05/04/2024: Wonderful evening. Very good service and food.

04/04/2024: Candles, twinkle lights, and great steak. The food was amazing, with great house wine and friendly staff. We started with wine and went right into the steak. The waiter explained our options and even brought the steak out before it was cooked. The balsamic was excellent. Loved the presentation of the steak. Cheesecake was very good. Great place to have a Tuscan steak.

07/04/2024: Honestly, girlfriend and I are very happy with this place. We ate like pigs, I even drank a liter of beer. The food is very tasty, the staff is extremely friendly. Really two praises for this place and a sincere recommendation for anyone.

31/03/2024: I recommend this typical restaurant in Montalcino. Cozy atmosphere, there are not many places, it is advisable to book. Dishes prepared with excellent raw materials. Nice, attentive and kind service. Their menu with 3 courses and dessert included is interesting! We will be back!

The Barbischio tavern is certainly among the top 3 locations in Chianti for quality of cuisine and adequate prices, in addition to the fact that it is a very nice and intimate restaurant. Claudio has a disarming professionalism and love for what he does in the dining room. Everything at the top!

21/10/2023: Ancora una volta, in occasione della nostra partecipazione a L’Eroica di Gaiole, abbiamo voluto cenare in questa tradizionale osteria, memori delle ottime esperienze precedenti. Nonostante la serata fosse particolarmente impegnativa per il gran numero degli avventori, la qualità non è venuta meno, sia per quanto riguarda le pietanze che il servizio. Ottimi i primi (in particolare gli “ignudi”) così come i secondi (il “peposo” rimane il mio preferito). Anche la carta dei vini è di tutto rispetto. Complimenti a tutto lo staff.

02/04/2024: We have been here several times. The food is great. Perfect little family restaurant. We were here summer 2017 and the receptionist at the hotel recommended it to us, then we fell in love with the place. We visited it 3 nights in a row during our stay in Florence. This time after 7 years we visited Florence again and we came back again and found out everything is still the same. Perfectly fine food and people. Except the passing of mama, you will forever be missed! I hope this place stays forever and we can revisit again!

16/01/2024: We are a couple from US traveling through Europe.  This was the best meal in Italy!  I rarely do reviews,  but the experience was so excellent I felt obligated to inform others. The chef shared some specials with us.  The food was fresh and the portions were good sized.  The taste were amazing (awesome). The staging of the meal was perfect 👌.  The service was perfect and also spoke English as well. This meal would have cost more in the United States,  but was about half of what I expected to pay.

03/04/2024: A happy experience with my friends Eleonora and Germana starting from the sixteenth century environment where I tasted excellent traditional Florentine dishes made with skill and attention to raw materials. Worth mentioning are the pappardelle (homemade) with duck ragù, wonderful, the pici with Tuscan ragù (memory dish for me) and the stuffed artichokes. The staff is extremely welcoming, non-formal and the chef Alessandro is very good, thoughtful and friendly. Absolutely recommended on a trip to Florence.

02/04/2024: Found by chance a kilometer from the motorway exit during a long journey, it was a real discovery!! The staff is very kind and welcoming, they have an energy and courtesy that makes you feel at home. The guys in the dining room were able to advise us carefully and in fact everything we ate was excellent. Even though we only ordered one dish each, we managed to taste a bit of everything: the starter of mixed cold cuts and cheeses was good, the tagliatelle with wild boar ragout were divine, not to mention the sliced ​​meat and fillet which were of the highest quality and cooked perfectly. The desserts were an excellent conclusion to a good lunch. We renew our compliments to the kitchen and thank you very much for making us feel welcomed. Keep up the good work guys, good luck!!
