25/08/2025: A truly welcoming hotel, they shake your hand upon arrival (a gesture that is anything but banal and obvious), the restaurant is out of science fiction, with truly spectacular quality and portions, we had a great time and will definitely be back.

Cortesia del personale e cucina di buon livello con utilizzo di prodotti molto buoni. Una specialità le "fregnacce" una vera goduria. Ottimi gli antipasti e per gli amanti la "coratella". prezzi sicuramente nella norma. Da provare

28/07/2025: È il secondo anno di fila che torno a Villetta Barrea e la tappa ormai è diventata d'obbligo, il ristorante è centralissimo, location calorosa e casareccia, lo staff è gentilissimo e Mauro veramente simpatico e disponibile, il cibo è favoloso, sono ritornato per le tagliatelle con scaglie di tartufo e sono fantastiche!!! 27/07/2025: If you want to taste Abruzzo, you have to stop by Mauro's. We booked almost by chance, intrigued by the rich and promising menu... and we can say with certainty that it was a more than perfect choice! We were greeted with rare kindness and helpfulness: the waiter, with his sweetness and professionalism, made us feel truly at home. We started with an appetizer of game and local cheeses: an explosion of authentic flavors, with a special mention for the ricotta, simply incredible. Next, the mixed roast cooked over beech wood embers was a triumph of flavor, perfectly cooked, and irresistible aroma. During our week in Abruzzo, we had the opportunity to try several restaurants, all excellent, but here you can breathe and savor the true soul of the region. It's impossible not to want to return. And indeed... we did! To take home not only the flavors, but also the memory of an authentic and unforgettable experience. We love arrosticini!!! Congratulations indeed. A grill restaurant that deserves 5 stars!

28/08/2025: Good morning, I was at this restaurant on August 15th. My 3-star rating is a balance between the exceptional welcome I received and the quality of the food served. Let's start by saying that everything in the area was full, and I stumbled upon this place by chance. Even though everything was full, the staff welcomed me really well and went out of their way to find me a seat. So far, so good. We received the menu and placed our order. We waited a long time for lunch (but that's understandable, it was really too busy). We chose an appetizer, 3 first courses, a bottle of water, and a grappa. The quality could really be improved. The price was a bit too high (total €62). They also made sandwiches, which looked more inviting. Maybe next time I'm in the area, I'll try that. The first courses weren't very good, let's put it that way. The politeness and welcome were still there, which were truly wonderful.

Colti da un temporale durante il pranzo, costretti a rientrare senza poter finire di mangiare, nessun si è preoccupato di riapparecchiare all'interno del locale e tanto meno se avevamo finito di mangiare. Dopo una bella inzuppata neanche il caffè offerto....... Rapporto qualità prezzo? Da rivedere, olive denocciolate dentro l insalatona... della salsa zazziki neanche l ombra. Bruschette...... Molli.. Bastava un po' di attenzione!!!

25/08/2025: In the center of Castel di Sangro, a very nice bar with indoor and outdoor tables. Good desserts and ice creams. In particular, the lemon one made as it once was is excellent. Very kind staff.

10/09/2025: A very welcoming property, strategically located for exploring the Abruzzo hinterland, just steps from the highway exit. Very clean, spacious and bright rooms with exceptional fixtures, and free on-site parking with independent management (we parked four motorcycles and were provided with the gate key at no extra cost). The included breakfast was rich and plentiful, and the staff was extremely kind and helpful. A truly pleasant stay. We'll definitely do it again! 👍

31/08/2025: I'd been suggested to try this gem, and I eagerly accepted the invitation. We were intrigued by the tasting menu, but in the end we opted for à la carte. Our favorite dish was definitely the chickpea and onion tart, followed by the soft chocolate cake with goat's milk ice cream and saffron cream. The ravioli with rabbit and saffron apples had a delicious filling, even though you couldn't taste the saffron. The overall experience was more than positive, and it will become a must-try! Congratulations

05/08/2025: We ate at this restaurant on Sunday. I'll start by saying that the owner was rude and unpleasant. The service was terrible. While I was reading the menu, the waiter came by and snatched it from me. When I made a reservation, they told me it was possible to have a set menu. I arrived and was told it was only à la carte. The appetizers were unpleasant. The first courses were good. Very expensive.
