11/01/2026: We were at this bar and restaurant and I have to say we had a terrible experience... we ordered and they brought half of what we asked for even after several requests... the owner is rude and surly, and after we had paid the bill (5 minutes earlier to him) he had the nerve to stop us and ask with an angry expression and strongly doubting whether we had paid the bill before leaving... without even having the respect to apologize for the mix-up... NEVER AGAIN... in my opinion these people do not deserve to work with the public...

02/01/2026: "Il Brigante" has become a regular stop for us, who have a vacation home in the area. The welcome from the chef's parents is simply exceptional: she, always smiling and attentive, makes you feel part of the family from the moment you arrive. The place is spotless, decorated in typical local style, and exudes a unique warmth. Special praise goes to the chef: besides being a wonderful person, he cooks divinely! I highly recommend it to anyone in the area or passing through L'Aquila. An authentic experience that never disappoints.

28/12/2025: The restaurant is located in the center of a beautiful town (Civita d'Antino). The place is a bit spartan, typical of a restaurant, but the food is good and the chef is a wonderful person. It's not expensive. Go there, you won't regret it, not only for the restaurant but also for spending a peaceful day.

24/12/2025: Our experience at this restaurant was deeply disappointing, at times surreal, and deserves to be shared out of respect for those of us who rely on positive reviews before booking. We chose this restaurant based on a few (few) favorable reviews we read online. In actual fact, however, our experience bore no resemblance to the image portrayed by the reviews; in fact, it was the exact opposite in every respect: service, hospitality, comfort, and customer service. When booking, we had explicitly requested a table in a warm room, given the particularly cold day. A more than legitimate request, evidently ignored. Upon arrival, we found ourselves in a freezing room, with a heat pump present but turned off. When we reported it, we were told the system was on, even though they admitted it was not giving off any heat. A contradiction that speaks for itself. The suspicion, well founded, is that, having booked at 8:40 PM, the restaurant was already preparing to close and, for sheer convenience, they decided to save on heating, passing the inconvenience on to the customers. We ate our meal wearing jackets and hats, a circumstance that should be unthinkable in a restaurant. The service was embarrassingly absent and sloppy: cutlery not replaced, a table completely ignored, a waiter who appeared only to put down the plates and immediately disappeared, without ever deigning a glance or the slightest attention. To call it poor is an understatement. In an attempt to improve the situation, we moved to another room, where there was an empty pellet stove. A sign read "no pellets," a detail bordering on mockery. Again, we were lightheartedly told that "it was hot," in denial. To make matters worse, the floor was visibly damp and dangerously slippery, to the point of posing a real risk. Everything is documented. The environment is aesthetically confusing and unpleasant: a jumbled jumble of styles that doesn't even begin to evoke the idea of ​​a welcoming or characteristic mountain restaurant. The photographs speak for themselves. The most serious moment, however, occurred at the cash register. When I approached the owner, Mrs. Anna, with the intention of civilly expressing our discomfort, I was met with an inappropriate, aggressive, and completely unacceptable reaction: raised voices, altered attitude, and, as we were leaving the establishment, insults and offensive gestures directed at customers. Behavior that to call grotesque is almost indulgent. We left helpless and incredulous. Later, speaking with locals, we were told that such behavior is by no means an exception. I'll conclude by clarifying that I don't like leaving negative reviews. I travel a lot, I know the dynamics of reviews well, and I write with full knowledge of the facts. Precisely for this reason, when I do, it's because I'm forced to. If you're looking for a pleasant dinner, a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and professional customer service, look elsewhere.

02/02/2026: Passing through Opi for an overnight stay, we dined at this traditional restaurant. It offers a typical mountain atmosphere in front of a roaring fireplace. The asparagus, pecorino, and sausage were excellent, as were the arrosticini, and my wife absolutely loved the chocolate cake. The hostess was very kind, and the waiter deserves special mention, a very polite and precise young man. We'll definitely be back.

26/09/2025: We found this inn by chance, looking for a convenient place to stay for visiting Campo Imperatore and the Gran Sasso by motorcycle. Upon arrival, my wife and I were a little disappointed when we saw the place from the outside, but we dropped off our bags and set off. When we returned that evening, we found a simple but beautifully renovated room. The welcome was excellent, the room with bathroom was clean and very tidy, and the bathroom was perfect. The dinner, what can I say? Wonderful, with excellent house wine. I definitely recommend it.

06/01/2026: Historic pizzeria and restaurant in Roccaraso. Excellent pizzas, pasta dishes, meat dishes, and desserts. Friendly staff, and despite the spacious dining room, service is quite fast. Prices are reasonable.
