04/04/2026: A lovely trattoria with authentic, wholesome flavors. We visited on the Saturday evening before Easter. The place was warm and welcoming. From appetizers to dessert, every dish was beautifully prepared using top-quality ingredients. The ricotta crumble with chocolate was divine.

Worth a subscription. 12.23.25: Even in winter, it's a welcoming little place. The tagliata steak is excellent, and the Montepulciano by the glass is a must-try! 😄

02/06/2026: Excellent experience. Traditional Abruzzo cuisine prepared the way it used to be, with fresh ingredients and delicious dishes. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is warm thanks to the family management. Highly recommended.

01/06/2026: A beautiful place on a plateau in the mountains, a little corner of paradise. The location is beautiful, with outdoor seating available. The menu is excellent, with all dishes made with the freshest ingredients, exceptional ravioli, and super friendly staff. We'll definitely be back.

26/12/2025: We found ourselves in this restaurant after visiting Alba Fucens, excellent value for money, abundant and very good first courses (compliments for the bread, it was really delicious!) The owners were very kind and welcoming, we had a really good time.

22/04/2026: Perfect lunch break! We were in the area for work and stopped at this restaurant. Even though we were short on time and had only chosen a starter to keep things light, the quality really surprised us: delicious food and excellent ingredients. The place is truly beautiful, welcoming, and very clean, with a friendly atmosphere that makes for a very pleasant lunch. The quality-price ratio is also excellent. An ideal choice for those in these beautiful mountain areas looking for a refined meal. We'll definitely be back, taking a more leisurely approach!

31/01/2026: A true gem in the heart of Roccaraso! If you're looking for the true essence of Abruzzo cuisine, La Capannina is an absolute must. We were welcomed with an old-world warmth and professionalism: the staff is exquisitely kind, always attentive to every detail and capable of making you feel at home from the first moment. But let's move on to the highlight: the food. * The house antipasto is a triumph of local flavors: a lavish platter of local cured meats, quality cheeses (the fresh ricotta is sublime!), artisanal pickled vegetables, and incredibly flavorful sautéed mushrooms. * The first courses are pure poetry. We tried a fresh pasta with incredibly creamy porcini mushroom cream, a dish that exudes mountain flavors and tradition. * The meat, cooked to perfection, confirms the high quality of the ingredients used. Even the simplest dishes, like the hamburger and fries, exude an authentic, captivating flavor. * The atmosphere is rustic and welcoming, as you'd expect from a high-end retreat in Roccaraso. Excellent value for the quality offered. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back to indulge in the flavors of Abruzzo again.

01/05/2026: You can't come to Abruzzo and eat arrosticini worse than those you buy at the supermarket. Plus, they're too expensive for the quality, hard, and dry. Not to mention the wait times. Not recommended for tourists. Then you understand why there's room on a holiday, almost empty.

28/02/2026: The bartender is a bit sleepy and forgets the orders. We ordered a platter for two at 4:50 PM and at 6 PM it still hasn't arrived. I had gone for an aperitif, not dinner... terrible service, they need to change the staff.
