The food is excellent, with tasty dishes and always fresh and well-filled sandwiches/toasts. Service is incredibly fast: perfect for both a quick lunch break and an aperitif. The staff is always friendly and smiling, and the owner is truly charming and welcoming.
I'll definitely be back!

25/08/2026: After visiting Duino Castle, we stopped by to get a coffee and some soft drinks.
Our biggest issue was with the lady behind the counter. At first, she refused to take our order simply because we were speaking English. No matter how many times we tried to ask her something or get her attention, she completely ignored us. It was very clear, that she did not want to deal with us at all.
In the end, we did not give up and eventually managed to place our order, but she served us in a very condescending and dismissive manner.
14/07/2026: I think the cafe might have technically been closed, but Dimitri (the owner) was outside chatting on the phone. He ended his call and invited us in. Prepared me an awesome coffee and tasty sandwich. And my gf grabbed an ice cream. We proceeded to sit outside, the three of us, chatting for the next 45 minutes or so. Dimitri told us all about the area and the many generations his family has lived in around Trieste. He also told us how to get to a nearby lookout with an amazing view, which didn't disappoint. I'm so glad we stopped at how establishment. Thanks so much, Dimitri!

04/08/2026: Being regulars at Lyfe for many years, we were apprehensive about the recent change of ownership. Although the Bar retains its friendly service and relaxed atmosphere, we found that the lack of complimentary tartine, chips, peanuts, olives etc that had previously accompanied their drinks, have now been replaced by tasteless popcorn and some roasted corn kernels. Most disappointing was the noticeably reduced amount of alcohol used in their cocktails. Given its location, this bar will always be popular but we miss the old Lyfe.

09/08/2026: While passing through the area, I found this wonderful agriturismo...what can I say? The mixed antipasto was excellent (the prosciutto was out of this world). Ivana and Alice are super nice and helpful, and they made my meal even better (don't change, girls!)
02/08/2026: Everything was just awesome. This place is lovely, pure gold. They run their own restaurant in weekends offering local specialities of the local cuisine. Even though they were fully booked, they promptly added another for us. The meal they served us is just one of a kind. An unforgettable experince!
We spent here 5 days in their very good equiped apartment with a great rural vibe.
Very kind, honest and warm people.
Looking forward to seeing you again!
