The outdoor dining area was gorgeous and was a much-needed contrast from the claustrophobia of downtown Bologna. The quality of the food was mostly very good. Of the eight things my wife and I tried, the shrimp salad was the only thing I thought was subpar. Their tortellini in parmigiano reggiano cream and fliordilate Bolognese were the two standouts. Bonus points for an excellently-curated wine list and charging a fair price for their wines. I paid 38 euros for a bottle of a very good Super Tuscan. Overall a very good dining experience.

A wonderful experience, so close to home. The dishes were rich in flavor, and the menu was thoughtful and creative, and we thoroughly enjoyed them from start to finish. A big round of applause goes to the chef. Highly recommended.

We went to this restaurant for lunch on Sunday.
If you're looking for a place to eat truly well and leave with a smile, Serra Sole is the perfect choice.
Chef Max Poggi's cuisine is a journey through Emilian tradition, crafted with passion and top-quality ingredients. In the kitchen, chef Luca Candini ensures a truly admirable consistency and attention to detail in his dishes—it's no coincidence that his staff calls him "THE ONLY ONE." You can tell the team works with dedication: every dish arrives carefully prepared, precise, and delicious.
In the dining room, the two "Federicas" welcomed us with great professionalism, always kind, attentive, and highly knowledgeable. They offer expert advice, both on dishes and wine, and make you feel immediately at ease. Service is one of this place's strong points.
The menu is a journey through the flavors of Bologna—must-try the tortellini in broth or with Parmigiano Reggiano cream, and the classic latte in piedi (a stand-up latte), a special mention for the trout, and the crostone di fegatini with poached egg (an absolute must-try in my opinion)—dishes that reinterpret tradition with creativity and great technique. The tasting menu with wine pairings is also excellent.
Perfect for families with children:
little ones are welcomed with care and attention, and find dishes suited to them. A rare detail that really makes a difference; my children are 8 and 5, respectively.
The atmosphere is that of a contemporary trattoria surrounded by greenery, with a beautiful, meticulously maintained garden. In summer, dining al fresco among the plants is a wonderful experience.
Highly recommended. We'll be back soon!

I was enchanted by this elegant yet warm and welcoming place. Perhaps it's the thoughtful decor, the soft lighting, the wood that reminds me of grandma's house, but also of care and attention. The food, then, is a true experience: you can taste the love of those who choose and prepare it with every course. The courtesy is truly that of those who know how to welcome. I've found a new favorite place.

Serra Sole: A very refined location and a pleasant atmosphere, with attentive and prompt service for every request.
We tried the tasting menu: the tagliatelle with ragù were excellent, and especially the grilled old cow, truly delicious.
The mortadella mousse with truffle and the black cherry dessert were also interesting.
I highly recommend it;
it was a great experience, with well-crafted dishes, but without being overdone.
We'll definitely try it and return!

I've become a regular at this wonderful restaurant, and I've sampled almost every dish, both traditional and revisited. In addition to the choice of top-quality ingredients, selected according to principles of respect for animals, nature, and local businesses, each recipe is crafted down to the smallest detail, with passion, experience, and culture.
An added bonus is the use of charcoal in cooking meat, fish, and vegetables of all kinds.
This evening, I opted for fish and vegetables:
Grilled sea bass with cabbage puree and green olive gel, grilled spinach, and mixed wild salad.
A refined starter of grilled broad beans with fossa cheese and basil oil.
Federica Bianco, the restaurant manager, has the ability to make everyone feel welcome and at home.
In the kitchen, everyone is well-trained and available to answer any questions.
I'm truly happy that a place like this exists.

A very pleasant lunch :)
The tagliolini with mushrooms were delicious, served with fresh parsley oil; the only flaw was that the tagliolini were a bit broken.
The grilled beef was a success: tender, well-seasoned, and smelled of the grill; the guinea fowl leg was equally as tender and had a flavorful base.
The accompanying vegetables weren't a filler and held their own against the meat without being overpowering; then there's the Sunset Fizz, a cherry-flavored drink, refreshing and generous in quantity.
The place is relaxing, well-kept, and well-utilized; the tables are well-spaced; the service is friendly and efficient. The price is fair, €44 per person.

My wife, daughter, and I visited the Serra Sole restaurant in Treppo, and we can say without hesitation that it was a truly wonderful experience.
The atmosphere is welcoming and refined, perfect for spending quality time with family. The food was simply excellent: carefully prepared dishes, authentic flavors, and quality ingredients that came through in every bite.
The staff was incredibly kind, always available and attentive, making us feel at ease from start to finish.
It's one of those places you'll want to return to because it leaves you with such fond memories. Highly recommended!

Exclusive, with attention to detail. Very good and attentive service. But we came here to eat what we'd seen photos of online, but they weren't there because they supposedly have seasonal menus. In fact, there are two or three appetizers, first courses, and second courses to choose from, no more. I think it's a stylistic choice.

The location is beautiful, both inside and out. Every detail is carefully thought out, from the tables, seating, lighting, to the plating and cutlery. The menu draws on tradition but reinterprets it with elegance, offering tastefully updated dishes. Everything is delicious: the bread from the Brisa bakery, the gnocchetti, the meat, but also the desserts and wines. The prices are a bit high, but in line with the type of restaurant and the overall quality.
My only regret is that I came for a particular dish, but the menu had just changed—a shame!
Overall, a great experience.
