Excellent option for those in the Coverciano, Fiesole, and Settignano areas. Quality food, traditional and made with local ingredients. Large portions of pasta, just the way I like them. The tastiest dish for me was the PEPOSO. Fairly priced.

Just go, yes it has the best steak you'll ever have (Bistecca nel filetto!) and yes it's worth the extra time on transit. You can call them to make a reservation and they'll have someone who speaks English as well.

10/07/2026: We were in Florence these days, for us this osteria was a discovery, excellent food, friendly staff, and the food is exquisite, their carpaccio is splendid and my daughter loves their mice with ragù.... we will definitely be back, if there were more people like this.... thank you so much Paola From Genoa

11/04/2026: Uncle Gigi is a sure thing. If you're in Florence, you absolutely have to stop by! The food, wine, and hospitality were top-notch. The evening was amazing. I recommend this restaurant to everyone. Best in town.
