La Reggia degli Etruschi In Fiesole

Best meal we had in and around Florence!

Heard about this place on a random Instagram reel and it was amazing as advertised. The steak was great, the dessert was amazing, wine and atmosphere were top notch. The only downside was having to take a €90 Uber ride back to Florence because there was no other way to get back.

Such a gorgeous dinner. The walk up to the restaurant, overlooking Fiesole and Florence at night was the perfect start to an excellent meal. Our server, Viviana, was so kind, as well as all the waitstaff at the restaurant. We ate Leo’s antipasti, the bistecca florentina (which was HUGE) and the rigatoni dish, all were cooked to perfection. Reservations are a must.

When we come here we are always welcomed with warmth and friendliness, the food is delicious, the wine supreme and the view extraordinary ♡

I saw this restaurant recommended on a podcast and thought I’ve got to check it out. My God, it wasn’t a trap. Absolutely phenomenal food. Best bruschetta I’ve ever had. Some of the best puddings I’ve ever had. The pasta was unbelievable. The steak was perfectly cooked. The wine choice was amazing. The whiskey was great. And it was really reasonable. Maybe I'm used to London overpriced rubbish but this was incredibly good value for money. But the above alone would make this restaurant a 4.5. What makes this restaurant the absolute best (5/5)? The owners and the staff. Kind, funny, friendly and warm. Everything I adore about Italy wrapped up in a team of wonderful people. Generous and kind, they made our evening very special. I would say this was one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to, if not the best. I guess that podcast was right. Grazi all x

So good! And our waitress was the BEST!

I literally cried of joy from the food and atmosphere there. The wine selection and views only added to the experience. It took me back to my childhood growing up in an Italian home. I’ll go back for sure.

Top restaurant, excellent and high quality products, vast choice of wines, qualified and kind staff. I will definitely return many times 👍
