14/02/2026: You're living a piece of Ligabue's history! The pastries and coffee are excellent, too!

12/01/2026: It's called Bar Mario, but there's very little Ligabue in it. In fact, the whole time I was there drinking hot chocolate, there was an entire Vasco Rossi playlist playing! Nothing against Vasco; in fact, I love him. But if you're Bar Mario, I'm not saying you should constantly play an entire Ligabue playlist, but at least don't play an entire Vasco playlist, otherwise it seems like a joke! I haven't tried the food, just the hot chocolate with plain cream—nothing special. The two ladies are kind, but let's just say they're more cheerful and sociable only with whoever they like. It's a real shame, because it has so much potential...

20/11/2025: I found the owner extremely unpleasant, a young man of 30 or so, arrogant and cocky, the pizza was good, very good, but I don't think I'll go back, a kebab is better than so much arrogance.

29/12/2025: There were a lot of us. They prepared Christmas lunch for us, bringing it upstairs where we'd rented the room. It was a wonderful party, excellent food, and plenty of it. Appetizers, first courses, second courses, and desserts. Everything was delicious. Most of us don't like meat, so there was a lot left over, but it was impossible to eat everything. We'd asked for mostly buffet service, and that was the case; being able to choose what we wanted was very convenient. They brought everything up separately and took care of clearing the table. The best Christmas lunch in recent years. Thank you.

09/09/2025: I ordered a takeout pizza, specifically a "sausage" pizza. The pizza was decent, but the sausage was a bit too much. I'd suggest being more generous with the ingredients.

17/08/2025: Group lunch for about 20 people, during the Three Lakes Trail. Two tables for 10 had been reserved, but we were in different rooms, for some reason. The lunch was a fixed menu. The typical appetizer was pleasant. Next up was testaroli (nothing exceptional) or lasagna. The main course (sautéed) was saltimbocca alla romana or eggplant parmigiana. Dessert was panna cotta (a bit runny) or fiordilatte gelato with an industrial-strength topping. Water, wine (one carafe for many people), and coffee. Let's just say that for €35, you usually get better food in the Apennines. It's nice that I didn't order a main course, so I got a small discount. The decor is stuck in the '80s, but that's the least of our problems; we weren't expecting anything different.

02/11/2025: A "basic" restaurant, overlooking the Regnano sauces, a casual approach with dictation of the dishes and a bitter surprise at the end: €40 for two well-portioned first courses, a shared vegetable portion, and coffee, plus their own bottled wine and water. We were reminded that the price was displayed at the entrance: a sign that looked like a vintage object, warning of a €50 per person menu. This seemed a bit opaque, with the bill far exceeding expectations, which leads me to advise against it.

30/09/2025: We've been there three times in two months. The quality is excellent! The flavors are unique and magnificently sacred to Emilia. All local and authentic products are paired with a chef who is simply magnificent. The other staff are also truly polite and attentive to their customers.

26/02/2026: On Saturday, I had lunch at Ristorante La Bottegaia with a group of friends and we had a wonderful time. The food was superb; everything was delicious and made with care. The cuisine is traditional Reggio Emilia, but with a few unique dishes (I ABSOLUTELY recommend the creamed cod). The woman who served us was kind and friendly throughout the meal. If you're looking for a well-prepared traditional menu, with a few original ideas, and in a central location in Reggio Emilia, I highly recommend it!

21/12/2025: The food was very good. I hadn't been there in years, but it's still a good place in the historic center. It's best enjoyed in the summer months because it's small and cramped inside. Reservations are recommended.

24/12/2025: I used to live a few hundred meters away and had been there many times. I returned recently and found the same welcome and the same quality. I recommend the fish, especially the Taranto-style mussels and a stew (I won't mention the name) that they serve as an appetizer. The service is excellent, and the staff is friendly but not intrusive.

02/03/2026: Simple and clean hotel. Basic service is excellent and flexible. Helpful staff. The restaurant offers excellent value. As for the quality, it's worth going there just for dinner. The food is delicious, and the pizza is excellent.

02/02/2026: Close to our house, the dishes and orders are quick, and we're curious to see what it would be like to stay there too... who knows! The mixed fried food is super excellent, and the fish is so delicious we'll be back again and again!
