01/10/2024: Ristorante piccolino posizionato nella parte più esterna di Ortigia, dietro il mercato. Abbiamo prenotato tramite The Fork con uno sconto strabiliante e tutto è andato benissimo. Innanzi tutto il servizio: due ragazze di cui una, la responsabile, professionale ed attenta, l'altra molto giovane a cui si perdona un po' di ansia nel gestire il tavolo :-) Le pietanze ottime. Soprattutto il tonno, per qualità e tecnica di cottura: eccezionale. Sull'arancino un appunto: era ancora freddo all'interno. Conto perfetto CONSIGLIATISSIMO

17/05/2025: Delicious!!! We came in May for my birthday, there weren't many people and we were placed directly on the balcony, very pleasant, overlooking the busy street below. It was perfect, attentive and very responsive servers. The dishes were simply delicious!! And all for an excellent quality/price ratio!

This beautiful restaurant is located in the center of Agrigento, in front of the statue of the writer Andrea Camilleri. The dishes are excellent and the combinations refined and sublime, with local and excellent quality ingredients. The calamarata with pistachio and prawns and the swordfish rolls with citrus fruits are excellent. Really high quality-price ratio.

27/04/2025: I have been frequenting the La Vela restaurant for 15 years and every time it is a pleasure to return. Salvo and Laura, the owners, are extraordinary people: always friendly and approachable, they make every customer feel at home. The fish is always very fresh and the quality-price ratio is truly excellent, undoubtedly the best in Giardini Naxos. A place that I recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy excellent food and have an authentic experience.

29/05/2025: Certainly everyone is kind, easy-going, but I was disappointed by the quality-price ratio... desserts €7, which I believe were defrosted, appetizers and first courses €20.25 per dish seems a bit excessive to me... fried appetizer €20... I don't know... quality has to be paid for obviously, but with €20 for 4 arancini and 4 croquettes I expect the best. Classic pizzas. I was expecting something more like "southern pizza".

07/05/2025: Homey resto run by a nice elderly gentleman who prepares all the meals🥗🥘, introduced the specials handwritten on a piece of paper in italian📝...the way he explained enticed us to try all of them, delicious home-style cooking in all its simplicity...cute dogs too 🐕

22/05/2025: Trattoria with fish-based dishes, all very good and fresh. The owner is an exquisite person, super welcoming and professional. The place is very clean and cared for in every detail. We had various appetizers based on fish and shellfish, abundant and one better than the other. The norma di mare with swordfish is highly recommended. I will definitely return.

13/05/2025: Trattoria for tourists nothing more The first course was undercooked pasta that still needed a few minutes of cooking. The other was good but nothing special. Given the prices it looked like a dish made by hand but evidently I'm too good. So after the first course we paid and left without even having a coffee or a dessert with bitter. I understand that foreigners eat everything but there are customers who know Italian cuisine and in my opinion an Agrigento native would not eat fish in this place. Too bad because the place is very nice

12/05/2025: Stupendous: quality food and excellent service for this small tavern that offers excellent Sicilian cuisine from the sea and the mountains. Definitely a place not only for tourists but also for locals. The pistachio semifreddo remained in our hearts.

15/05/2025: We ordered a couple of pizza specials and a couple of beers. Best Pizza ... thin crust , not soggy , beautiful produce ( sundried cherry tomato, artichokes, pancetta, buffalo mozarella etc ) used as toppings . Scrumptious. Highly recommended. Worth a visit . Photo attached .

08/05/2025: A block off the main drag, this lovely restaurant is a hidden gem. It is an unpretentious, family-run place. We had an inventive and delicious seafood-focused dinner; truly excellent! It was made more delightful by our gregarious host. He speaks perfect English, but helped us practice our Italian which was a lot of fun. He shared the family story, introduced us to his brother, the chef, and his wife who shares front-of-house duties.

07/05/2025: We have just spent an incredible evening accompanied by delicious cuisine from a great chef! Everything was neat and the support from our server was more than perfect. A passionate person who knew how to guide us in our choices. Thank you again, we had a wonderful evening.

15/05/2025: Recomendamos su antipasto di mare como un stater, un desfile de platos de mariscos locales sicilianos. Porción muy generosa, así que básicamente esto es para que dos compartan. También teníamos platos de pasta a base de mariscos, simplemente eran deliciosos también. Junto con una botella de blanco gaseado de la casa, cervezas, la cuenta era muy razonable. Usted será recibido por un propietario encantador que habla inglés. En mi opinión, Messina no es una gran ciudad para hacer turismo, pero fue una incidencia muy afortunada que encontramos esta encantadora trattoria. Todas las mesas estaban ocupadas por clientes locales distintos a nosotros, prueba de autenticidad segura.

20/05/2025: This place is excellent mussels were FANTASTIC!!!!!!!! The owner great and funny to talk to. We come to Lipari often and this will be one of our regular stops.

15/05/2025: The owner had a great welcome and very helpful. We had a very enjoyable dinner. Lasagna just delicious. Carpaccio of swordfish starter and main of Octopus were excellent. We so much enjoyed to fun and place which is small and warm on a cold evening. Nice wine as well.
