19/07/2025: Was looking for some authentic lagsana and Hostaria la Scalinata didn’t disappoint. It’s a nice local restaurant with super friendly staff (M) who made me feel very welcomed. A nice spot to have dinner near Spagna after a long day of walk around the city.

19/07/2025: First restaurant we tried when we arrived in Italy. The food portions were enough for our hungry kids. It’s a small spot but they were able to accommodate all 9 of us. The food was good as well as the service.

05/07/2025: The food is very good, the house wine is light, maybe we would have ordered something else if we had known. We ordered a pasta Gricia and a pasta Matriciana. We thought the pasta Gricia was a little sickly, they added too much bacon. The Matriciana was spectacular, a very tasty tomato sauce. There were a lot of Italian customers in the restaurant, which indicates that it is a place where locals go. The service was not very good, I got the impression that they don't like foreigners very much, well, sometimes it's just an impression.

05/07/2025: Tried Osteria La Sol Fa with high expectations, but I found it a bit overrated compared to other restaurants serving similar Roman dishes. The cacio e pepe lacked depth in flavor and didn’t quite live up to the versions I’ve had elsewhere in Rome. Service was decent, and the atmosphere was nice, but overall, the experience didn’t justify the hype for me.

13/07/2025: We had a great time..everything was good..we had booked for our wedding anniversary but the reservation had not been noted. The owner still found us a table for 5 and did everything to solve the problem. Thanks again to her for our evening.

13/07/2025: Best pasta I had in Rome without a doubt!! The pasta was delicate and fresh, the ragu was flavourful. Very nice service as well. I probably wouldn’t sit outside again, it’s a tiny street and there are cars driving right in front of you, but indoors has a good vibe too.

16/06/2025: We went to Osteria Dal Micione and we were thrilled! The place is welcoming, rustic and with a family atmosphere that makes you feel at home right away. The carbonara is among the best we have ever eaten: creamy to perfection, tasty and prepared with top quality ingredients. The other Roman dishes are also excellent - the mixed fried food and amatriciana are highly recommended! The staff is kind, smiling and always available. Honest prices and generous portions. An authentic place, perfect for those who love good Italian cuisine. We will definitely be back

27/06/2025: My trusted restaurant when I have to take someone who is visiting Rome to eat Roman food. The pastas are excellent, the entire menu has typical Roman dishes and the prices are not even too high. The portions with which they are large and are satisfying. In any case they are friendly and do their job. They have both a space inside that is very large and some small places outside.

24/06/2025: Delicious food, really at a high level. There is nothing to find fault with, I have never had the opportunity to eat such a delicious Carbonara. Lasagne is also delicious. The waiter Alexis knows what he is doing, I have not experienced such nice service in any place for a long time. The drinks are great.

01/07/2025: I came here on the last day of my honeymoon with my husband, and the staff were so kind and they even spoke Korean, so I think we had a really fun time eating and leaving! Come here and have a great meal and feel the atmosphere of Rome! I highly recommend it!

10/07/2025: They worked to get us on the rooftop at sunset, which we were thankful. Rico (our server) was very helpful and experienced, he went out of his way to make our evening enjoyable. Omar was very accommodating taking a couple group photos of us. You can tell he took pleasure in taking the photo, not just a haphazard courtesy a lot of servers tend to offer. The view was wonderful, the evening was cool after a hot day and we never felt rushed. Overall great experience.

04/07/2025: The atmosphere and service were good. I ordered the Bolognese and the Vongole which the reviews said was excellent. It was so incredibly salty, so salty I thought I was actually eating salt. I had read reviews from Japanese people saying it was incredibly delicious so I ordered it without hesitation, but it was too salty. The Bolognese was just as tasty as usual. I wondered if it was just a coincidence, but when I had carbonara at another restaurant it was also quite salty, so I thought Rome is generally salty. You might want to be careful with oily or creamy dishes.

29/06/2025: I would give five stars for the welcome and friendliness. For the rest I expect more from Roman cuisine: the spaghetti alla carbonara had fried egg and the amatriciana was a pasta with sauce and bacon. Edible but nothing special. Small detail: in the kitchen there are microwaves galore. The cleanliness leaves much to be desired, even that of the bathroom. All in all I don't feel like recommending it, on the contrary. PS if you find my review useful and honest say so with a thumbs up 😉
