20/02/2026: I'm very sorry, because this has always been a place that has given me so much. I used to come here to climb and afterward we'd all sit together. Today, four slices of ham, four pieces of cheese, and three small pieces of bread cost the same as in the center of Florence. I understand the increases, but despite it being San Daniele, the price seems a bit high. I honestly don't want to dwell on other details. It will always be a beautiful place, but honestly, based on my experience, which can be seen from the plate and the receipt, it seems a bit too high. It's comparable to sitting in a restaurant, all that's missing is the cover charge.
16/02/2026: When you come from panorama drive/walk immediately this small restaurant is waiting for you with great coffee, sandwiches and sweets ! It was really nice pit stop!

02/12/2025: A pub with excellent food! We went to Sax Pub around 11 pm, with about 15 people, without a reservation. They managed to accommodate us despite the lack of advance notice. The sandwiches are delicious, some truly enormous! The quality of the meat is excellent, and the burgers are all homemade.
A great place to grab a good sandwich, with some vegetarian options, though none of us chose them. I highly recommend this intimate place. They even offered us limoncello at the end of the meal!
28/11/2025: I order sandwiches from them every now and then. They're fantastic. The pub sax is excellent. Must try!

03/05/2026: We chose this restaurant because buffets are traditional in Trieste. Having been to a few before, this one felt more like a restaurant than a real buffet, perhaps because we went for lunch.
The food was really good; we had potato croquettes with goulash (a portion for two), a roast pork, and a cutlet stuffed with cheese and ham (I don't remember the Triestine name).
The price was average for Trieste.

08/06/2026: Had a very bad experience.
We came for lunch, tourists. We ordered a few things. I calculated how much we had to pay. When i arrived at the cashier. I was told a much higher price. When i looked at the receipt. The prices were 1-2 euros higher for EACH item we ordered. The prices on the menu they gave us DO NOT match up.
The food was dry and too salty. The toast was overbaked.
I would never go here again.

We tried the international-style breakfast, both sweet and savory, and found it truly excellent!!
The restaurant has a thoughtful design and the atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing, plus the staff was very friendly and professional.
A well-deserved five stars. We'll definitely be back!

17/05/2026: After visiting the Grotta Gigante, I walked to this charming restaurant for lunch. I ordered a Margherita pizza, and it was absolutely fresh and delicious—bursting with flavour. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. Plus, it was very affordable, offering great value for such quality food. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!
13/05/2026: There were eight of us at the €18 pizza round (drinks not included). What can I say? The pizzas were delicious, we ordered ten to try as many as possible. On the first round, you could only choose the classic pizzas, while from the second round, you could choose all of them. The mortadella and the one with sausage and burrata were very good, and the classic diavola was also excellent. Very fast service and very friendly staff. Highly recommended.
