04/04/2025: Wir haben in den palace suites des hotel Continental gewohnt und am Abend das Restaurant aufgesucht. Die fusilli waren mit mit einer meeresfrüchte sauce angepriesen. Das schlechteste was ich jemals in italien gegessen habe. Auf den ungesalzenen völlig geschmacklos en Nudeln war nur eine Sorte Fisch. Ein trockener schwertfisch ohne Tomatensauce ohne Gewürze. Schlicht eine Frechheit. Das Service war sehr freundlich sie konnte nichts dafür, das der Koch absolut unfähig ist. Dagmar aus Österreich

27/02/2025: Alloggiati in hotel continentale decidiamo di cenare al ristorante attiguo. Gli unici commensali io e mio marito per tutta la serata. Mi portano un piatto di spaghetti dopo 20 minuti salatissimi che mangio in quanto era ormai tardi e stanchi dal viaggio. Quando il cameriere chiede se va tutto bene dico che gli spaghetti erano molto salati. Ritorna portanti le scuse dello chef che ha verificato ed effettivamente erano salati. Avrebbero potuto levarli dal conto, quello altrettanto salato. Le altre sere abbiamo cenato fuori, passando davanti era sempre vuoto. Forse devono rivedere qualcosa….

23/02/2025: SHAMEFUL SERVICE. Table of 10 people. The waiters confused the orders due to poor internal communication. Although the inconvenience was understandable for the entire table, the waiter, in an attempt to fix the situation, asked for advance payment for drinks not yet received, which also arrived about an hour after the order. No problem, after all, making mistakes is human. The most embarrassing part occurs when, finally, the waiter (tall, brown-haired, with a beard) approaches the table to take stock of the situation. Despite the inconvenience caused to all the customers, he asks for the umpteenth time what had been paid and what had not, and rudely responds to a sarcastic joke made by the undersigned, who invited the other customers (NOT THE WAITER) to create an Excel file to keep track of the drinks. With a threatening tone and look, the waiter declared that jokes were not acceptable nor would they help solve the problem, triggering an argument with myself, only because I asked him to remain calm. I wonder if it's normal to treat a customer this way, especially when the fault lies with the waiters. Perhaps they preferred a more complaining behavior rather than the climate of understanding that the WHOLE table maintained despite the discomfort? I suggest instructing waiters to treat customers, or rather people in general, with a minimum of politeness. Scenes like this are shameful. I will not return, and I will advise anyone considering going to MAST to do the same. Food 1: 10 people, more than one drink each, and not a single chip. Environment 1: The only heat source for the tables outside is a 20x10cm large heating bulb, which heats only one table out of approximately 10.

26/09/2024: Buon ristorante di pesce un po’ nascosto in via Orsera vicino al canile dove potete mangiare pesce in tranquillità. Posto anche all’aperto, il proprietario è molto gentile e cortese . Buono il vino e prezzi conformi alla qualità del cibo. Da provare.

29/03/2025: Sartoria has recently changed management and I hadn't been there yet. The sandwiches from the previous management were good, but nothing exceptional. Last night's sandwich was amazing: finally a smash burger, perfectly cooked hamburgers, very crunchy bacon, chips included with the sandwich, very good, super crunchy and above all, not just two chips but a nice portion. The guys are very kind, super fast service, I'm really excited. Sandwich and chips €15, price in line considering that we're also talking about the center and really excellent quality, you can see that they pay particular attention to detail. Last night they gained two new customers, we'll definitely be back! P.S. A note of merit to the girl at the cash register (short black hair with glasses - I don't know her name unfortunately) for her kindness and friendliness.

09/03/2025: Como recomendó el conserje en nuestro (excelente) hotel en Trieste, esto fue acogedor, buena comida, super elección de vinos por copa y buena relación calidad-precio. ¿Qué más se puede pedir? Tuvimos una comida variada y magníficamente ejecutada - el sarro de ternera y el pollo lento - cocinado eran ambos sobresalientes - y cuando el conserje del hotel y sus colegas llegaron para su almuerzo, entendimos su recomendación! No lo dudes.

The elegance of the staff in serving the dishes envelops you in an experience that overwhelms you, the quality of the raw materials and the refinement of their preparation is worthy of a Michelin star. Fine and delicate surroundings accompany you on a refined food and wine journey. The wine cellar, thanks also to the suggestions of the sommelier, accompanied our dinner, marrying flavors and smells in an excellent way. Here you don't eat, but travel with your mind and taste buds. The friendliness of the owner then drags you into a serene and comfortable atmosphere. Here Chef Barbieri just has to get up, compliment him and suggest him on every television show. Thank you very much for the experience.

08/04/2025: I was recommended to visit this place as they have tasty food. When we arrived the male waiter was not happy as we brought baby with us. He did not want to provide high chair and put us at the table next to the entrance of toilet where it was impossible to park the trolley. He was cussing and using bad words so we did not feel safe and happy about the place. I would absolutely NOT recommend this place as the costumer service is one of the worst in the Italy.

08/04/2025: Small restaurant in the center of Trieste, tables also available outdoors. Friendly welcome from the owner who we pleasantly found again after a few years. Appetizer of creamed cod and au gratin. Busara tagliolini and gnocchi with catch of the day as first courses. Fried fish as a second course. Generous portions and above all of excellent quality and taste. The service staff attentive and kind. Excellent quality/price ratio.

25/03/2025: Nuova gestione, locale sempre uguale, semplice, pulito, accogliente. Tagliere per 2 molto abbondante, salumi e vino ottimi. Lo conosco da decenni e ci troviamo sempre bene. Camminata digestiva sulla Napoleonica tra rocce, verde e silenzi. Il top!

26/12/2024: The ambience has a somewhat coarse, not to say morbid, charm. The Italian regular audience consists of the 70+ generation and a few young people who go for a beer. There are snacks, dolci, ice cream, coffee specialties, draft and bottled beer, as well as Prosecco, by the glass or in a liter carafe. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly and quick to serve. There is a guest garden that is separated from the street with wild wine. There is a second garden behind the restaurant. The furniture in the restaurant is a bit old, but was probably built to last and, together with the slot machines, adds to the atmosphere. We have been here several times on our hikes and we always liked it. When purchasing the carafe of Prosecco, ask about the price in advance; there was a misunderstanding on our last visit.

01/10/2024: We were there after dinner ... we were looking for a place to drink a good beer on the occasion of the same party ..... with great surprise at around midnight we entered here ... and I must honestly say that the employee welcomed us and welcomed us served with pleasure, which is not to be taken for granted given the time...also bringing us appetizers...you will say it should be a rule...but...I assure you...it is almost never like this...excellent bar and I will definitely return even during the day... to enjoy a good coffee with the same smile as that evening.
