07/11/2025: My partner and I had the most amazing night drinking superb wines at this charming little enoteca. The manager Enrico is patient, and served not just brilliant wines but also took the time to teach us about their origins. If you are in search of amazing wines, I strongly recommend Il Vinotecario.

02/11/2025: A lovely little spot to enjoy a good glass (or bottle) in peace and quiet, with the support of the excellent Enrico. The selection of appetizers is also excellent to accompany (and serve as an aperitif, in my case).

21/12/2025: My child and I stopped by chance for a quick matcha and cake. We sat outside and were served by a very friendly and positive young guy with curly hair and glasses who spoke English. The matcha was top notch and exceeded expectations. The service was very professional and welcoming. We recommend

18/11/2025: I hadn't been to this bar in a long time... but it was disappointing. My mom and I had a coffee at the counter and took it to the small table with the high stools, but my mom, having fallen a few days earlier, still had pain in her leg and couldn't get up on the wooden stool, so we took the coffees to the table with the normal chairs. We told them we'd sit there because my mom couldn't sit on the high stool... then we took the two cups back to the counter and they charged us a whopping €4.80 for the two coffees!!!... I didn't say anything because I was speechless... we carried the coffees up and down ourselves. Without service and they charged us for service?? Absurd....... Never again

06/10/2025: We stumbled upon this place quite by chance a few nights ago. The place is really cozy and has a wonderful, elegant feel. The food was simply delicious, and the staff was super friendly and very attentive. We really enjoyed our time here. Hopefully, we'll be back soon!

25/12/2025: Very friendly and attentive service. The place is charming and the food is delicious. We went without a reservation and they didn't hesitate to find us a table for dinner (we only waited 5 minutes). It's pet-friendly (like almost everywhere in Trieste) and their tiramisu was a very pleasant surprise. Highly recommended!

06/01/2026: This place seems plucked from one of the most popular cities... and yet it's stuck there, in Duino, between a castle, an international college, and the Rilke Trail. Yet it exudes an urban, lively, contemporary atmosphere—which is far from a given in a place where bars can be counted on one hand. Inside, it's comfortable: furnished halfway between traditional and pop, with weathered wooden tables, colorful interiors mixed with real wood, and beautiful photos on the walls, with stories told by a rightfully proud host. It's one of those places that don't make a scene by chance: they're cared for with heart, warmth, and irony—real stuff. Intelligent management, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, never pretentious. If you arrive in Duino via the Rilke Trail, this is the right place to stop: recover, have a drink, maybe even eat, and take heart before heading back. If even big cities had this spirit, this management, and this warmth more often, they'd probably be better places. Here, meanwhile, it works very well.

01/02/2026: Delicious food and welcoming staff. Renovated restaurant just minutes from the city center, the view and green spaces make it feel like you're out of town. Ample parking in front and outdoor space for the warmer months. Excellent prices. Highly recommended!

03/01/2026: Paid too much for the service received. Had a Christmas dinner with friends. Left a €10 deposit per person 10 days before the dinner. We ate roast platters, two first courses (gnocchi and vegetable pie), and a second course of roast (very thin 1cm slice) with polenta. The food wasn't excellent. Dessert of our choice wasn't included in the set menu. We didn't ask for extra wine. I bought 1 grappa each and 6 coffees. We added €40.25 per person, not including the €10 deposit. There were 16 of us. Total €804. They even wanted 25 cents per person... madness. They kicked everyone out at 10:45 PM on Saturday, December 20th. I won't be returning. It's a shame because, being a farmhouse, it all seems excessive to me.

08/10/2025: I highly recommend Bivium Bar & Food! The food is excellent, with tasty dishes and always fresh and well-filled sandwiches/toasts. Service is incredibly fast: perfect for both a quick lunch break and an aperitif. The staff is always friendly and smiling, and the owner is truly charming and welcoming. I'll definitely be back!

09/11/2025: You wait with a ticket, everyone is in a hurry, your number is not on the screen. I advise against it, the service is a disaster.... So much so that I don't even know what the sweets are like. They looked good...

20/10/2025: I bought two small Sacher Torte. One white, and one black: very, very dry... The Sacher Torte was missing the jam, too dry! - The quality has gone down significantly... I paid a lot, €30... €12 for two small pieces of pizza, it was rock hard, inedible... Very hard, crunchy. €12 too much! That thing shouldn't have been sold. The two small Sacher Torte are a small cugno. The tiramisu maritozzi were saved. The Sacher Torte is supposed to be made of two layers of light chocolate sponge cake with a thin layer of apricot jam in the center. Where was the jam? You can't sell a pizza that hard, I couldn't chew it! Honestly, I've eaten better and wasted €30. Too expensive, but the pizzas were inedible, rock hard... Beautiful desserts, but I don't think I'll be back...
