19/10/2025: What I liked was that we were five friends and ordered five different dishes. All of them were truly exquisite, so you'll be sure to get it right no matter what you order. The homemade ice cream with Modena vinegar is highly recommended for dessert. The staff was also very attentive.

30/11/2025: It was a wonderful dinner in a lovely setting. Without a reservation, I was able to get a very nice table all to myself at 7 pm. Everyone on the staff was exceptionally friendly and efficient. I felt very well looked after. The starter, main course, and even the chef's tiramisu were delicious. No portion was too big or too small. Highly recommended. Incidentally, I was the only tourist there.

11/10/2025: Inspired by the restaurant's name, we wanted to try a classic...a delicious platter of tigelle, crescentine, and cured meats. Attentive staff. Prices are reasonable.

11/10/2025: Very, very nice, the food is good, typical Bolognese, good variety, and the waiters are very friendly. Second time I've been, tried both inside and outside, always spending around €30, leaving with the feeling that the price is in line with what I ate/drank.

13/10/2025: Trattoria in the center of Bologna, with a lovely atmosphere and friendly service. The cured meats and first courses are excellent (we didn't order the second courses). Excellent value. Trattoria-style prices.

23/10/2025: It's a very welcoming bar. The owner is a very kind, friendly, and kind person. They have all kinds of drinks, thick beer, and cigars. They make delicious paninis on the spot, and the prices are very reasonable. If you are a tourist or live in Bologna, you absolutely have to jump in and have a great time. I highly recommend it. 14/10/2025: Remember those old-fashioned trattorias? Vilma's is just like that, and it's a great place to be. The service is quick and friendly, and they even have friggione, which I love!

29/09/2025: We stopped by that restaurant on a Sunday precisely because we read the reviews, which are usually spot-on, but this time we were wrong to trust them. Aside from the time wasted finding parking (there's no parking lot), as soon as we sat down we already spent €12 for the cover charge (€3 per person), but we only discovered this when we got the bill because it wasn't listed on the menu, unless we missed it, which of course can happen. Otherwise, I was very disappointed with the tortellini in broth, which were very hard, perhaps because they were frozen and undercooked, or old, or for something else I can't say, but they were tough. The carpaccio was inedible, because it was served without any marinade, just raw meat to be seasoned on the spot at the table, full of sinew and therefore impossible to swallow. The lasagna and tagliatelle (from the trio of first courses), on the other hand, were not bad, although of average quality, but the portions were truly tiny. That said, ordering just one dish per person, so four dishes, we spent €101.00 (a plate of tortellini in broth, a carpaccio with a side of vegetables, two trios of first courses, a bottle of water, half a liter of house wine, and four coffees). We found the quality-price ratio to be very exaggerated!

21/09/2025: Excellent trattoria serving classic Italian dishes nicely focused on those of Bologna and the surrounding region. Packed for Sunday lunch with locals so glad we made a reservation. Lovely staff. Great food. Happy Sunday buzz. For Primi we shared a couple of classics: tagliatelle and lasagne. Secondi of the beef cheeks with divine mash and fillet steak with rocket and parmesan. Shared some grilled courgettes as a side and a great lemon sorbet for dolce. The caffè was predictably good as was the caraffe of house sangiovese.

18/11/2025: Good service. Rooms need a little updating. Bathrooms need redoing. However, I would recommend installing mosquito nets at all entrances such as windows, balconies, etc. Because it is infested with bedbugs and locusts and because it is surrounded by greenery, it would be advisable to install them. Decent breakfast, good service. Friendly and helpful staff.

22/11/2025: Waitress Margherita was rude. The food was nothing special, and the dessert was served frozen. We reported it to both the waitress and the cashier, and their response was: "You're the first to say this!" Never again! We were all disappointed.

21/11/2025: I went to eat there on my first day in Bologna because of the reviews. As expected, there was a queue of about 15 minutes to get a table. I tried the tagliatelle with ragu, and what really stood out was the freshness of the pasta. The ragu itself wasn't any more exquisite than you'd find elsewhere. A plus (which is why it's always packed): the cheapest prices in the center of Bologna.

13/11/2025: Booked almost by chance a couple of weeks ago, but it was a great find. A basic place on the hill, but truly excellent food. Crescentine, cured meats, squacquerone, and giardiniera—all truly delicious. Outstanding first courses, excellent desserts. Average prices.

20/11/2025: Friendly staff and fairly quick service. We had an appetizer, tortellini in broth and seasonal vegetables, all good. Prices are a bit high, considering the portions are relatively small. Visited on 11/16/2025.

20/11/2025: ⭐☆☆☆☆ Very disappointing phone experience I called simply to ask if it was possible to reserve a table for the evening and what time dinner was available. The person who answered was extremely rude and hung up on me without any explanation. This is unacceptable behavior for a restaurant that should welcome customers with courtesy and professionalism. After this experience, I have decided not to book and unfortunately cannot recommend it.

15/11/2025: The service from the waiters was terrible; they were rude. We had high expectations, but as soon as we arrived, absolutely every single one of them was rude, acting as if serving customers was a favor. Save yourself the trouble. I think there are good places on every corner, and this one is just a place with a bad reputation.

15/11/2025: Everything was very good, and the staff were friendly. The prices were reasonable for the location, but the portions were a bit small and sometimes a bit sloppy.

03/12/2025: The only small flaw: they offered us zuppa inglese, but it was already sold out even though we were among the first customers. Otherwise, everything was really good.
