18/01/2026: Very nice place and welcoming service, but room for improvement. The only sore point is the dishes. A large platter: a simple mix of cold cuts (mortar like the one at Eurospin in a box) with a few slices of cheese. Extremely high prices for the type of dish. First courses were good, but a bit too salty. Sliced ​​steak: cooked as requested, the meat was quite "nervous" and "durable," in short, a bit tough. Side dishes: definitely much better. Dessert: the cheesecake needs a complete overhaul. Summary: A rather disappointing experience, a touristy place, high prices.

07/12/2025: This place is historic; my wife and I have been going back at least twice on vacation for 10 years... What can I say? If there were a coccolino in every town in Italy, it would be a better place! I can't give it a thousand stars, but they deserve all of them. The wait staff is not always top-notch! 07/12/2025: What a wonderful experience!!! Lunch in Florence is often risky because most of the places are touristy. Marione, however, is a guarantee!!! There are two places: Marione and Marione al Trebbio. Today we tried Marione al Trebbio. If anything, it was even better than the other. Classic menu: crostini, ribollita, steak with potatoes and spinach, cream and pine nut cake, and vin santo. Everything absolutely perfect and of the highest quality. The house wine was also exceptional. The price was more than fair. Giulia, a wonderful host, always smiling and very kind, completed the experience. Highly recommended. We'll be back.

09/11/2025: For us, this restaurant was a miss. We chose this restaurant because of its inclusion in the Michelin guide but it failed to meet that standard. Our evening started awry when we were asked to choose our table. After several minutes, they told us we needed to move to a less desirable table. We were then ignored for 10+ minutes while they attended to patrons who had arrived after us. For the remainder of the evening we received less than attentive service in contrast to other patrons. Food wise, it was ok but not great. Because I am gluten free, I asked about the details of the tasting menu. Unlike most restaurants, they would not tell me what was on it. Spoiler alert- it’s all items from the regular menu. Twice, they served me items that contained gluten. Several of our dishes were lukewarm. I asked to modify my paired wines to be red and they acted like it was a huge inconvenience. Finally, when making the reservation we indicated that I am gluten free and that it was my birthday. The restaurant made little effort for either. Instead of gluten free bread, I was given a package of grocery store crackers. For my birthday, they gave me a small jelly candy with a candle. No staff acknowledged the celebration. This is not the level of food or service that one would expect for a restaurant that holds itself out as a Michelin fine dining establishment.

The only relatively negative thing... the price, a bit high, but unfortunately now aligned; if you want quality... you have to pay a little more. Anyway, I'd gladly return if I could.
