Authentic ambience, daily menu with excellent seafood (row as well), good prices, extraordinary selection of good wines, pleasent and helpful staff. My recommendation for wining and dining in Trieste.

Bel locale si mangia bene, caro. Quello che non mi è piaciuto che alle 10.20 hanno spento la musica e aperta la porta in modo che entri freddo..alle 10.40 sono dovuto andare al banco a chiedere un dolce perché da 25 minuti non si vedeva nessuno...mi hanno detto che stavano chiudendo! 75 euro a testa senza primo piatto

Super Lokal. Freundliche wirtsleute,gute Qualität ausgezeichnetes Essen super Wein und Prosecco. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Interessantes Interieur schaft trotz st einwand und hohen decken mit industrielampen eine heimelige Atmosphäre super gelöst.

Really nice place, not so crowded, I would say a hidden gem in the center of Trieste. I recommend it if you want to try tasty food, good wine and a beautiful atmosphere. It's expensive but it's worth it.

Posto bellissimo arredato con gusto e classe. Il padrone di sala Alessandro ci ha fatto sentire di casa da subito con la sua gentilezza e professionalità,si mangia benissimo in particolare il primo piatto pasta alla busara,il pesce spada all' arancia ed il baccalà mantecato veramente sublime. Loredana lo chef ha le mani d' oro. Da ritornare al più presto. Prezzi normali ,ma la qualità riscontrata è tanta. Complimenti di vero cuore

Antica Trattoria Menarosti

01/04/2024: Excellent food and characteristic atmosphere (a little kitsch, but that's the beauty of it). The only sore point: the sommelier. He tried to be nice (spoiler: he ended up being unpleasant) and listed a couple of wines 'orally' for us. He didn't let us consult the menu and didn't tell us the price of the chosen glass of wine. Overall the experience was ultra positive, the fish was very fresh and all the other waiters and the owner were impeccable.
29/03/2024: Good raw and I would say enough. The baked catch of the day with potatoes, although they had cleaned and thorned it, was full of thorns and not well cleaned. The service is not memorable and the place is a mix of ancient and... modern that leaves something to be desired.
