01/03/2026: We used to frequent Buffet Vita often and had a pretty good time, until one evening last summer, when we went there for our usual sandwich, sat down, they set the table for us, and the kind owner came to order. Only then did she inform us that every (Wednesday?) in the summer they ONLY serve seafood. Once we were seated, we ordered, and ended up spending the same amount as at a high-end seafood restaurant. The food was still good and the fish was fresh, but honestly, we felt a bit trapped.

20/03/2026: Super fluffy pizzas, just like in Naples. Great vegan options (Pizza Marinara, Pasta al Pomodoro, Salad).
One of the best pizzas I've ever eaten!
The waitress was very friendly and funny. We'll definitely be back! ☺️
09/03/2026: Friends and I came for dinner. We ordered. Half an hour later, the waitress returned and said something was broken and the order had been lost, and we needed to reorder.
We waited an hour and a half for the food 😵💫 and they brought us bread as an apology for the long wait. :///
The fried squid and fish were terrible. The pizza, with its huge sides, was very mediocre. Some of our orders were forgotten, and some weren't even cooked yet, so they brought us takeaways, like calzones, which had been topped with sauce, as it turned out, to hide the burnt dough, which was raw inside.
The evening was ruined. :///

02/03/2026: The most authentic Italian restaurant I've ever seen. Incredibly good pasta and an ambiance that's simply breathtaking. And the prices are absolutely fair. If you're in Trieste, you have to go here.

06/12/2025: The atmosphere is dated; we left smelling like cooking. The location is stellar, but inside, it feels like a step back in time to the '70s. As for the food, I have to say the starters and main courses were good, and the side dishes were awful... A stringy braised beef and the potatoes "in tecia" were outrageous.

10/12/2025: Our first contact with the people of Trieste was impeccable.
Very friendly staff.
They told me what beer to drink.
Very nice rolls with whatever you want on top to eat.
And the wine was impeccable.
The bad thing for us who came on Monday night is that the shop is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, they do well to rest, but we will come to you again in the future.
Our love from Greece and Babbo Natale if you remember us.

20/02/2026: I'm very sorry, because this has always been a place that has given me so much. I used to come here to climb and afterward we'd all sit together. Today, four slices of ham, four pieces of cheese, and three small pieces of bread cost the same as in the center of Florence. I understand the increases, but despite it being San Daniele, the price seems a bit high. I honestly don't want to dwell on other details. It will always be a beautiful place, but honestly, based on my experience, which can be seen from the plate and the receipt, it seems a bit too high. It's comparable to sitting in a restaurant, all that's missing is the cover charge.
16/02/2026: When you come from panorama drive/walk immediately this small restaurant is waiting for you with great coffee, sandwiches and sweets ! It was really nice pit stop!

07/03/2026: I've been to this pizzeria twice.
The first time I got takeout pizza, and even though it was cold, it was still good, so I was satisfied.
The second time, however, the experience wasn't as positive: the dough seemed stale and underworked, and the pizza was tough, so much so that it was difficult to even cut and eat. The atmosphere also didn't feel very welcoming, which made the overall experience less pleasant.

08/12/2025: I had dinner last night at Vecio Buffet Marasciutti, a restaurant that's been open since the early 1900s and is a true Trieste institution.
I don't have any photos of the dishes, because every time the dish arrived, all I could do was savor the moment. And that's the real strength: the food was a delight with every forkful, a thrill of authentic flavors.
The atmosphere is typical, timeless, and pleasant.
The service is simple, simple, and friendly.
I think Vecio Buffet Marascutti is a must-see for anyone in Trieste. Go there and prepare to leave your phone in your pocket.
PS: Reservations, if not required, are highly recommended.

23/12/2025: It was my first time there, and it was a fantastic experience. I'll definitely repeat it. The place is very spacious and well-decorated, yet simple. Customers are welcomed right away, and the dishes start arriving in less than 10 minutes!
I chose ALL YOU CAN EAT, so I gradually chose and ordered the dishes from the tablet I had on the table!
The food was very good quality, the flavors were very distinct, and the dishes were balanced!

13/12/2025: We arrived late (about half an hour before closing) and without a reservation, but we were served well and quickly. The food was well-prepared and the portions were adequate. Prices were average, and the quality was above average. A place to mark in your diary, but without a reservation, you risk not getting a table because it's always packed (the food is really good).

07/11/2025: My partner and I had the most amazing night drinking superb wines at this charming little enoteca. The manager Enrico is patient, and served not just brilliant wines but also took the time to teach us about their origins. If you are in search of amazing wines, I strongly recommend Il Vinotecario.
02/11/2025: A lovely little spot to enjoy a good glass (or bottle) in peace and quiet, with the support of the excellent Enrico.
The selection of appetizers is also excellent to accompany (and serve as an aperitif, in my case).

26/01/2026: Our favorite café in Trieste. We always go there with our dog and there are no problems. They never burn the coffee and it's always delicious. Valeria is always very friendly, as are all the staff, and she always gives our dog a little biscuit.
21/01/2026: I had an excellent salad (arugula, lettuce, tuna, eggs, carrots, corn, mozzarella, tomato, olives) and a bottle of water at a truly unbeatable price! Very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

27/12/2025: Generous portions... and the ghibla grows! 🍖 The menu is a true paradise for hardcore carnivores.
If you're vegetarian, you can get by with the excellent side dishes, or, a tip, call ahead: they're happy to accommodate your needs upon request. Recommended for those who are very hungry!
