02/06/2025: More than once we have eaten at this little restaurant, both in groups and as a couple and each time it has been a pleasure to be welcomed and always feel welcome, even with our dog Eugenia. Kind service and truly excellent dishes. I recommend it if you are not looking for sophisticated environments but a welcoming homely simplicity.

19/05/2025: AVOID!! We go there for lunch, as a couple. Welcoming place, nice outdoor garden to have lunch. We sit down and the waiter arrives, with a board in his hand and tells us "this is the menu of the day", with three first courses, three second courses and two very banal side dishes. When I ask if that was the only menu, he answers yes. We are practically forced to take rigatoni, snow peas and speck, the only choice that seemed decent. After 5 minutes, two ladies arrive and are offered the menu of the day and the à la carte menu. I call the waiter asking for explanations and he LYINGLY answers that they only do the à la carte menu in the EVENING. The two ladies order from the à la carte menu serenely, having more choice than us. In the meantime, we are brought a pasta dish, very shabby, overcooked, very salty and that only tasted of stock cubes. The worst thing is that I explain the matter at the cash register, the girl ignores me at first, then later says that the waiter is new, then asks me for €33 with the plates left full on the table. I see a lot of cunning and little skill, because the food sucks and the service even more. AVOID GETTING SCAMMED LIKE US.

01/06/2025: I'm an American visiting from Washington DC. I've been to Italian restaurants all over the world, including Michelin-rated restaurants. Osteria Pulesi Udine served me the best Ossobuco of my life. Simply amazing! Perfetto!

25/05/2025: We stopped here for lunch (primo + coffee). It's a bit hidden in the old town, but perhaps that makes it all the better. Highly recommended!

01/04/2025: When we go to Villa Cecilia we are always treated like family. The owner Antonella is always ready to satisfy every need. The location is wonderful because, especially in summer with the outdoor patio/garden, you can enjoy a view of Udine and the surrounding plain that is truly unique!! And even more so in the evening. We often return also because the seafood Paella, made to order, is exceptional!!! Strictly house wines.

24/02/2025: A beautiful discovery, everything taken care of down to the smallest detail, from the room to the service, to which is added the welcome of the owner, in short, you feel at home. Delicious dishes, a perfect combination of tradition and quality. We will definitely be back!

14/06/2025: As a german, I always find difficult to go eat because it‘s hard to find even one waiter that speaks at least decent english. But not at „Al Nuovo Baffone“. Not only the waiter spoke fluent english, but also german. He was also ready to hand-out the menu translated in german. We‘ve felt really included! Awesome experience, nice atmosphere, and the tipp was well given! Absolutely recommend!!!

09/03/2025: I love this restaurant! The sushi is always very fresh and of high quality. In particular, the strawberry sushi is something special: a perfect combination of fish and sweetness, with a crunchy and soft texture at the same time that I love. It's unique and every time I come, it's my favorite dish. I absolutely recommend this place!

15/06/2025: Ero da solo a cena, ho ordinato pizza e birra su un semplicissimo tavolino non apparecchiato. Pizza modesta, la signora alla cassa una tuttologa che ha dispensato consigli al mondo intero. Alla fine 4 euro di coperto. Un consiglio, anzi due: abbassare le ali e non fregare la gente

03/06/2025: Ok that the place was full...but we waited more than 1 hour for our pizza. To then have a disappointment. Definitely terrible. The dough was raw and the edge all soft. We were unable to eat it. Positive note the service. Good and nice guys.

24/05/2025: The restaurant offers a variety of Asian dishes: not only Chinese, but also Thai, Japanese and Korean. The dishes are not only plentiful, but also really well made and the prices are really affordable. I will definitely be back!

01/05/2025: Un posto molto bello e tranquillo consigliato anche per famiglie con bambini poiché posside dei giochi all'aperto....una cucina semplice casareccia e con piatti tipici consiglio di prendere un tris di primi x assaggiare più cose a noi sono piaciuti molto ... poi siamo passati al frico con polenta ottimo x concludere lo strudel di mele e un ottimo digestivo offerto dal proprietario....prezzi ottimi

27/05/2025: Wide choice of flavors, from the great classics to the more sophisticated ones, all interesting. When I pass by the area, I often stop to get ice cream here. 3 scoops for a total of €5.40 (€1.80 per scoop), a reasonable cost, considering the quality of the ice cream and the location of the ice cream shop, that is, right in the center of Udine. Availability of benches outside where you can sit and enjoy the ice cream in peace. Helpful and willing staff. In the photo Cookies, Cremino Caramello and Bueno White.
