27/06/2025: Sometimes simplicity is all it takes to spend a nice evening. I had saved this place for a long time among my ideas for the future, and it turned out to be the perfect place for a quiet dinner with a friend. The place is intimate, but with a table layout designed to ensure the right amount of privacy. We had already looked at the menu, but in addition to the fixed proposals, we were offered several interesting off-menu options, among which we chose the pastrami with rocket, cherry tomatoes and parmesan: light, tasty and perfect for the hot days of this period. I will definitely keep it saved among the places to return to: the experience was pleasant in every aspect.

16/05/2025: Semplicità,simpatia tipicamente emiliana e qualità sono i punti che fanno grande questo locale. Clima estremamente familiare. Abbiamo cenato in un ambiente accogliente e gustando prodotti locali. Rapporto qualità prezzo decisamente conveniente. Consiglio vivamente!

09/07/2025: We dined here at the end of May. The lady who took our orders was quite annoyed, but the waiter who brought our food to our table was very kind. The quality/price ratio was disproportionate, meaning the prices were very high compared to the average for the area, and the quality of the food was decidedly below par. We ordered two tagliata (veal cuts), which we asked for rare, but they served them almost done. Unfortunately, the cut of meat wasn't suitable for tagliata; it was full of sinews, rubbery, and difficult to chew and swallow. The flavor wasn't typical of the cut of meat typically used for tagliata. The desserts and wine were good.

The experience began with delicious mortadella meatballs, an appetizer that immediately won us over with their delicacy and flavor. For first courses, we couldn't miss the Bolognese classics: I opted for the fantastic tagliatelle al ragù, expertly prepared with a rich and flavorful sauce, while my wife enjoyed the delicious lasagna. Both dishes were excellent, a true triumph of Emilian cuisine. Special praise also goes to the staff, always very kind and friendly, who helped make our lunch even more enjoyable. Trattoria da Tony is undoubtedly a must-visit for those seeking an authentic gastronomic experience in Bologna, with traditional dishes prepared with passion and impeccable service. We'll definitely be back!

14/07/2025: Quite disappointed about the food quality. We got two pizzas (one a special one to share) and the other a prosciutto pizza and they were both quite cardboardy. We also ordered a salad: it came with shredded iceberg lettuce that seemed it was straight from a plastic bag, some watermelon slices, olives from a can, and yoghurt sauce; not appetizing. Quite a disappointment. The service and the location are nice but don’t go for the food!

11/07/2025: I was born and raised in Bologna, and I don't think I've ever eaten so badly in a Bolognese restaurant. The cotoletta was terrible, the tartare with a hard-boiled egg on top was terrible, and the friggione was inedible. The staff was very kind to us and our dog. It's a real shame, the chef is definitely not from Bologna.

09/07/2025: I had a wonderful experience during my recent vacation in Bologna! This was an excellent restaurant, discovered through a friend who lives in Bologna! It's also in a great area of ​​the city! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent. Everything was delicious! I'll definitely be back when I return to Bologna. :-)

06/07/2025: Solo traveller from Australia. Spritz and lasagne were delicious. Understand the comments about service not being overly attentive, but the waiters are responsive when called. They even provided recommendations in the area :) Right near the Finestrella di via Piella also!

26/07/2025: Super stressed young waiter, we barely had time to sit down before we had to order food. The food tasted absolutely nothing. The waiter cleared the table before we had both finished eating. Then he stood and waited for us to finish our glasses. Add to that that we were the only guests and it was 6pm. No, I DO NOT recommend this place!

26/07/2025: Small but welcoming place. It's a shame the ceiling is covered with fake reeds, they seem temporary (what could be underneath!) From the menu we choose lasagna...not available, roast rabbit...not available, boiled meat...not available, polenta...only in winter. We adapt with: tagliatelle with meat sauce but the sauce had a stale, runny aftertaste, the pasta was smooth, guinea fowl was very greasy, with 4 dry baked potatoes and two sage leaves for decoration on the plate. Poor service. The salad was brought with the tagliatelle even though I had said it would be served later. Dishes were served with oven gloves, and the waiters were intrusive in introducing the dishes, cutting off each other's words. We then realized that they would be closing the next day for holidays. The manager is just an extra. Big disappointment.

24/07/2025: A classic trattoria in the center of Bologna, with a simple atmosphere. The presentation of the dishes was rather basic. Some dishes on the menu, such as the shin, were unavailable that day, so we opted for the beef fillet, which, however, was significantly smaller than the price.
