14/03/2025: Non siamo rimasti soddisfatti, al servizio che è stato cortese e gentile le porzioni erano molto scarse e di qualità ordinaria.

25/02/2025: And yes, I understood the "format" correctly, We wanted a hearty soup on a cold, windy day. The soup was good, but there wasn't much of it. Friendly service and family management, although the lady looked at us sternly while distributing our waste into the appropriate containers and ceramic soup bowls in the storage area. We wouldn't return, simply because we left hungry after paying over 22 euros for 2 soups, 2 small pieces of bread and a small bottle of water. The price seemed excessive for what we got.

01/05/2025: A place like many in Trieste with average coffee and croissants. What makes this place special is the attitude of the staff. 1. I go in and say "good morning" - no response 2. I wait at the counter to order a coffee, there are 7 waiters but no one even turns their head while the barman is chatting with his acquaintances. It's not the first time a situation like this has happened. But it doesn't matter, does it? Both customers and tourists are always there given the central location. If a customer never comes back, nothing changes. Really sad.

01/05/2025: Un posto molto carino nel cuore pulsante di Cavana, per cui l'atmosfera è vivace e frizzante. Il personale è sottoposto al grosso afflusso turistico, ma nonostante ciò, ieri abbiamo trovato un giovane cameriere disponibile e simpaticissimo, pronto alla battuta. Consiglio di sedersi nel piacevole dehors per un tipico "capo in b" (€ 2,50 + dragée di cioccolata), accompagnato da un baby donut rosa (€ 1,30). Ho molto apprezzato che abbiano disponibilità di dolcetti in formato "mini", qualcosa che non tutti i bar propongono. Pertanto, esperienza positiva!

30/05/2025: All good except the price. We are in an osmizza where the taxes, if there are any, are minimal and for a cutting board for 8 people (not abundant) we spent 128 euros! The restaurant cost less.

15/05/2025: It is located on the Opicina tram route and that is already a plus. Very good food. Fantastic view.

22/06/2025: Amidst the shops selling various products, there is La Piandineria, where you can quench your thirst and fill your belly.

16/06/2025: The approach with the customer definitely needs to be improved… the pizza was good and full of flavors, the bill? To be reviewed! From the wine to the beer, the pizza itself and the cover charge… too much for the quality of the whole. Too bad!

15/06/2025: We happened upon this restaurant when we were in Trieste for 3 days. The location was great, on one of the walking streets with options to sit to observe the passers by, or a quiet alley. Our waitress was so helpful, and assisted with menu choices. The food was amazing; healthy, fresh, and just right servings. I can't recommend this lovely place enough!

12/05/2025: Young staff, quite average. Lacks a culture of food care and knowing how to propose edible dishes. Pizza burned for the second time, a simple margherita, with beautiful black spots on the central part. ONCE CLEANED YOU EAT HALF OF IT. As managers, I see a lot of dishonesty, correction with sugar on the tomato, low quality ingredients, the spicy salami stinks, the ham and mushrooms salty like the Dead Sea. In comparison, vulgar answers and they are never wrong. Unavailable to the declarations of burned and CARCINOGENIC pizza, the fault of the wood oven, which exists throughout Italy and does not give these results. It goes his way, this Freddy. Brought it back and still claims that I have to eat it like this. I ask if my money was burned, and I am told that it is not necessary to do so. So why do you sell me the burned pizza? The lady, the Judas of lost causes, they should be the first to give clean food and highlight the ability of pizza makers from the south. Naples vomits when you see these pizzas. It's better to get pizza at the Cameo or Buitoni supermarket. At least it reflects the possibility of eating a healthy pizza. A good pizzeria doesn't need 4 pizzerias, the best one makes the others close, here the competition is so low that if someone does it with shoes he does it better. I recommend you try the export pizzeria in Villafranca, at least you could find something edible and made to perfection. These places like Freddy deserve to be closed if they want to operate in this way at stratospheric prices for the value of a pizza, let them go back to the south, to see if they open a pizzeria, just to test their skills. It definitely sucks. The Brooklyn long flavor remains the best chewing gum to chew. Here's big bubbles. Keep going there and you'll destroy the pizza culture. And now come and tell me it wasn't burnt!! Beautiful pizza you make. Pizza worthy of Queen Margherita!

22/06/2025: Allergens are written on the menu. Unfortunately there are not so many gluten free options available. We visited at about 1 PM on Sunday in June. The service and wait time was very fast and the pizzas were good. The grilled beef steak which I ordered as a gluten free option was awful! It had no taste at all and after chewing it for a while only a rubbery clumb was left. I do not recommed if you're planning to have a gluten free meal. In Italy they add a service free (coperto) to the bill automatically. Here it was 2,00 euros per person.

04/07/2025: Mega delicious, real Italian pizza. Baked on a stone, fast and friendly service. Prices are amazing, 2 pizzas 32cm + water came to only 10€. I recommend, I recommend, I recommend.

16/06/2025: I went with a friend of mine for an aperitif a few days ago and I don't think I'll go back. In addition to having waited well over 20 minutes to ask for something, once the waiter arrived I felt he responded rudely and without desire. Furthermore, when I asked for canapés/pizzas to accompany my aperitif I was told "well it costs €1.50, will that be a problem?" I had never encountered such indecent and ignorant treatment in any place. I strongly advise against it.

28/05/2025: Good service and good products. Their own chocolates are very good, and their pizzas are quality. Located in a central, pedestrian area of ​​the city, despite being in the center, it has easy access, a large terrace, and is divided into two very spacious floors. Good service.

14/05/2025: The place is nice near the Maggiore hospital. I wanted to eat a sandwich with tongue so we stopped here. Unfortunately the tongue was hard and a good part of it had nerves (not being very cooked they remained hard instead of melting). We reported the problem...and the answer was that another customer had also had it and had not complained!!!! I have eaten tongue in many other places here in Trieste and I have to say that here they really don't know how to make it. Maybe they will be good on the rest...I hope so!!

16/06/2025: The 3 stars are the average obtained between the exaggerated prices and the kindness and impeccable education of the waiter who served us. Monday or lunch menu convenient but not for quantity: my Caesar salad was made up of two leaves and half a chicken breast. The XXXL hamburger was not such because it was poor in seasoning... The double click was bigger. The girl who took the orders was so busy proposing the options that she accidentally forgot to tell us that for each substitution there was a supplement. Easy like that, being dishonest leads to nothing. The only positive note was precisely the service instead of the waiter who was extremely kind, friendly and polite. NOT TO BE DONE AGAIN. If you can, avoid it like the plague. Go next door, it's better,

23/05/2025: It was a dinner with friends, we all ordered different things The sandwiches arrived cold, the chicken cut also and my salad was barely acceptable, with croutons so flavored with garlic that Dracula would have died badly The staff seemed listless, slow and there was not a hint of a polite smile The bill was too high for such a low quality, both of the food and the service Last, but not least, the place was practically empty, there were maybe 7 tables..meh..

28/06/2025: Delicious desserts, tried almost everything, and of course incredible coffee - rich and aromatic. In the morning it is very noisy and there are queues at the counter due to the number of guests, but this only indicates the popularity of the establishment. The average check for 2 for coffee and pastries is 7-10 euros. You can wait a long time for a waitress at a table, but when the order is taken, it is quickly taken out.
