-based dishes are served, it also offers a varied vegetarian proposal of great respect, with truly exquisite dishes. Moreover, it is also possible to taste several different courses, since you can also order just half portions. The service is fast and professional, although it remains absolutely informal and very friendly. The location does not have many seats, especially inside, so I strongly suggest booking in advance.

31/05/2025: Artificial Intelligence works! The morning started badly: in an endless queue leaving from Milan with destination Recanati (MC). About 4 and a half hours to travel 240km, my wife and I closed in our metal box together with thousands of other almost stationary boxes were on the verge of despair. We decided to go out to Castel San Pietro Terme, shortly after Bologna, to look for a refreshment that would make us forget for a moment the disaster of the trip. We head towards the hinterland to see a bit of nature and an inn where we can try the delights of the typical cuisine of the area: we ask the "Artificial Intelligence" and it advises us to travel a few more kilometers to reach the Osteria "La Civichella". Comfortable and empathetic environment, without the frills of a starred cuisine but with a service and a room that immediately induce familiarity and human contact. A menu limited to dishes that are prepared with local products and "homemade", such as the wonderful tagliatelle with ragù. Traditional dishes and house wine (but you can see everywhere bottles of fine wines displayed and ready to be served, if requested) Excellent cured meats and specialties, such as the "salsiccia matta" of their production that brings back ancient poor but true flavors. Simple desserts but spectacular in taste and balance. In essence: I do not easily give 5 full stars in my reviews and generally I keep the fifth for exceptional cases, often of haute cuisine, but here I found a situation that fully involved me: I am only sorry that the distance from home will hardly give me the opportunity to repeat the experience, but I hope that it can be useful to those who, passing through these areas, will trust my words and come to the "Civichella" to have an experience to remember.

16/05/2025: If you have never been to Nectare in Bologna, you are missing out on a real gem! I went there the other day and tried their açaí bowl… it was out of this world! Super creamy, fresh, with freshly cut fruit and delicious toppings. But the thing that struck me the most was the service: the staff is really kind, super attentive to details. You can tell they care about what they do, both in the way they prepare the dishes and in the atmosphere of the place, which is very well-kept and very welcoming. It is not just a place to eat well, it is a little corner of positive energy. Highly recommended!!

We went there without a booking on a day where they had a huge function and only part of the restaurant was available: no problem, they found us a table right away. The food was very good and the service fast and cheerful. Would go back in a flash.

19/05/2025: They are cute… and the baby food is delicious!! A very nice place with a large display of fresh products, from baked goods to cheeses and vegetables. The sweet pastries for breakfast are also worth a mention, especially the fried graffe!! The cheeses arrive fresh weekly from Puglia, fior di latte trecciona, buffalo mozzarella and burrata to die for. A varied and abundant lunch menu, the menu changes almost every day and includes appetizers, first and second courses, including fish; vegetarian dishes are also available. My favorites? Orecchiette alla pastora and gazpacho. Friendly and helpful staff, generous portions, fair prices. They also simply resell bread, obviously made by them. In addition, products for retail sale are available (oil, pasta, cheeses). You can practically spend the whole day there. Clean environment, spacious tables. Well done, really well done.

11/05/2025: Absolutely fantastic. Quite possibly the best cocktail bar I’ve ever been to. Cocktails were amazing - highly recommend the Negroni Sour, Green Day, Big in Japan (pictured) and Krafty (also pictured). While the cocktails were great, the service was even better. Absolutely check out Guero when in Bologna!

21/04/2025: Servizio attento e cortese, qualità altissima e prezzo corretto. Alcuni piatti sono indimenticabili, ad esempio i Manfattini ai funghi di stagione e latte di nocciola che ho mangiato l’ultima volta. Se dovessi scegliere una sola cosa da mangiare per tutta la vita sceglierei quelli. Anche le tagliatelle col ragù sono top!

07/03/2025: Frequento questo posto da almeno vent’anni e non sono mai uscito deluso. Il menu è stagionale , con piatti sia a base di pesce che di carne, sempre nuovi e mai banali. La elevata qualità della materia prima fa il resto. Servizio molto cordiale ed efficiente. Abbiamo bevuto anche molto bene. Prezzo del tutto adeguato a quanto viene proposto.

10/05/2025: We were in the area after the cinema and wanted a good ice cream. Too bad we couldn't even taste the ice cream because the person working very rudely told us after almost ten minutes of waiting that the queue was on the other side (there are two ports, but without any indication of 'entry' or 'exit'). In fact, there weren't even that many people waiting, ten at the most. Incomprehensible. Obviously we left and won't try again. Bologna is a city full of delicious ice cream shops (Sablé, Cremeria Cavour, Cremeria Santo Stefano, Barbara e Renato, ...) and this experience was shameful.

10/05/2025: Top marks, Saturday afternoon for lunch, impeccable service with Matteo and his colleague, excellent food (I recommend the artichoke heart as a starter and the veal with tuna sauce with asparagus for the second course). Well-structured wine list for every need. The place is ancient and well looked after, there is an air of times gone by. I won't comment on the quality/price ratio because my sister-in-law who had her birthday thought about it! From a peek at the menu I would say good in any case. 10/05/2025: I gave it a deserved 5 stars. Tasty food with a varied menu. Well presented quality products. The service, both food and wine, is courteous and competent. The environment is beautiful and well cared for. Worth a stop if you are in the Imola area. Advised.
