07/01/2026: A well-kept, if not exceptional, location, knowledgeable staff, and good food, BUT: 1. A complete lack of a menu (even when explicitly requested), therefore no prices or allergens (which is also completely non-compliant). 2. An exorbitant bill: €104 for two verbally agreed-upon starters (one of which was requested without tomato sauce, although it was included) and a glass of wine. The bill wouldn't have been a problem if there had been a menu. It's a shame, because all the menu items are there for a quality restaurant, but it suffers from a lack of real skill in service and adherence to the rules.

10/03/2026: Excellent 4-star hotel in a very convenient location, with an attached restaurant and à la carte breakfast. This is my first time here, but I consider it a demonstration of the quality of the offerings. Instead of a buffet, which leads to waste and missing items if you're not careful, I find this option interesting. You can order multiple times, so it's buffet-style, but you order each time. Great idea!

08/03/2026: A nice hotel in a great part of the city, a short walk from cafes, shops and cultural attractions of this picturesque city. The hotel has a pleasant green atmosphere right at the entrance. They welcome you at the reception and will help you with accommodation as well as with everything you would like to visit in the city or what is important to see. The rooms are clean, you can go to the floors on foot or by elevator. The room is spotless and even though the hotel is in the city center, we were not disturbed by any noise from outside. Breakfast was a bit complicated for us, as we were used to buffet tables. Here you have to come to the table and order. It is quite laborious and takes longer (especially on weekends) and you could feel the pressure on the waiters. I must say that I admire how they tried to do it, but sometimes it was really impossible. Therefore, I recommend that on such days, come earlier and order everything at once. table, because when it gets full it takes a long time, sometimes something is forgotten. I wouldn't blame the waiters, but I think it's really hard to keep up, because as they say, how many people, so many tastes and everyone wants everything possible and then something is forgotten and then something else and the waiter really has enough. Otherwise, really nice staff, great service, pleasant evening bar with super drinks after a full day's trip. This nice hotel right in the old town offers all that. For me, the only thing that would be better is the breakfast buffet style. But the quality of the breakfast and the selection are great Parking on request, they will pick up your car in front of the hotel and bring it back when you want (you need to let them know at least 30 minutes before departure) price 30 eu per day, or you can find it in the area for a better price +- 5 eu less The hotel is in an excellent location for visiting beautiful cafes with excellent coffee and desserts. Of course, great restaurants with home-made cuisine and a wonderful walk along the promenade

21/02/2026: Excellent beers and delicious pizzas, delicious desserts too, friendly staff. A great place to start hikes on Monte Cocusso or the Salamandra trail...beware that the local trails are used by downhill mountain bikers. Lately (winter 2025-26), the staff has been struggling and very poorly organized...they only deliver half the pizzas...the cutlery doesn't arrive...there are desserts, but we're told they're sold out, then they send them to the next table...all of this needs to be reconsidered.

03/02/2026: Buffet Valentin in Trieste is a fantastic place! The owner, Silvia, is very friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is familiar and cultural. The cuisine is homey and offers traditional Italian dishes.

24/02/2026: A charming, intimate little spot overlooking the Muggia dock with outdoor seating available. The place is nice, clean, and well-organized. Good food and good wine. The fried calamari were fresh and cooked very well, as was the grilled calamari. The appetizer was also good, although honestly, for the price, it was a bit on the low side. Overall, we had a good time and will definitely return.

13/10/2025: Absolutely avoid It used to be safe because of its low prices, but now not even that. The place is dirty, the pizza has deteriorated, and the waiters are increasingly rude. Long waits, zero organization, and a total lack of interest in customers. Total disappointment.

08/08/2025: Good morning, I was here the other night and was quite surprised (in a negative way). The air was unbreathable, really too stuffy and hot. Even if you're there on December 31st, it's best to wear a tank top or you'll sweat. Let's get to the weak point: the pizza. I've never seen such a thin pizza; it was almost transparent (maximum 2 mm); the taste matched the appearance. If you're passing this street, keep going.

17/03/2026: A lovely, welcoming place with a wide selection of teas and herbal teas, as well as a wide selection of pastries and biscuits, including vegan ones. The place is quiet and the ladies are really kind, although I find the €0.50 per person table service a bit excessive. The restrooms are clean, and everything is very clean.

28/02/2026: If you're looking for something out of the ordinary, Ginger Tea & Cakes is a must-see. The place is incredibly unique, a little treasure trove of attention to detail. Their muffins are simply delicious, always fresh, and with flavor combinations that are never banal. The staff is always friendly and passionate. In short: An unmissable gem in Trieste for those who love places with personality and high-quality artisanal pastries. It's impossible to leave without a smile!

10/12/2025: Exceptional kebab every time, probably the best in Trieste and the surrounding area. Friendly staff, generous and filling sandwiches, well-seasoned, high-quality meat, and excellent sauces. I still have to try the pizzas. Recommended! 👍🏼

28/02/2026: This used to be my favorite pizzeria in Trieste: soft, light pizza, with a dough that felt like a cloud. Unfortunately, the pizza I ate a few days ago was very different: heavy, dense dough that left me thirsty, and mozzarella with an unconvincing flavor. I'm truly sorry: the fabulous pizza—at least for me—is now just a memory.

11/12/2025: Nice new modern place, food not the best, ordered prawns which arrived after 45 minutes (after I notified the waiter) (they also arrived cold) not only this but also other hot dishes which arrived cold. Not recommended

15/11/2025: I'll start by saying that I'm usually a creature of habit when I order takeout. For a change, we decided to try Giaguaro, and the experience was more than satisfying. The pizza is good and well-topped, and I've tried the salad bar practically everywhere in the city, and I thought it was delicious. Quality ingredients expertly combined. Well done! The fried eggplant is a must-try!
