19/10/2025: A few minutes’ walk from the Castle, Osteria al Marinaio is a real gem. The goulash was incredibly tender – the meat practically melted in the mouth – and paired beautifully with the polenta, which was soft, delicate, and light, creating the perfect balance. The dessert, enriched with a touch of grappa, along with the wine and coffee, was a very pleasant finish. Even the lentils, though a bit salty for my taste, were flavorful and hearty. The atmosphere is truly unique and cozy, almost like being in a countryside cottage rather than in the city. It can get crowded, and service may take a little time, but the experience is absolutely worth it. A warm, authentic spot for anyone looking to enjoy a comforting meal in a welcoming setting.

13/10/2025: A traditional and welcoming trattoria, with authentic, fresh fish and traditional dishes just the way I like them, all delicious. The friendliness of the family management is very welcome. It's a great place to stay and enjoy delicious fish and meat dishes. The fish is incredibly fresh, as in Marano, fishing boats arrive every day with freshly caught fish. Every dish is delicious and cooked with excellent recipes and according to tradition. The price is good and reasonable. I recommend this trattoria, located just a few steps from the center of Marano Lagunare. 😊😋

15/09/2025: An iconic place where you can enjoy the area's most typical and oldest recipe, L'Ocikana. You can also try Friulian dishes like Il Fricco. Either way, the pasta and meat dishes are exceptional and in a unique setting. In the last four years, I've traveled to Friuli three times from Spain, and each time, I absolutely must pay them a visit to taste their exquisite Ocikana. Thank you so much 😊

A FILM SET FROM ANOTHER TIME Crossing the threshold is like entering a film from another era, where elegance translates into sobriety and style into character. The venue's decor has a vintage feel, but not dated: rather, "classic." It's a place that retains its identity without chasing passing trends. The rooms are bright, spacious yet intimate, with corners that shelter conversation and offer privacy even when the venue is full. The light is bright yet warm, like an embrace that invites you to stay. THE MENU The menu tells the story of a cuisine that isn't afraid to branch out. Fish and meat, first courses, pizzas, desserts: everything finds its place in a balance that isn't distracting but generous. I chose fried calamari with chips, a classic that here becomes an everyday poem. Perfectly crispy, lightly fried, golden chips. 16/10/2025: On the two occasions we've dined with our dog, we've found the staff to be warm, professional, knowledgeable, and very friendly. The food, both meat and seafood, is delicious and beautifully prepared and served. The bill is fair, and the satisfaction we felt at the end of the meal naturally led us to compliment them on their ability to make us have a pleasant time. Thanks again.

20/09/2025: On the way from Italy near the border with Austria, we stopped here for a small lunch. Just by looking at it, from the outside or inside, you can see that the Dolomites end around the corner and the Alps begin. We arrived at lunchtime, it was full, the staff had a lot of work and orders, so they were not very talkative. The pizzas on the plates of the other guests already looked so classic, not completely Italian, but this Pizza Štangla was excellent. I recommend it to anyone who is not too hungry. The taste, presentation, and overall appearance of the food are all excellent. I can imagine coming here again in a quieter time and having peace of mind even with choosing a place according to your own needs, watching the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.
