Antica Hostaria Romanesca In Roma

Choosing this place to eat was a great decision; we really enjoyed it. The restaurants in the surrounding area were very pushy and insistent on getting in to eat, which we didn't like at all. However, here, it was the complete opposite. Right in Piazza del Fiore, with the morning market. The mozzarella with tomato appetizer was the only thing that wasn't very flavorful. The carbonara was delicious; it had been a long time since I'd had such a good one! The fettuccine with artichokes was also very good, and the fettuccine with mushrooms and peas was good, but I wasn't thrilled with the tomato. (Personal opinion) The house wine was good, and the bread was free twice! It was amazing, especially the oven-toasted bread. For dessert, the mascarpone was delicious, and the coffees were too. They gave us a free promotional bib so we wouldn't get messy. Highly recommended. The only thing I found outrageous was the €3 cover charge.

A delightful surprise in the central Campo de' Fiori. Typical local cuisine with generous, carefully prepared dishes that are truly excellent. The tripe and Roman-style artichokes are simply breathtaking. Competitively priced for the excellent quality. The owner is incredibly friendly. Highly recommended.

A restaurant in Campo de' Fiori with a spacious terrace and a small indoor dining area (reservations recommended). Excellent food and welcoming, helpful staff! We had a truly wonderful meal!

Restaurant well located on the market square. Authentic Italian dishes; the pasta was delicious and the antipasti were a wonderful discovery. I will return on my next trip to Rome.

Pasta carbonara and tiramisu are delicious!

The Campo de Fiori market isn't what it once was, but this Roman trattoria maintains its traditional dishes, good quality, friendly and fast service, and reasonable prices. A ray of sunshine among the thousands of activities now over-touristic.

The pasta I ate here was the best thing I’ve ever eaten. Not fancy at all just perfectly textured pasta and I still think about the sauce 4 years later.
