We ate everything...from the abundant and tasty appetizers, to the meat (a steak that is difficult to find around) really excellent...everything cooked just right...to the homemade dessert...very nice atmosphere and the owner He is a person who makes you feel immediately at ease! All the staff are very attentive and smiling! I highly recommend it to anyone passing through Celano or the surrounding area!

28/09/2024: Good, but… Our experience with Materia Prima begins with the booking phone call; in which we anticipated that we would have a small dog with us and their response was to clarify their position and that is: in the event that the dog had not behaved appropriately they would have felt authorized to interrupt our stay on site and therefore dinner. In any case, we decide to go to dinner, certain that our dog's behavior could be up to par in any restaurant. At the entrance we were greeted with great courtesy by the dining room staff, who brought us the menu; which includes two tasting menus, however the dishes they include are not specified, but simply the number of courses. At this point, our thought was that of free choice of dishes, obviously when we proposed our idea of ​​a tasting experience to the dining room staff it was fully accepted but with some supplements, clearly they had an organizational imprint different from that of us proposal. We asked ourselves, why not make the tasting proposal explicit? Or simply explain which dishes you can choose from? The dishes served were excellent, a great experience. Perhaps I would improve the desserts, which despite being part of the non-pre-packaged tasting menu, we did not have the freedom to choose. The staff very professional, impeccable. The environment is very modern, with attention to detail. If I had to say that I felt at ease and welcomed, I wouldn't say it, I almost had the impression of having to be on the alert, probably also dictated by our prejudice regarding dog management.

02/11/2024: Se si va a Santo Stefano di Sessanio non si può non andare da Andrea e Barbara, un locale delizioso con solo 4 tavoli in cui si respira aria di casa. Cucina della tradizione, piatti semplici ma davvero ottimi (la quinoa con l'ortica pazzesca!) e soprattutto Andrea è un meraviglioso padrone di casa, ti fa sentire coccolata e servita ad ogni portata. Il tutto accompagnato da un buonissimo vino rosso di Montepulciano. Davvero una piacevole scoperta!

Professional and very kind staff attentive to customer needs. The location of the property is excellent as you can easily reach all the places of interest. Excellent and plentiful breakfast and above all of high quality. Homemade donuts, flavors of times gone by...hams for breakfast also of high quality, variety of croissants, croissants and more particular flavors such as apple, cinnamon and pomegranate, as well as the usual flavours. Beautiful western style restaurant, abundant and quality typical dishes at honest prices. Tasted veal with citrus fruits, lamb with herbs, courgettes with basil and more.. The structure is also very suitable for motorcyclists due to the availability of rooms and parking in front of your accommodation. The place is extremely quiet. The menu is explained verbally and we chose hot starters (cereal soup, braised meat and kebabs with chickpeas and onions), 2 malatagliati with venison sauce, 2 glasses of red wine. It was all delicious and genuine. After leaving a tip the restaurateur gave us a bottle of house wine. Highly recommended

13/10/2024: We have frequented it several times although for the moment we have only enjoyed their pizza. What can I say? Excellent dough, good variety and choice. I think it's the best on the Altopiano delle Rocche. The homemade desserts are also excellent. Service as always precise and fast.

30/09/2024: Beautiful and warm environment, impeccable service with a kind and helpful waitress. We ate a very tasty mixed fried dish and some really good courgette flowers as an appetizer. The thin and crunchy pizza with fresh and well-balanced ingredients.

26/08/2024: fuori dalla via principale, ma sempre in centro città, stupendo locale, gestito in maniera impeccabile, cibo di ottima qualità, cortesia gentilezza e molta simpatia cooperano per la perfetta riuscita della serata, prezzo correttissimo per la qualità della proposta, un must se passate dalla città, e fortunati gli aquilani che possono andarci molto piu' spesso di noi.

23/08/2024: We decided to book after reading the reviews. We had dinner outside, friendly staff, well looked after food. We ordered two grilled scamorza, one sliced, a first course with mushrooms and truffle, a first course with tomato, all very good. If I really had to find a "flaw" in the cut, I would add less salt. Two desserts tiramisu and pistachio panna cotta both good. And maybe a little limoncello🤪. All good around €23 each.

09/11/2024: We ate here (at least once) every day during our week-long stay in Pacentro (Abruzzo region). The warm welcome from the owners made us feel like family, and the food was the best we had on our trip to the Abruzzo. Over the course of many days, we enjoyed fantastic pasta(s), excellent pizza, and a very good steak with porcini mushrooms. The elegant/rustic atmosphere is also lovely. For someone visiting the area, it is definitely worth a special visit to dine here. Very reasonable prices for the quality and the experience. Reservations are a must for dinner, and pizza is only available on the dinner menu.
