12/08/2025: The food was okay if a bit oily. The service was unacceptable. We had to wait almost an hour to get our food, but the separate dishes were brought to us one at a time with 10-20 minutes between them.(So we ordered some rice with chicken and the chicken was brought out almost 20 minutes later). We ordered grilled chicken with lemon sauce, but we received fried chicken instead. All in all only the Chinese beer was good honestly.

05/08/2025: VERY BAD, DON’T EAT HERE!!! We ordered 2 happy family, one happy family was for 2 persons. They served our food on the table, and put 2 bowls in front of the 2people sitting left. Two people on the right only got rice. So I asked, where is our happy family, we also ordered happy family. They said sorry it will be there in 5 minutes. They had let us pay €93!! They had put 4 happy family on the bill. One is for 2 persons so that would be for 8 persons which they gave us 🤦‍♀️ I want to warn other people, don’t eat here, you get scammed here!!

22/08/2025: Delivery was super late, but we were fooled every time we called. And we're not far from the store. We won't be ordering from here again.

20/08/2025: Clean place with a lovely atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff. But let's get to the heart of the matter: the piadinas... Delicious, with good dough and good ingredients, and the friendly staff makes it all excellent.

29/07/2025: Disturbing experience: last night, I entered the restaurant on Viale XX Settembre at 9:30 PM. The girl at the counter, after making me wait a few minutes, informed me that "they're closing." I was shocked to see the clock and pointed out that it was half an hour before closing time (10:00 PM). There was no way, I couldn't sit down because "they must be out by 10:00 AM" (and the bathroom was inaccessible due to cleaning). I already knew about this city's notorious "desire to work," but this episode exceeded my expectations. I don't think there's another place on earth where 9:30 PM is too late to serve a piadina (certainly not anywhere else in Italy).

23/08/2025: The pizza was awful, the dough was hard, the waiters were slow and strange, the selection of wines on the menu wasn't there, I looked at it 3-4 years ago and it got much worse, in my opinion it's worth avoiding.

20/08/2025: I always come here with my aunt for pizza because it's incredibly good and easy to digest. Today I ordered a dish from the restaurant, and it confirms the excellent cuisine, variety, and attention to detail. They offer both tasty treats and healthy, light dishes. Smiles and helpful staff rounded out this pleasant lunch break.

30/06/2025: Honestly, I think there is no better sushi in Trieste, and maybe even in the whole Triveneto. Top staff, especially the owner Gianluca, mouth-watering food. Thanks Gianluca, we will be back!

08/08/2025: Very good place for coffee or a quick/easy lunch. They served coffee, beer and drinks. Very good quality of service and overall a good experience. The only thing I could complain about is the toilets which were hard to lock and were located in an unusual place.

06/08/2025: €5 for a white spritz? A historic and excellent pastry shop in Trieste, with a long tradition and quality products. However, it's a shame to see how the influence of tourism has led to unaffordable prices for residents: €5 for a white spritz is truly excessive. With these prices, many Triestini will prefer to have an aperitivo elsewhere.

01/05/2025: A place like many in Trieste with average coffee and croissants. What makes this place special is the attitude of the staff. 1. I go in and say "good morning" - no response 2. I wait at the counter to order a coffee, there are 7 waiters but no one even turns their head while the barman is chatting with his acquaintances. It's not the first time a situation like this has happened. But it doesn't matter, does it? Both customers and tourists are always there given the central location. If a customer never comes back, nothing changes. Really sad.

01/05/2025: Un posto molto carino nel cuore pulsante di Cavana, per cui l'atmosfera è vivace e frizzante. Il personale è sottoposto al grosso afflusso turistico, ma nonostante ciò, ieri abbiamo trovato un giovane cameriere disponibile e simpaticissimo, pronto alla battuta. Consiglio di sedersi nel piacevole dehors per un tipico "capo in b" (€ 2,50 + dragée di cioccolata), accompagnato da un baby donut rosa (€ 1,30). Ho molto apprezzato che abbiano disponibilità di dolcetti in formato "mini", qualcosa che non tutti i bar propongono. Pertanto, esperienza positiva!

28/07/2025: Abbiamo cenato con amici, vasta scelta di piatti, ottima la qualità dei salumi, carme ottima e ben preparata, personale gentile e prezzi adeguato alla qualità. Bella location immersa del verde e tranquillità. Veramente bravi. Ci torneremo di sicuro.

13/07/2025: Il posto è molto bello ma la cucina da incubo, organizzati malissimo, abbiamo aspettato 2 ore per ricevere le portate, che sono arrivate sbagliate (hanno consegnato i secondi al posto dei primi), il pollo era crudo e gocciolava il sangue, camerieri scortesi. Mai più!!

We came as a family—one of us is vegetarian—and we politely asked if it was possible to order the set menu for two and, for the vegetarian, choose something à la carte (since there were very few vegetarian options). The response was surprisingly rude: we were told we had to sit at separate tables if we wanted to order something else. We explained that we were a family and simply wanted to eat together, but the waitress responded coldly and curtly, then turned and left without offering any alternatives. Any internal rule of a restaurant can be communicated respectfully, if they truly care about their customers and the reviews they leave. It would have been enough to say, for example, "I'm sorry, I understand that you're a family, but unfortunately we have these rules. I hope you understand." A little politeness would have been enough to find a solution. Instead, we had a very negative experience: terrible service, a cold and unwelcoming atmosphere. That evening, there were only two tables occupied—the place seemed deserted and devoid of energy. We left without even trying the food. I don't recommend it at all.

Any rule can be communicated with respect, especially if you care about your customers and the image of your restaurant. Something like: "I'm sorry, I understand your situation, but unfortunately we have this policy" would’ve been enough. A little kindness would have made all the difference. The place itself was another disappointment: the room was dark and gloomy, nothing like the bright, cozy photos shown online. The restaurant is hidden in a shadowy side street near the main square — not welcoming at all. And the waitress… instead of greeting us, she walked around as if annoyed by our very presence, almost irritated that tourists dared to enter. There were barely any locals — a red flag in itself. We left without even trying the food. Extremely negative experience. We won’t return and cannot recommend it.

03/08/2025: A very positive experience. Very kind and patient staff. Prices aren't cheap, but that's fine for what you get—the piadinas are delicious and filling. A little more mayonnaise would be perfect. Thanks!

16/08/2025: A nice beer (ichnusa non filtrata) in the shade on the terrace during the extreme heat. Served with two kinds of chips. Absolutely delicious!

12/08/2025: The prices on the menu didn’t correspond with the prices on the bill, because there was 1€ added to every item, which we were not aware about beforehand. But the prices were still good, Aperol being 5,50€ and pasta dishes 9,50€. You get a bowl of complementary chips as well. The waiter was very impatient and slightly rude, but food and drinks still arrived quickly. The atmosphere was nice because it was in the middle of the pedestrian zone.
