01/01/2026: We stayed here with friends for a short post-Christmas break. The hotel is a bit dated, but still adequate. Mr. Piero was always kind and available to answer any of our questions. The rooms were very clean, and the location is excellent for reaching ski resorts and exploring the local towns. Last but not least, breakfast and dinner were a pleasant surprise. The food was excellent, high-quality, and well-cooked. Highly recommended. Excellent value.

11/06/2026: We visited this restaurant and couldn't have asked for anything better. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish! The staff is simply fantastic: everyone is super helpful, attentive to every detail, and—what really makes the difference—they always welcome customers with a smile. They make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. And the food? It's delicious! Carefully prepared dishes, quality ingredients, and perfect portions. We'll definitely be back as soon as possible. Congratulations to the entire staff!

08/03/2026: EVERYTHING WAS FANTASTIC! We needed to feed a huge number of people in a very short time. Everything was done to perfection, maintaining the highest quality of the dishes. The staff was incredibly friendly, and a special mention goes to the owner, who was fantastic!

03/06/2026: This is a small rest area offering standard products without any specialties, but it does have plenty of parking. The entrance is unfortunately misleading, just a few meters from the Casoria exit. Overall, it's recommended for a casual stop. The staff, however, is helpful and friendly.

26/12/2025: We found ourselves in this restaurant after visiting Alba Fucens, excellent value for money, abundant and very good first courses (compliments for the bread, it was really delicious!) The owners were very kind and welcoming, we had a really good time.

31/01/2026: A true gem in the heart of Roccaraso! If you're looking for the true essence of Abruzzo cuisine, La Capannina is an absolute must. We were welcomed with an old-world warmth and professionalism: the staff is exquisitely kind, always attentive to every detail and capable of making you feel at home from the first moment. But let's move on to the highlight: the food. * The house antipasto is a triumph of local flavors: a lavish platter of local cured meats, quality cheeses (the fresh ricotta is sublime!), artisanal pickled vegetables, and incredibly flavorful sautéed mushrooms. * The first courses are pure poetry. We tried a fresh pasta with incredibly creamy porcini mushroom cream, a dish that exudes mountain flavors and tradition. * The meat, cooked to perfection, confirms the high quality of the ingredients used. Even the simplest dishes, like the hamburger and fries, exude an authentic, captivating flavor. * The atmosphere is rustic and welcoming, as you'd expect from a high-end retreat in Roccaraso. Excellent value for the quality offered. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back to indulge in the flavors of Abruzzo again.

27/07/2026: We found this place by chance. The wait was a bit long, but the service, the owner's friendliness, and the excellent food made it definitely worth it! The place is very homey and authentic. The price is in line with the service. Highly recommended, and I'll definitely be back (I hope).

19/07/2026: We come back to eat here every time we have the opportunity. Laura is fantastic, and the atmosphere is family-friendly. They serve excellent arrosticini, toasted bread, and Italian-style appetizers.

07/08/2026: Welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, from the front desk staff to the owners. We had meat, pizza, and desserts. Everything was delicious; we didn't leave anything on our plates. :-P

09/06/2026: We were passing through Capestrano and stopped for a quick lunch at this restaurant, in a nice tourist spot near the castle. All in all, it wasn't bad, but the pasta was unsalted and the cherry tomatoes were raw. The trout, however, was good, and so was the salad! The owner was very polite and courteous!

04/07/2026: On Saturday night, the menu was devoid of calamari, the atmosphere was a bit pricy and dated; the food was acceptable but expensive. The feeling was that "eating at home would have been better": two spaghetti with clams, a mixed seafood platter, a baked potato, a small salad, a water, and a quart of wine for €57.

The surrounding landscapes are breathtaking, ideal for hikes and nature walks. An authentic retreat where you can completely unwind from your daily routine. A must-visit.

16/02/2026: Pros: -quiet location, beautiful area, it took about half an hour to get to the proposed destination; - the heat (being February the weather is quite cold) I appreciated that there was no economy, being with the child it was clearly a must have. Minus: - the fireplace was the main reason why I chose this place, I asked the owner twice, he told me that maybe he could find some wood and I was left with this answer 😊; - lack of wifi (only theoretically); - poor cleanliness, it requires more involvement regarding this aspect and I am not a picky person 🙃; - at least some soap in the bathroom would have been necessary 😌; - at some point the power went out in the entire building, (goodbye heat, no light) the owner didn't answer the phone 😊 but didn't call back later to find out the reason for the calls, 🫣, luckily for the husband and another dad staying across the street 😌 who actually looked for the panel outside in the rain to find out the cause and fixed the problem together; - you can hear absolutely everything that happens across the street 🫣 🫣 🤪.
