18/10/2025: Ristorante da Afro is one of my regular stops during my travels in Friuli. I started, as usual, with the excellent San Daniele prosciutto and then tried the Asìno cheese, typical of the Vito d'Asio and Clauzetto area. We then continued with the fragrant tagliatelle with truffles, and the Acqualagna dish is tagliatelle with mushrooms and white veal ragù. The fiordilatte ice cream was excellent. We also tasted a fine Sauvignon from a local winery that held its own against the renowned Collio wines.

16/10/2025: The hotel and restaurant are highly recommended. The rooms are large, well-equipped, and very clean. The dining room and breakfast room are very elegant and homey. They perfectly complement the traditional dishes, which are also regionally and seasonally adapted. The chef himself speaks very good German, is helpful, and offers good tips.

24/08/2025: We stayed 10 days in August 2025 with a couple of friends. The friendliness, helpfulness, and cleanliness were top notch. The food was excellent, varied, and plentiful. The value for money was top notch.

19/07/2025: I recently returned to "da Gina," a restaurant that years ago inspired a scene in my debut novel. The years have passed, but its strengths remain the same: excellent cuisine, featuring fresh vegetables from the garden and the best of Carnia's traditional food and wine, attentive and friendly service, and prices well below average. All this in the majestic and evocative setting of the mountains. But what makes this place magical is that, behind it all, there's a family that for years has run a business with dedication and passion that faithfully and respectfully captures the flavors, colors, and aromas of the splendid Sigilletto. Not only will I return, but I think I'll set a few more scenes in my next novel there. Highly recommended.

30/09/2025: Delicious pizza! Excellent service and they work really fast. We used to eat here with friends, then with our families, and now with friends again. The atmosphere has always remained the same.

23/09/2025: A fantastic burger joint in Udine. The atmosphere is great, with a bit of a saloon vibe. You can enjoy a game of pool while waiting for your delicious burger. The music is also pleasant, but not too loud, so you can keep chatting with each other. Another great thing is the variety of beers they have. If you can't decide, you can enjoy a tasting of different beers. And what really matters is the burgers. They come in a variety of flavors, and oh my, what a treat! Baked perfectly, the buns are nice and fresh and cooked along with the burger, and the sauces you can choose from are also truly delicious. Highly recommended, a solid 10.

23/09/2025: I've been to this restaurant several times. The prosciutto is definitely top-notch, among the best in the area. Excellent first courses and exquisite desserts. Generous portions. Fast and courteous service. I've never used the rooms.

18/09/2025: You can't miss Al Canedo for lunch after a morning spent wandering around the most beautiful wineries in the area. Fantastic cuisine, very friendly staff, ample parking, and a green park with games for children.

17/09/2025: We visited this restaurant on Friday, September 12th, and were truly satisfied! We ate wonderfully, starting with the fried calamari: very light, dry, and without any surprises. The French fries were also excellent, crispy, and not at all greasy. Overall, all the fried dishes were really well done: light, easy to digest, and cooked with care. I had the grilled calamari, and it was simply amazing: incredibly fresh, with clearly high-quality ingredients. My companion ordered the pasta with clams, which was also very well made, with a nice balance of flavors and a generous helping of clams. We finished with a tiramisu, a classic executed to perfection. The service was attentive, courteous, but not intrusive. The price was absolutely fair for the quality. Highly recommended!

12/09/2025: When I say cheeseburger, I want it stuffed with cheese, not just a slice. It's not bad, but it's interesting. There's a lot of bread. And the diavola pizza was so small. Lots of paprika. They were stingy with the mayo and ketchup. I'm not saying this to give the restaurant a bad reputation, but because it was amazing. I'll order the sandwich again, but with less bread and more cheese! The waitresses are very kind.

11/10/2025: A positive experience. Excellent beer, well-tasted, and excellent pizzas. Super light and fragrant dough, excellent selection of ingredients, carefully crafted and of the highest quality. To top it off, an equally excellent tiramisu and a Slovenian grappa. My colleagues tell me it's one of the best pizzerias in the city. I think it's true. 🔝 BRAVI!!!

22/09/2025: How wonderful! We were looking for a place in Trieste where we could sample the most characteristic Triestine dishes. We were greeted with a smile by the owner and staff, who were truly attentive to their customers' needs. We had the opportunity to sample cured meats, artisanal cheeses, local pasta dishes, and desserts (my Gubana with a glass of grappa will remain etched in my memory forever). I'll be back as soon as possible. Well done Mara.

07/09/2025: Traditional dishes cooked simply yet deliciously. Delicious cjarsons, tasty and balanced frico with polenta, and incredibly tender pork cheeks. Service is prompt, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is welcoming—you'll feel right at home.
