04/04/2025: It's the first time I've been there under the new management. I tried the pizza, not bad, but nothing special, but when you were used to Tazebao with the pizzas, the crocks, the craft beer, the spicy oil made by them... there's no story! The environment has remained the same, the furnishings, the crockery, nothing has been changed, but the atmosphere is no longer the same, it seemed a little messy or perhaps not well looked after, colder, perhaps also because there were very few people (only a couple with 2 little girls who were running around and playing in the room...). The pizza wasn't bad, but not enough to make me want to go back for it. Next time I will definitely try the Roman cuisine, which I think is their forte, because a second chance is due 🙂

13/03/2025: Quite unexpected in the "far east" of Italy to find so many unparalleled roman style cuisine dishes like Coda alla Vaccinara, Puntarelle, Cacio e Pepe, Cicoria Ripassata, etc. Sora Bea ("Madame Bea") will cook for you on the spot perfect food and will let you feel like in the best off the beaten track restaurant of Trastevere (Rome). The atmosphere as well will teleport you much further south to the capital of Italy. P.S. Did I forget to mention they also have a wonderful pizza oven that will please the most demanding tastes for a perfectly cooked Neapolitan (not Roman - get the difference!) Pizza? Absolutely recommended if you want to try delicious typical Roman food.

29/12/2024: Locale accogliente e caldo nell'atmosfera, cibi ben preparati( abbiamo preso carpaccio di cervo, una zuppa di zucca-più di una semplice zuppa- un primo di pasta Carciofo e un petto d'anatra, e vino al calice)...buoni e saporiti, prezzo adeguato... Una sola pecca: alcuni, pochi, tavoli tavoli hanno delle sedie di legno, belle a vedersi, ma scomodissime, e cuscini che scivolano....se hai un minimo di problemi alla schiena, quando ti alzi sei abbastanza dolorante, e dopo un'ora non vedi l'ora di alzarti...

02/12/2024: Il locale è situato nel centro storico di Trieste, all'interno del ghetto ebraico, a nostro parere ancora una delle zone più suggestive della città. Passeggiando per questo piccolo dedalo di viuzze, ci siamo imbattuti in questo ristorante e appena letto, nel menù all’esterno, la presenza della Jota triestina (zuppa tipica di crauti fermentati e fagioli) abbiamo immediatamente prenotato per la sera successiva. A differenza di altri recensori, ci siamo trovati molto bene. Premesso che se si volesse optare per il pesce ci sarebbe il ristorante difronte (sempre dello stesso titolare), qui abbiamo trovato un ambiente carino, un cameriere gentile e professionale, del buon cibo (ci sono piaciute molto la Jota triestina, e i secondi di carne: la Calandraca e la Porcina cotta alla brace), ottimo vino rosso consigliato e al bicchiere e per finire uno zabaglione da applausi. Anche il costo appartiene sicuramente a una fascia di qualità superiore, mentre noi lo abbiamo trovato nella media. Non abbiamo nulla da lamentare, anzi saremmo tornati la sera successiva se non fosse che il locale era chiuso. Occorre prenotare perché non è grande come locale, ma ne vale la pena se si resta in centro-citta'.

10/02/2025: Oggi ennesimo episodio di disorganizzazione e maleducazione. Colpita da forte emicrania, opto per comprare la merenda a mio figlio direttamente in panificio anziché prepararla. Davanti a me solo una persona già servita e ben 4 commesse dietro al banco. Arriva una consegna e in due si dedicano a salutare caldamente il ragazzo mollando la clientela. Le altre due, molto somiglianti al punto che ritengo essere sorelle, dai capelli corti e il viso affilato (non quanto la lingua di una), continuano una a servire lentamente l'unica persona prima di me, l'altra a servire nuovi entrati incurante della nostra presenza (eravamo proprio davanti al bancone, non nascosti!). Faccio notare che sarebbe stato il mio turno senza alcuna veemenza e la commessa "occupata" inizia a scagliarsi su di me urlando davanti a tutti prima di stare tranquilla che tanto serviranno tutti e poi (una volta rispostole che la scuola non aspetta e che lavoro anche io allo sportello e una delle cose da fare è osservare chi arriva prima) che potevo svegliarmi più presto per non avere questo problema. Sacchetto e soldi del resto consegnati in malo modo senza salutare. Non ci andrò mai più pur essendo vicino casa. Capisco perché il mio compagno pochi giorni fa mi ha detto che guarda sempre chi c'è in turno per valutare se fare colazione lì o meno.

13/03/2025: Food ok, service ok, price a disaster. Grill chicken + french fries = 13 euros. There is no receipt, but it is written by hand on paper. Avoid.

04/01/2025: Dishes made exclusively of fresh fish, excellent raw fish, first courses made with fresh pasta, to try and return because it is not like going to a normal restaurant but going and returning where you feel welcomed by old friends. Prices more than fair for what you eat.

14/12/2024: The seating is only outside. The place is on a nice street, so the view is ok. There is just one guy who makes the food, so we had to wait quite a while (around 40 minutes or more) to get our food (a group of 4 people). So this is not a “fast food” place. We ordered club sandwiches and chicken wraps; both had huge, thick tomato pieces in them. Overall they tasted good, but nothing special. The portions were really big, which was nice.

16/11/2024: It looks like a nice fast food place, the owner was cleaning it meticulously, when I was there. TIP: Fewer dishes to offer and more attention to fried foods, which are a good comfort food for most. Plus, I could propose to you 3 FRYING MIXES: MEAT MIX (a little chicken, onion rings, cheese, olives, American potatoes,...), MIXED FISH (a little cod, calamari, onion, cheese, olives, potatoes), e MIXED VEGETABLES (with cheese?) Maybe a little more work, but an interesting bag of different flavors comes out.. Display it as a special offer on the counter and with an appropriate price, success is guaranteed!

03/04/2025: I quit because some colleagues are violent, and it is impossible to work with them. Is it possible that, with the excuse of "joking" we provoke each other and then get really pissed off? Is it possible that, kindness here is thrown away in favor of those who then in many different episodes offend others, or those who with sloth burden much of their work on others? Bah, too bad, because I really like this restaurant; it has an excellent scene, well decorated and the seats have a very pleasant look, also considering the sturdy pillars supporting a magnificent building. It's also quite elegant and the food is very good... As I was saying, however, it is impossible to be kind, given the attitude of certain colleagues who, then continue to work there undaunted... I am astonished at how I should change and not the others, how, I should be the one to leave leaving room for those who have frequent outbursts of anger and can't even handle more than a certain amount of stress without having frequent outbursts of anger, as well as starting to threaten others, and offend left and right... In reality, in the end, I worked in a hostile environment, often entering despite my greeting, someone responded... I may be wrong to feel enthusiastic about what I do.

02/04/2025: Rude staff, burnt lasagna and full of cheese. I don't recommend this place to anyone, rather go and eat at a kebab shop or a poor pizzeria but never come to this place

06/04/2025: qualité des produits plutôt moyenne, service très peu accueillant. Nous avions l'impression que notre présence dérangeait le serveur... Il y a sûrement j'espère d'autres restaurants bien mieux sur Trieste qui mérite d'être visiter. C'est une ville magnifique.
