20/11/2025: I loved it so much that I "needed" to return the next day. Yes, because for dinner I chose the meatballs, the Vicenza-style cod, and, last but not least, the delicious cod cheesecake. But that wasn't enough; I wanted to try the first courses! So I returned the next day to savor more appetizers, the wonderful stuffed ravioli, and another dessert. What can I say? Impeccable table service, refined atmosphere, and a very kind chef. I'm thrilled in every way! Congratulations on the welcome, the suggestions, the descriptions of the dishes, the tastings, and the mint infusion. It was a unique flavor experience!

07/11/2025: Today, November 7, 2025, our third day in Palermo, visiting the monuments of this fantastic city, we come across a delicatessen at Via Vittorio Emanuele 389 whose aromas can be felt even in the street. Over the past few days, we've often eaten fish at various restaurants in Mondello and on excursions in the surrounding area (Bagheria, Borgo Porrini, Monreale, etc.), and many other Sicilian specialties. We enter this delicatessen, observing its characteristic tavern-like decor, and meet a gentleman named Amedeo Palermitano DOC, who graciously welcomes us and seats us at a shared table (it's raining outside). The atmosphere is promising, and we're seated right in front of the large counter displaying all the shop's merchandise. Behind the counter, a young Sicilian woman named Teresa practically does everything herself (she actually has the help of a young man who only takes care of the after-dinner service, and her father Anedeo, who, kindly, despite a few aches and pains, delivers things to the tables and attends to the guests' needs). We carefully watch Teresa prepare and order a platter of cured meats and cheeses, along with other small items for the two of us. Amedeo, at our request, recommends the wine, and we order two glasses: a red for me and a white for my wife, both from fine Sicilian wineries. The platter arrives and is truly marvelous: 6 or 7 types of cheese of varying consistencies, from ricotta with citrus sauce to provolone stuffed with olives and chili pepper, through other spicy and not-so-unique cheeses. The cheeses are accompanied by equally varied cured meats, such as mortadella and mortadella with herbs, capocollo, fillet, a unique cooked ham, salami, and prosciutto crudo. In the middle of the platter were some delicious marinated green and black olives and a small plate of eggplant with sauce and celery, honey mushrooms, and sweet and sour marinated pumpkin. My palate was overwhelmed by a variety of original flavors, and the glass of wine enhanced them. I won't deny that I even ate all the bread in the basket. Amedeo is a man with extensive life experience (an overager like me), and with him we talked about the South and our shared dream of seeing a respected, autonomous South, aware of its artistic and historical values, and of people who can foster a sense of belonging. I noticed two of Amedeo's loves: his daughter Teresa, to whom he gazes with paternal love, and Santa Rosalia, whom she jealously guards in a small niche within the restaurant. Teresa, on the other hand, is the hub of the delicatessen, the industrious part of the shop, combining the combinations and intertwining of cured meats and cheeses, as well as small gastronomic dishes of Sicilian delicacies. He's very knowledgeable, even in running this shop, and his passion for this profession shines through. Aside from the culinary delights you shouldn't miss if you're passing through (very close to the cathedral, the royal palace, and the church of San Giuseppe dei Teatini and Santa Caterina—practically at the center of these monumental masterpieces), I had the pleasure of meeting two people of great depth, both in their simplicity and thorough professionalism. For those interested in the god of money, we spent only 20 euros each. Greetings to Teresa and Amedeo. Long live Santa Rosalia.

24/11/2025: Nice place, a little isolated, but it's worth stopping if you're passing by. All the dishes are homemade and excellent. Nice, full plates, great food, good service, nice atmosphere, downstairs, it's a nice bar, plenty of parking spaces.
12/11/2025: The best restaurant I've ever eaten at on Lake Como. Everything was delicious, and the staff were always smiling. We went there three times during our stay and each time we were stuffed. The portions were large! The prices were also very reasonable. For a moment, I felt like a real Italian. The restaurant also serves desserts, which aren't listed on the menu, but after asking the waiter, we get a full list of what's being served that day.

01/12/2025: We went for Sunday lunch and were immediately impressed by the fantastic service and customer care, which continued throughout the meal. We chose the "Piemonte" set menu, of which I've attached photos, and I can only give it 5 stars, from the service, to the food, and to the off-menu "additions" served during the meal (an entrée with an alcoholic drink and a sorbet before dessert). There's internal parking where you can conveniently leave your car. We'll definitely be back.
12/11/2025: A refined restaurant, both in its decor and in its cuisine and service. All dishes are elegantly presented and explained by the owner with passion and meticulous attention to detail.

27/10/2025: Let's start with the good things: the service was acceptable, the prawns and mussels were passable, and the appetizer was too. The place is very small, but that's not the problem. Perhaps it would be bigger if the entrance wasn't cluttered with kitchen equipment: a water dispenser, a huge blast chiller right at the entrance, and a coffee machine. Okay, I guess these are choices dictated by necessity. We read the menu; nothing special. We order the seafood risotto: not paella, and certainly not 1kg of deconstructed white rice topped with mussels and prawns. And yet: that's exactly what we get. In a single paella pan for the whole table. It's announced with, "Here's the paella." Now, in gastronomy, names matter. I'm not going to go into what risotto and paella are; it doesn't matter now. Or rather, it matters a great deal, but in this context, it's decidedly superfluous. What matters is what we received: a generous 1 kg of parboiled white rice (probably with a generous amount of glutamate, i.e., a good bouillon cube), very boiled. Because it's different: well, because by boiling rice in abundant water, the starch dissolves, the rice loses body... And it doesn't form any internal creaminess. It's also certainly not creamed, not risotto-style... More details for connoisseurs, obviously. Obviously, we sent almost all of it back. "Do you want to take it home?" (They asked us twice). Me: "No, we'll ignore it." Then at a certain point, a woman from the kitchen (I assume the cook) comes out into the dining room and says to the waiters: "The kitchen is closed, I'm fed up..." (it was 1:45 PM). We, of course: message received. The waiter asks us: do you want anything else? Yes, the bill. €157. Two seafood appetizers (passable, it must be said) and a 1 kg pan of Carnaroli rice. Boiled rice. With mussels and prawns on top. Those were passable, too, it must be said. Oh well.

26/11/2025: Bravo Ori, excellent fish. Excellent first courses and very good mixed fried fish. Decent wine list. Fair prices for the quality; perhaps if you increased the quantity a bit you could really get a star rating 😀. Close to the sea, great for a stroll when the weather is nice. Bravo!

26/10/2025: We were in Rome and went twice because it's impossible not to go back to this place. The people are cheerful, friendly, and responsible, the food is plentiful, and the value for money is unbeatable, especially given the area. Honestly, the food is super delicious and flavorful. The calzone is so delicious and filling, I highly recommend it, as are their pizzas 🥳🥳🥳🍕🍕 For dessert, I liked the cheesecake the most... oh my goodness, how light it was, 100,000 points.

Carbonara, Boscaiola pizza, the fried meatballs with cheese fondue, the pasta with sea bass, truffle and lemon, and finally the tiramisu (wonderful and light). The staff was very pleasant and the service was satisfactorily fast. Also, despite being so centrally located, it is good value for money. ❤️

27/11/2025: The restaurant is centrally located, but not the easiest to find because the street is quite dark. However, the search is worth it for the overall experience. The lady is incredibly kind and helpful, and the service is informal but attentive and never intrusive. Every dish I ordered was perfectly seasoned and had exquisite flavors. It was a wonderful experience!
