Truly excellent food, prepared according to local traditions, almost as if it were cooked by your grandmother. A must-try if you want to enjoy authentic flavors in a setting reminiscent of your own home.

03/01/2026: I really enjoyed the beef tartare; the well-balanced smoked caramelized onion gave it a unique yet unobtrusive flavor.
The Artusi 87 was nothing special, lacking in flavor, and the basil sauce didn't quite hit my taste. The lasagna looked beautiful, but it was thinly stuffed with ragù and flavorless béchamel. The cheek was perfect, and I really enjoyed the Jerusalem artichoke reduction. The Bolognese cutlet was decent, and the tortellini were good. Many dishes aren't worth the price; the traditional Bolognese cuisine is good, but generally you can find better and cheaper elsewhere. The service was very professional, and the atmosphere was pleasant. Good wine selection, but parking wasn't easy.

my niece's graduation at this place and had a really great time. Danilo and Francesca, the owners, were very kind, and their food lived up to our expectations.

11/01/2026: A place where you can feel a genuine provincial welcome. Authentic, homemade dishes, a gruff innkeeper who entertains with that now-instinctive sarcasm befitting restaurants like this. Definitely worth a try and share with those who aren't expecting to be served in a Michelin-starred restaurant, but are staying at a longtime friend's house and opening their own kitchen (with their mother in charge!)
The fried cream is delicious, and definitely worth a try!

19/01/2026: I actually visited Bologna more than a year ago and tried this spot because it was relatively close to our hotel.
While essentially every restaurant we visited in the city was good, this one left a good impression as the first place we tried when we arrived. Of course we had the pasta ragu. The sauce was on the milder side, and the pasta itself had excellent texture/bite.
I had a bit of a hard time remembering the name of the restaurant so I have combed through Google maps to find it.
The gentleman who took care of us provided excellent service.
I’d recommend this restaurant to friends who visit the city in the future.

14/10/2025: My experience was completely negative, simply because of the presumption of the gentleman at the register. The arrogance and presumption he displayed toward the customer was unparalleled... simply because I asked for a bottle of water I'd ordered and never opened to be removed from my bill. But the irony was that, despite expressing his disagreement with not charging me for it, and explaining that he was kindly doing me a favor, if I hadn't checked the receipt, I never would have gone back and asked him to give me that infamous bottle of water that he'd accidentally forgotten to remove from my bill. How sad.
