14/03/2026: Those osterias you stumble upon by chance and that ultimately become a memorable address. We went to Osteria e Vinaino Cicalone in Florence and it was a wonderful surprise. We hadn't booked, and from the outside it looked full, but we asked anyway, and within minutes they found us a table. The place is small but very welcoming, with informal decor featuring signs brimming with irony and Florentine humor. Quality rock music plays in the background, giving the place character and creating a relaxed atmosphere. The owner recommended the wine: a Cabernet from the Antinori winery. I must admit that I don't normally choose wines from this winery because I find them a bit too commercial, but this one turned out to be an excellent pairing with the meat. We had a succulent, tender, and freshly flavored grass-fed Florentine steak, accompanied by a baked potato and gratinated endive with bread on top—very flavorful. To finish, a Sacher torte where the cocoa was the real star. We also tried the homemade cantucci, and honestly, they were among the best I've ever eaten. The kind of osteria where you enter by chance... and leave already thinking about when you'll be back.

28/12/2025: Highly recommended! The staff is friendly, professional, and happy to chat with anyone. The food is excellent and reasonably priced, especially compared to other nearby restaurants. We had the spaghetti carbonara, the grilled chicken, and the veal loin: everything was delicious. The potatoes were exceptional. Shoutout to the guy I believe to be the manager, who welcomes customers and makes them feel at home. His voice, reminiscent of Giobbe Covatta, makes the conversation even more enjoyable. Thanks also to the young man who served us at the table, who was competent and very kind. Congratulations to everyone, and we hope to return soon!

12/03/2026: I went to this restaurant with my boyfriend about a month ago and we had a great time. The pasta in particular was delicious and the service was attentive. Giuseppe waited on us, and he was super kind and helpful in accommodating our (my) requests. ♥️ I highly recommend it and will be back as soon as I pass through Florence. 04/04/2026: We visited today with our dog and were absolutely delighted. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive – we felt right at home. The menu is varied and really makes you want to try everything. All our dishes were excellent, especially the Bistecca Fiorentina, which was simply amazing – perfect and incredibly delicious – the best we've ever had! A real highlight at the end: the dessert, made by the owner's mother herself – definitely try it, it's worth it! All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable visit – we will definitely be back and highly recommend it!

20/01/2026: A truly enchanting restaurant in every detail, chosen for our New Year's Day 2026 lunch, which turned out to be a simply perfect experience. The atmosphere is meticulously curated, and you can immediately sense their passion for hospitality. The staff was impeccable: professional, smiling, and always available, making you feel welcomed and pampered from start to finish. The food is extraordinary: each dish is an explosion of unique and well-balanced flavors, with evident attention to even the smallest details. Off-menu, we tried the cheek, incredibly tender and rich in flavor, a true delight. The Florentine steak, cooked to perfection, was soft and flavorful. The dessert was also excellent: a delicious apple pie with vanilla ice cream, the perfect end to the meal. It was all accompanied by a bottle of Chianti Classico Riserva Renzo Marinai, recommended by the owner, which proved to be an excellent pairing. The prices were absolutely fair for the quality offered. A New Year's Eve lunch that exceeded all expectations and one we will definitely repeat.

24/03/2026: Discovered this place thanks to a truly spot-on recommendation. The mixed antipasto was generous and varied, with excellent stuffed quail and a fantastic veal cheek on creamed potatoes. The wine selection is extensive and very reasonably priced. You can also sample some very high-quality wines by the glass. I hope to return soon.

22/03/2026: Excellent service, quality, and ambiance, not to mention the truly well-stocked wine cellar and its seemingly standard wine shop prices! In my personal opinion, I'd like to have a little more time between courses. Definitely recommended.
