04/08/2024: I leave 5 stars given that my experience was absolutely positive, the two waiters were very kind and very friendly without being forced. My only comment (I hope constructive) is that I would lower the price of the mixed fried food (very good and of good quality) but at 24 euros I expected a little more fish and a little less vegetables. Starters with octopus and cuttlefish were very good, the pasta dishes seen among the tables looked excellent with generous portions, but I didn't taste them.

29/07/2024: 5 diners, Sunday evening. We find ourselves choosing this restaurant intrigued by the menu and the good location (almost) on the seafront. Having not booked before, we hoped to be able to eat outside, without success, even though there were free seats just to be reordered. The staff is made up of two people, one of whom is quite haughty and professional only in words, the other very courteous and more helpful. Thinking of sharing some dishes as we are not too hungry, we initially order 2 first courses, a tasting of appetizers to share and an off-menu appetizer, including a bottle of wine and 2 waters. We wait just over 30 minutes. The two first courses (simple spaghetti with tomato and a guitar with clams and mussels) without infamy without praise; the tasting, described as an acclaimed tasting of all the appetizers on the menu, at the "very modest" price of 28 euros, is very limited (1 measly forkful per portion) and not all the courses mentioned are present at all. We point this out to the waiter, who cannot give us an answer, who assures us to ask for more information in the kitchen. Never happened. Taken by the discouragement of the first courses and having consumed 3 bags of bread (paid handsomely in the cover charge) we decide to order another mixed fry and a grilled fish (more expensive and easily shareable dishes). The fried food comes in the right portion but is very greasy and heavy, while the grilled food is very poor, tasteless and we had to ask for lemon 3 times. We ended up communicating our disagreement with the service to the waiter but any extenuating circumstances were deflected by offering us 3 limoncellos. Total dinner €173.50: 5 covers x €2.50 4 waters x €3.50 1 wine €25 1 pasta with tomato sauce €13 1 guitar clams and mussels €18 1 tasting of appetizers €28 1 starter off the menu around €20 1 mixed fried dish €24 1 mixed grill €25 I conclude by adding that this review was carried out only for the fact that all the diners present at the table work or manage catering facilities therefore we claim transparency and loyalty towards the customer. Disappointing and the two diners who consumed the fried food became ill shortly afterwards.

25/08/2024: Good and well stuffed hamburger sandwich. Good draft beers of various types. The only flaw is that the stairs are not well lit. The kind owner found us two seats despite having many reservations.

23/08/2024: Top sandwich shop! One of the few remaining top level in Trieste. Huge sandwiches, prices lower than average. The menu is also more varied than in the past. Fantastic cheese, super bread and wow chips. It's just a shame that they don't do takeaway due to lack of staff.

25/08/2024: A mess. Table inside with insufficient air conditioning for the room, it was very hot. An hour for water and two for a pasta that is nothing short of shameful. Too bad that's not all, the staff was exaggeratedly rude, after two hours a person at the table asks how much longer is left for the food, she is told: "15 of you came without booking, we have a full place", too bad that they could not even accept the table unless it was within their clear management possibilities. I pointed this out and he questioned the wait, which he said was "only an hour". I attach photos of the first one.

18/08/2024: I have often come to this place but like the last time never. Service is completely absent, things requested are forgotten, dishes arrive with absurd waiting times. It's a shame, the food is certainly good but we need to work a lot on the service in every sense. The other evening there was coffee, 2 evenings later we don't make coffee in the evening, this is the answer

27/07/2024: This place was a quaint and beautiful dream on Earth! My partner and I stayed here for a few nights and had a wonderful experience from check-in to check-out, thanks to Alex! Would highly recommend :)

10/03/2024: As a start, many different small appetizers: all excellent. Afterwards, a 3 KG OMBRINA WITH POTATOES, there were 8 of us, excellent in all respects, cooking, taste, a delight. Homemade desserts better than in the pastry shop. At the end coffee, liqueur. Service staff like being with family. Final price more than honest To be visited often. .

26/08/2024: .. the new management is also impeccable! Customers of the "La rosa dei venti" restaurant for many years, my family and I wanted to return for a birthday to this place under the new management, and we were happy to find the same quality and passion that we have always found before. "Few" but well-structured dishes, beautiful presentations, excellent quality, generous portions, a pinch of innovation and a lot of friendliness from the dining room staff. The environment has also been renovated, with a fresher and younger touch. We will gladly return other times!

07/07/2024: Beautiful location, view... adventurous driveway... still manageable at 7 meters... got 2 seats without a reservation... food is very, very tasty 😋

07/07/2024: This is probably the strangest campsite I've ever been to; it's more like a dormitory since most people live here permanently. It's quite cramped. We had a tent and a car, and we were placed by the road. The ground is gravel, making it difficult to set up the tent, especially considering we have expensive equipment. The sanitary conditions are very poor, extremely dirty, and there's not even any toilet paper. During a shower, people will knock on the door because of the queue. Instead of a toilet, there's just a hole in the floor. The only plus of this place is the restaurant, but we had to wait over an hour for our order. 🙁🙁🙁 It was too long; they need more staff in the kitchen as they are not managing.

27/08/2024: Tour starts at 11, there are only 20 places, so reserve in advance. You will be driven to the cave with a small tractor. There are audio guides in Italian English and German. The cave is really beautiful and worth seeing. However, it is advisable not to have a problem with climbing stairs and to pack a jacket. In any case, we really liked it and the price was very reasonable!

07/08/2024: Fino ad un anno fa era molto soddisfacente: certe pietanze erano veramente accurate e ben fatte: la tartara battuta al coltello, certi hamburger di chianina veramente ok. Adesso però non ci andrò più: è cambiato tutto, a cominciare dal personale, sempre cortese e veloce, alla qualità delle pietanze, alcune veramente disastrosa. I prezzi erano sempre un po' alti, ma se le pietanze erano buone, ci potevano stare. Adesso è cambiato tutto in peggio, tranne i dolci, molto buoni e professionali, perché immagino che la pasticcera sia sempre la stessa. Posto da evitare.

01/08/2024: Bel posto, peccato per un BRUTTO inconveniente. In una delle pizze abbiamo trovato un VERME MORTO nel pomodoro. Grande delusione.
