Da Alighiero In Anghiari

We had a wonderful meal at Da Alighiero in Anghiari, one of the most charming historic towns in Tuscany. The restaurant perfectly reflects the character of its surroundings, with beautiful classic décor both inside and out that creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant was very busy during our visit, and after dining there it was easy to understand why. The kitchen delivers very good food made with fresh, high-quality ingredients that truly shine on the plate. Some dishes celebrate traditional Tuscan flavors, while others add a creative and innovative touch without losing their roots. Combined with attentive and professional service, it made for a memorable dining experience. Da Alighiero is the kind of place you look forward to returning to it. Definitely a keeper when visiting Anghiari.

Good food. Lots of quality time speaking with the chef. Great selection of wine and they even collected a different wine from a friend so we could compare. Good night was had by all.

The food was excellent. My only comment is that I'd add the cost of water, wine, and coffee to the menu. €4.00 for a coffee seems excessive to me.

We visited this restaurant in June 2025. Today, months later, it came back to our mind while we were in the car, it’s one of those places you remember. We realized we should have left a review. We arrived on a very hot day, hungry after exploring the region, and decided to trust the owner for a recommendation. He was incredibly friendly and clearly passionate about what he does, so we let him bring his specialties. It was the best decision! The food was outstanding, featuring high-quality ingredients prepared with genuine care. The fresh salad, the perfectly marinated meat, and the delicious ravioli were all a delight. Honestly, one of the best meals we’ve ever had. We’d love to come back if we are ever in the area again!

A bit of a disappointment, honestly, from all those Michelin stickers we expected something more.

A wonderful, historic, and ancient place. Gianni is the host, a true Tuscan, kind and very friendly. Silvia in the kitchen is fantastic; the food is superb and very high quality. Anyone who says it's expensive probably eats at Eurospin and dines out once a year, because the prices are absolutely not high, and are in line with the quality served. A delicious plate of pasta costs between 11 and 13 euros. How much do you want to pay in the historic center of a world-famous medieval village? I recommend it to everyone.

The food was good, not very abundant, the total price was expensive, which was a shame for me, the German chef was good
