13/07/2025: I’m sitting in the village of Prosek, sipping real Prosecco — turns out this is where it originally comes from! However, the name Prosecco was officially registered elsewhere, so locals here are only allowed to call their wine Prosekar. There’s something called an Osmiza — a tradition that allows locals to sell their homemade wine and food, but only for a very limited time during the year. You can find a list of open Osmizas online, but it’s always best to ask locals which ones are authentic and not for tourist. Let me tell you — the wine was absolutely incredible. They should bottle it as perfume! A glass of their homemade Prosekar was just €3.50. We also shared some local meats — Prosciutto Arrosto and Ombolo — and for dessert, a panna cotta that was out of this world. We spent about an hour there, chatted with the locals, made some new friends.Not a tourist in sight — just a truly local experience.

23/10/2025: The best carbonara I have had since I visit Venice. We were told the chef has been working on the recipe for 3 years.

12/10/2025: Salad isn't served with bread. Their homemade bread costs €3.80, and a cover charge per person is €2 (including cutlery). Seven people, including three children, paid around €23 per person. We were asked at least three times if we wanted to order within minutes of entering. The waiter immediately offered us fries as an appetizer, which he then charged us. The kids' burgers were small, without salad and barely toppings, and served with very few fries. Our plates were taken away as soon as we'd taken the last bite and were still chewing, perhaps because the place was crowded and there weren't enough plates available for everyone. The overall atmosphere was frenetic and stressful, with the young waiters often rushing around and rushing. The prices were moderately high for the quality of the food served. It was a little better in the past, I'd say, and perhaps the management has changed. I don't know if we'll return again.

21/09/2025: Two Aussies 80 days away and wanted a burger for lunch… OMG did they deliver … huge burger with curled fries WITH a dipping sauce. Fresh ,full of flavour and just like a burger from Australia with Italian flair. Beautiful service from friendly waitress that was confident and very happy. Watched other diners with similar experiences. WELL DONE . Good food and good service . Recommend!!

11/10/2025: Centrally located in the square. A quiet, elegant setting. The menu offers a full range of options. Prices are reasonable. The staff is very upbeat.

06/10/2025: We sat down and ordered drinks..we were told they had no cocktails left ... ordered different drinks and food ..Girl returned about 5 minutes later to tell us that they had no burgers left..We walked away ...No way to run a business

24/10/2025: We followed the Google ratings and recommendations and we weren't disappointed at all, for two regular-sized pizzas we paid 14.5 euros, so the price was great and the pizza was even better, we recommend it :) 🤩👌

17/10/2025: I recently went for brunch. I waited over 20 minutes at the counter while the clerks chatted calmly, oblivious to my presence. The products served were of decent quality, but I noticed that the pricing varies depending on the customer. A small group of people, obviously well-known, got special, cheap coffee. I will never go back. The clerks were harsh and unfriendly.

05/10/2025: Brioche con crema è buonissima!! I bought one first and ate at the bar, then I loved it too much. So I bought another for take away! They also have good breads! If you live in this neighborhood, don’t miss out!

12/09/2025: Excellent sushi in Trieste, all-you-can-eat lunch for €12.90. Very good quality, generous portions, and fast service. Highly recommended!

05/09/2025: The positive thing about this sushi is that it is cheaper than the average, and the quality is still quite good. The problem is the organization to get your plates. Sometimes they give you the wrong plates. And also even when there were few clients we had to wait a lot of time.

12/08/2025: I'd like to express my appreciation for this place, where I came with a friend last night for an aperitivo after a long time (I used to come here many years ago, but only in the afternoon for a coffee break and had never been there in the evening). The atmosphere is spacious and comfortable, with air conditioning inside in the summer. The decor is interesting, with several 1960s-era items (for example, a black-and-white television caught our eye). The bartenders were friendly, and the wine was excellent. I particularly enjoyed a Cabernet Franc from Corno di Rosazzo, which the bartender there recommended to me last night. The prices are reasonable. I therefore think it's fair to give it 5 stars.

08/07/2025: We stopped for a casual after-dinner drink with some friends. We had cocktails and liqueurs. As soon as we sat down at the table outside, we noticed the rudeness of the blonde waitress. When we asked, "Can you bring us an extra chair?" (There were five of us at a table for four), she replied with a curt, "NO." So, we made do. But when it was time to leave, she attacked again with a friendly tone: "We have to close, you have to go pay." Not a smile, not even a hint of joking. The whole thing ended with a nice, "I won't split the bill, one person pays for everyone." So much rudeness concentrated in one place. If you like being treated rudely, this is the place for you!

25/08/2025: We visited this place because they had a board advertising their English breakfast, which in fact was not true. They didn’t have the beans. We asked if we could just have eggs and ended paying 12 Euros for 2 scrambled eggs no spek no beans. Totally will not recommend place.

13/08/2025: A pleasant wine bistro in the center of Trieste, located within sight of the harbor and outdoor seeting facilities. We had previously visited Eataly, which is only about 100 meters away, and then relaxed at Mal del Lupo with a Spritz Bianco. As is customary in most bars in Italy, chips were served along with a few mini snacks on a wooden plate. It was enjoyable. A slight breeze made the high temperatures in Trieste (36 degrees) more bearable. The service was quick and friendly. The 4 stars are therefore well deserved.
