We had a great meal here. The waiter was very kind and attentive and the food was delicious and authentic. Very reasonably priced (only €4 for a carafe of house red!) and big portions!

I was in Rome with my family, and while I was nearby, at the kind recommendation of a local, I went to this restaurant. Friendly staff, a relaxed, informal atmosphere, and excellent quality food. I had a promo with a ragù that was excellent, even when cooked, and a rabbit cacciatore style dish that was very good. The house wine was a sparkling white. My wife had superb pasta alla Gricia and fresh sea bream for the main course. Dessert followed, of which they have a wide selection. Excellent value. Let me know if you enjoyed your meal. I highly recommend it.

A family-run restaurant offering attentive service and Roman cuisine, including excellent pizza and homemade desserts in the evenings. A safe bet if you want to eat well at a very fair price. A long-time customer, I always find reason to return. Highly recommended.

Gildo il cacciatore is the last remaining Roman home-style restaurant in Rome. The atmosphere is welcoming and very clean, the staff are kind and friendly, everything is delicious, the pizza is amazing, I also recommend the puntarelle, the first courses, the second courses, the appetizers, everything is really good at a price that to say honest is an understatement, top!!!

Recommended for a casual dinner where substance prevails over appearance. The dishes are simple yet authentic and flavorful, and the prices are in line with other restaurants in the city. Upon entering, you'll experience a sense of culinary tradition and authenticity.
27/04/2026: On the recommendation of Roman friends, I dined at this restaurant, and I must say it did not disappoint. This Roman trattoria is a great place for lunch or dinner, a relaxing experience with excellent food. The atmosphere is superb, and the service is top-notch.
