09/09/2025: The gym is in terrible condition. The equipment is old, often broken or out of order, dust is everywhere, and there's zero environmental awareness. The mirrors in the weights room are broken and barricaded, posing a safety risk. The changing rooms and showers are filthy, full of mold and scale: an unsightly sight. The only positive aspect is the helpfulness of the personal trainers and receptionists, who are always kind and professional, but unfortunately, this doesn't make up for the overall state of the facility. I strongly advise against joining.

14/10/2025: Authentic, non-touristified, Italian family restaurant. A true hole in the wall and one of our favorite places to eat in Sorrento, both in 2018 and 2025. If you’re expecting a modern atmosphere and service then it may not be for you, but the food (particularly the calzone and bolognese we got) is some of the best we’ve ever had. Will certainly be going back if we’re ever in Sorrento again, might even go back this trip

17/08/2025: Good pizza, but you are forced to tip when you pay! He hangs up on your bill without your permission. Unpleasant behavior from the bald waiter, threatening and scary. I didn't want to tip, but he FORCED me to even though I said no and was very angry. We couldn't leave otherwise. I WAS SICK!! DON'T GO HERE!

06/10/2025: Tourist trap We got this restaurant recommended and decided to try it. It was a Sunday and the waitress said we could only have the fixed menu and the only choice we had was meat or fish for main course. We agreed but we saw that other tables (with the locals) had other dishes than we so the fixed menu was not true. We had to pay extra for the fish making the menu 35 euros per person which is a lot for such place. We had only 1 glass for the water so we asked 1 more glass which we never got so we drank from 1 glass, that is not a problem but it speaks for the service. The starter was mixed and the pieces that should have been warm were not warm at all. The main dish was fried shrimps and squid and it was too greasy. I can not recommend this restaurant to anybody except perhaps the locals as they are treated differently.

29/09/2025: There were five of us and we ordered, then we canceled a pizza because one person didn't want to eat and even left, everything was fine. So there were four of us left. In the end, we also had to pay the cover charge for the person who didn't want to eat, didn't order, or even get a drink. The excuse was that you can't cancel anymore. (But the pizza could be canceled without the owner, and he didn't even want to call him.) I will never go to this pizzeria again. They thought we were idiots.

31/10/2025: Came here 2 nights out of 3 in town as Carprese salad was best ive had. Calamari was top notch and both pasta dishes fantastic. The tagliolini was home made noodles.

01/10/2025: And what can I say with a view like this... you'll want to have an aperitif!! Nothing, just sit down, order, and enjoy the view, preferably after 6:00 PM when it's less crowded!! Romantic!!

Antico Ricupo is a place where, among food, good wine, professionalism and friendliness, you can spend a day far away and "suspended" from the hectic routine of everyday life... Ad Majora!

25/08/2025: What happened on Sunday, August 24, 2025, was quite scandalous! The beach club has a restaurant area on part of a platform, marked off by a rope. Outside of restaurant hours, a young man sitting on a nearby sun lounger dared to climb over the rope to look out over the sea when one of the two managers approached him, rudely telling him to get out of there. The young man obviously got angry because, as we all know, there are different ways to say the same thing, especially when dealing with CUSTOMERS and not your own family. The situation obviously and quickly escalated. A group of girls sitting nearby urged them both to stop, while the young man repeatedly told the manager to stop and move away so as not to make the situation worse. The manager, in all his "maturity" and "professionalism," instead of calming the situation and walking away, incited and verbally abused the young man. The situation reached its climax when the other beach club owner approached and, with equal "maturity" and "professionalism," told the boy to take his money and leave, all accompanied by rude manners and obvious threats. When the boy threatened to call the police for the treatment he had received, the second owner laughed and arrogantly replied that he could call them, but he didn't care. If it hadn't been for another customer nearby and the boy's friends, the situation would have really escalated, and I don't know what would have happened. Naturally, the afternoon continued with the first owner's boy being glared at. Luckily, his friends were there, and I heard them making light of the situation, and they all didn't hear that both owners continued to tease and insult the boy with other customers. I'll also add a personal experience: one evening I was near the beach club and I thought about staying for dinner. Before sitting down, I approached the platform in question to take a photo of the beautiful sunset. The first manager in question approached me and rudely told me to "get out of there" because it wasn't possible to take photos. When I asked for an explanation, he replied, "Because if you do it, others will come too"... what does that mean?! What can I say? My heartfelt congratulations on the embarrassing situation you've made in front of us customers! Your reputation precedes you, but your manners say a lot about you. Many things can be overlooked, but a lack of manners is truly impossible, considering you're dealing with customers who, as such, aren't your family and who you must respect regardless, because they're your livelihood!
