07/07/2026: One of the best, if not the best, places I've ever eaten. It's not just a simple meal, but a culinary experience. Excellent food, unique flavors. Barbara truly knows how to enhance each dish in a unique way. The place is very charming. Her husband, Andrea, is a poet in describing each dish, transporting you to a multi-sensory experience. I hope everyone has this experience at least once.

09/12/2023: L'Aquila non è solo arrosticini e carme, ma anche OTTIMO e sottolineo OTTIMO pesce. Prima volta che mangiamo pesce a L'Aquila e la nostra scelta è stata eccellente, pesce fresco, piatti a dir poco deliziosi, dagli antipasti al dolce non c'è stata una pietanza che ci ha fatto storcere il naso. Abbiamo preso antipasto della casa, due primi (tagliolini allo scoglio, spaghetti vongole e pistacchi) due grigliate, una frittura, una rana pescatrice e broccoletti, tutto accompagnato da un ottimo vino e pane buonissimo e per finire sorbetto alla vodka e alla ratafia (superlativo). Alla fine ilo staff ci ha offerto amari genziana e ratafia. Proprietario e cameriere che ci ha serviti gentilissimi, cortesi e accoglienti, così come il locale, accogliente e pulito. Torneremo sicuramente e lo consiglieremo a tutti coloro che vorranno mangiare pesce a L'Aquila. Grazie!

11/06/2026: I frequent the area between Ovindoli and Rocca di Cambio, and I've tried more or less all the restaurants in Ovindoli, Rovere, Rocca di Mezzo, etc. What can I say? Il Giardino di Andrea, so far, is the only one that seems organized like a large restaurant, catering for large numbers. The speed of service was impressive. It must have been 4 minutes from the time we ordered appetizers. The dishes were generous, and the restaurant was well-maintained and dimly lit. I won't comment on the quality of the dishes because that would depend on personal taste. I haven't tried the pizza, but I'll definitely be back. Congratulations!

All the dishes we tried were of the highest quality: - Cacio e ova (cheese and egg balls): Simply exquisite, expertly executed. - Saffron gnocchi: A revelation, creamy and with a fragrance that captivates you from the first bite. - Arrosticini: Unparalleled, perfectly cooked and made with excellent ingredients. - Scamorza with truffle: A sublime combination, intense and refined. - The Fillacchi cacio e ova (cheese and egg) were unexpectedly superb! Beyond the food, the kindness and professionalism of the staff deserves special mention, as they immediately made us feel at home. The setting is also captivating: Castelvecchio Calvisio is a splendid village, which is slowly returning to its former glory as the center's renovation continues, adding even more charm to the atmosphere. The value for money is exceptional; we spent very little compared to the exceptional quality of the food we ate. We returned home thrilled, with full bellies and the certainty of wanting to return to this corner of paradise on the Gran Sasso as soon as possible. A place that deserves every single award it's received and much more.
